-.8 to 129.4. Had about 1430 in calories so that's about an extra 30 from the day before. Need to tweak my menu for today and probably will add an avocado salad to up my calories a bit since when I checked today it was under 1300 calories. Will aim for 1400-1430 for the next few days and see what happens.

Was reading my free Kindle Chia cookbook. A little nervous since they really do not look appetizing at all. But I did like the idea of adding them to recipes or using as an egg substitute. Will probably try them out next weekend when I actually buy some.

WTG! Avocado will certainly raise your number.
Chia seeds aren't bad, I mixed them with protein powder & water & ate. They sure are expensive though. I saw them in a recipe on Mark's daily apple which made frozen coconut bars, now that looked good... but high cal! I imagine you could add them to almost anything.
Have a fun day!

Rainy Monday morning are just the worst to wake up to ! +1.4 to 130.8 but tom is supposed to get here anytime now as evidenced by bloating and cramps. I also was on my bike and lost track of time last night & ended up doing 1 hour & 15 min which made me very sore this morning

Not doing anything different. I had upped calories for 2 days so today going back down to 1350. Hubby yesterday ordered me a threadmill through QVC. Very sweet but it gets here in 3 weeks Didn't have the heart to complain since he was so proud that he got it at a good price and in a 4 month payment plan.

Looking forward to getting it since I am getting bored with my recumbent bike & honestly my rear hurts after a while from all the sitting. It will be great to alternate machines & it does have attachments for arm exercises & speakers for my Iphone. Now to figure it out when it gets here in mid October. He meant well and that's all that matters & now I am getting excited. MY exercise room will really look like a mini little gym soon.

Wow that's great! Its wonderful that he did that! Hope its a "good one"! My DH made me get rid of a piece of equipment last time I added a piece... although, I just "loaned it out." Couldn't let it go completely...(my nordic ski-machine). It will be good for you to get off your butt &helps tone that too!

So good that you know what is "weighing you down." Alternating your cals through this tom should do you well also.

Have a great Monday!

My true test when tom finally gets here and the scale starts to climb ! I am telling myself not to freak, not to change anything & it will go back down when tom leaves. I am also staying away from Publix this week since that's where I buy the full fat Greek yogurt & don't want to be tempted and make a "just in case" purchase

I keep telling myself if worse comes to worse after tom leaves and if the scale still hasn't budged "then" I can do the GY but I need to give it a chance to work out on it's own.

The funny conversations that go on in my head sometimes !

Good for you, being determined to see it through! That will be a big test, but I bet it will be very educational!

Down -.8 130.0 after doing the same and not changing anything. Yesterday had about 1330 in calories, today upping back up to 1380. I think I will do it slowly, then the next day 1400 then back down for a day and then slowly build up to 1450 or so.

This weekend going out to eat with the family which is another hurdle for me. I've done it a few times but I always tend to stress even when making the right choices. So just going to try and relax and enjoy myself !

I need to make myself realize if I have a bite of something the world will not come to an end. For example I always get my husband dinner from the restaurant downstairs at work. They cook fresh and pretty healthy. This saves me time when I get home around 4:30 pm when I literaly run through the door, help my son with homework and eat my dinner around 5:30 pm. This way I am able to give hubby his dinner when I am working with my son.

So I got him Salsbury steak and garlic mashed potatos last night. He left a bite or 2 of steak and offered it to me. He said my face was priceless with a mixture of horror and uncertainty. I bit the bullet and had the bite and drumroll..the world did not end, I did not balloon up today

Perfect rotation! Going great in spite of "friend" coming...
LOL, I sure relate to your trepidation... you've come too far to get tripped up now. I tend to go hungry every time we go out. Still, I enjoy it. Helps a lot if you can study the menu before you go, so you know what you're having & will be "over it" if you're not happy about them. You probably won't have as hard a time as I do, since you're not as restricted in your foods. Hope you have fun!

Yep, one bite (especially meat) is certainly not going to "get you"! For me, in times past, the things that do reach out & drag you in... desserts with sugar!

Have a great day!

TOM finally got here yesterday and up +.2 130.2. Waiting for a bigger number on the scale but keeping my fingers crossed that the exercise and calorie rotation is helping. I think the gradual increase in calories is the best. Yesterday about 1300, today and tomorrow 1350 then Friday I'll go up to 1400 and so on until I am doing more 1400 days than 1300-1350.

Still mananged to exercise yesterday which actually helped with the tom symptoms after I got going for a few minutes. My right knee is hurting a bit so took a little break from doing some lunges and slowed down the pace on the exercise bike a bit.

Great! Glad its working so far!
Hope your knee recovers fast. Mine used to bother me too, always had to "warm up" first... go slow for first 5 minutes on my stair-climber (back then).
Have a good day!

Down -.2 to 130.0 so pretty good so far with tom. Almost too good to be true actually. I placed an order last night on Netrition and ordered some white Chia seeds and more flaxmeal and stocked up on my bran crispbreads. Will start off adding the Chia to some flax muffins. Let's see if I'm brave enough to make some other recipes with it. It just looks so strange but if I can eat chicken liver I can defintely eat Chia seeds !

My knee thankfully is better. Looking forward to some shopping this weekend and can't believe the holidays are around the corner already. Lots of planning to do.

STS the same today 130.0. The strangest tom ever with no fluctuation at all. I wonder if it's the exercise or Taking it and not over analyzing it. No changes or planming om anything. My current goal is just to make this WOE and exercise as routine and normal to me as brushing my teeth and waking up in the morning.

Ah, you're one of those! LOL... Hope all the holidays don't cause a problem with your 'focus'

This is such a big hurdle for you. Discovering you don't need CD's & then discovering you can avoid CD's & panic through TOM. Wow! That's huge! Soon you'll be 'running' on your treadmill like an athlete!

Woke up down -1.2 to 128.8 & had a hectic morning with some shopping and errands. Went to Publix and grabbed some thin rib eyes for lunch and they had seedless watermelon chunks buy 1 get 1 free and I treated myself. They were so good, I can't even remember the last time I had watermelon. I really do love my fruits

That's a nice surprise, being down so low. This TOM is really breaking records huh?

That's good that you made it through the holidays unscathed last year. They don't bother me much either. I just continue on as usual.
Hope you had a delightful Saturday!

Well a very surprising Sunday morning weigh in down -1.2 to 127.8 ! I was wondering if it's tom leaving but I didn't gain any weight when it was here. I then thought maybe it's the exercise finally kicking in ? I had more fruits than ever yesterday with pears & watermelon ! Calories I was at 1445 for the 2nd day...hmm wonder if my body is telling me to keep the calories upped. I did notice yesterday I was particularly hungry, truly hungry and I haven't felt like that in a long while. But who knows, not going to overly analyse it.

Well not changing anything..just going to see what happens this upcoming week. Tomorrow I'll have my "Monday back to work/less sleep" bounce up but it sure was a nice little surprise.

Hi, Pandora (what is your real name?). I just saw you over on Julie's journal and saw your stats. I am so impressed so I came over here to read more. You were already in maintenance when you started this thread so you don't go into much detail of how you did the hhcg, etc.

Were you rogue or did you do strict Simeon's protocol? I would really appreciate knowing more so I can see maybe what might work for me. I've done a few rounds of rogue hhcg using pellets but only the first round really went well. The others I just couldn't get into the groove again.

That's such good news for you, upping your cals & losing wt. Your exercise is really paying off & metabolism is showing for it! Are you still rotating your cals at all?
Hope you have a good Monday! After today I'm looking forward to work to "rest"!

I'm not purposely doing the calorie thing but it seems I do it without planning. This past Fri/Sat/Sun I averaged 1400ish , today I checked out my food app & it comes to about 1200ish. I really think it's all about the exercise though. My thighs are slimmer and so is my waist.

Hi My name is Barbara. I started January 2012 dieting at about 248 lb. I had been heavy since my mid 20's and at 44 had enough finally. I went with my my co-workers to a weightloss clinic & lost my first 40 lbs there. They used B shots, appetite suppresants and a vlcd of about 700 and very very low carb. I learned how to eat and most important got the motivation that I could actually lose the weight. I really felt hopeless before that. Then I stopped the clinic since it was very expensive and the medication was keeping my bp and heart rate too high.

I wasn't giving up and felt I had the tools to do it on my own. I then researched hHCG and did about 5 rounds with either drops or later pellets. I am a combo of protocol and rogue in the sense that I followed the on plan foods but not the length between rounds. I've also cut my last 2 rounds short when I couldn't take it anymore.

I really got to goal weight in November of 2012 but tried 2x more times to get lower. One time right away after a vacation binge fest and that round just took off the vacation gain. Then I did a pure vanity round that got me down to 122 but I just couldn't maintain such a low weight. That was about 6 months ago. I tried real hard with the 5:2 WOE as well but could not for the life of me stick 122.

So I faced facts and accepted 128-130 is were my body wants to be and where I can exercise every day, not have to do endless CD and just be able to maintain the weight and am actually very happy. I have been able to stop all my medications for hbp and anxiety. My numbers every time I go in for blood work are amazing according to my Dr. Also the weight loss has changed my confidence and relationships with my family. I am glad I tried all different types of WOE and have incorporated what has worked for me into maintenace. Like I eat in an 8 hour window (IF) and that helped with the binging and night time eating. I read Weight Loss Apocolypse and that book helped me learn to eat to hunger and the hunger scale. I have my CD tricks like GY and FF in case of indulgence or vacation gain. I know what foods work and which don't for me. I try really really hard to make my WOE enjoyable and know I need to be vigilant. I put my menu in a food app every day, I eat my on plan foods every day - no exceptions, I exercise every day and I track calories as well as weigh in.

So I am putting the same energy into maintenance that I did into losing the weight. By now it has become 2nd nature and not a hardship at all. It's the price I pay to be healthy & I gladly pay it. Sure the clothes are nice and the whole being thin is awesome but the real benefit is how I am a much better wife and mother now. Before I would just lay on the couch. I was depressed, angry and ate and ate as well as drank too much and that person is gone

Great Barbara,
That's pretty much the way mine goes too, almost the same wts. & I tend to go between 1250-1400 calories. You may have to throw some nuts or chia in there to raise yours up.
Have a great Monday!

I love the brand Joseph. Their lavash bread is amazing and so are their pita pockets. I found them here on Netrition and my local BJ's has them as well. For the pizza I use Bella Vita low carb pasta sauce that is amazing and I use whatever cheese I have on hand with pepperoni and browned ground organic beef & mushrooms with cherry tomato. I then bake in the oven until the cheese is melted. You can top it with whatever toppings you like.

But the wraps are just amazing ! I have done everything with them. One of my favorite snacks is half a lavash bread 50 cal. and an ounce of Brie cheese 100 cal and it's the perfect snack but most improtantly it satisfies my bread craving.

Barbara, thank you so much for explaining how you lost the weight. That's astonishing that you did it all in one year. Did I read that right? I know you said you kept trying to go lower but you reached goal weight that November.

The first round I did on hhcg, I did it for over 80 days but I'd go off for a day here or there for a family function. The next day I would fast with just water and maybe a little fruit in the evening if I was really hungry, then the day after that I'd be back to my regular plan. I was following the Omaha Weight Loss diet so I have never tried to do it protocol.

Now the only pellets I have been able to find don't keep me from being hungry. The other brand appears to have vanished. There are still pellets out there that are going by their brand name and bottle even is advertised to be blue, but when the pellets arrive, they are in brown bottles and the pellets are large and milky in color. And they don't dissolve all the way, which kind of creeps me out. Makes me wonder what they're made of.

Anyway, I have decided to go back to LC but after reading your story, maybe I'll keep the calories around 1000 and add the pellets into the equation. The LC will keep the hunger down and maybe the pellets will help to speed things along. I'll try not to go "Atkins" and maybe eat a lower fat LC.

Again, thanks so much. I am a night binger myself. I can go all day long only drinking coffee with ez sweetz and half and half, and water. But I get home from work and relax a while, and I start eating at around 8 or 9 at night. Then I have had a few beers and get around to taking my night time meds (again, hearing your story gives me hope that I can get off most of that stuff when I get healthy), I eat even more due to the sleeping med and the booze combining and loosening me up.

I've heard of "night eating syndrome" and if there is such a thing, I'm guessing I have it. It's just going to take vigilance on my part to change. I know I can. I've done it before. I got down to 159 from 235 but then over time gained all the way back to the 220 range. It's mortifying. I can't live like this anymore. And I work on a horse farm and I can't even ride due to my ill health and joint issues.

Yes I lost it in a year (Jan 2012 -248 lbs to Nov 2012 -130.2). I noticed for me alcohol = bad food choices. Really bad and led to my binging because I would loosen up and relaxed too much So once I started dieting and I had to give it up for the clinic and then I did it for the HCG rounds I realized I can just not have ir or save it for very special occasions. That's just my choice and it seems to be working out well for me. I know if I drink beer it goes straight to my belly. But an occasional glass of wine is fine.

While I love HCG I realize loading for me = binging and I used it as an excuse to eat everything in sight. In Dec of last year I went to Orlando for 7 days and gained 22 lbs !! I ate and drank like the ancient Romans and came back mortified and horrified at myself. I jumped on a round and lost the weight in 2 weeks and then cut the round short.

Do you think I learned ? Nope I still had this vanity # in my head and in March did a quick load (8-9 lbs in 2 days) after binging/drinking & did get down to 122 in 3 weeks. BUT this time I did learn and finally got it through my thick head. This was the last time I have binged. I realized that not having to do another round was more important that the few minutes of feasting/gorging and afterwards I just felt horrible. I promised myself never again.

The pellets I use are Intermountain. Nope they don't dissolve and it's homeopathic but they seem to work for me in regards to hunger. Yeah, I wonder what's in it but it turned out well for me. I actually preferred the drops to the pellets for hunger control. The longest round I did was around 40days. What I do know is my most successful rounds my head was 100 % in it otherwise it was pure torture. Also planning is the most important advice and having all your foods ready.

The IF 8 hour window helped me not eat at night. I was always hungriest around 8 pm. Now I eat between 9:30 to 5:30 pm but no later than 6 pm. Truly not a hardship. It took a little while to get used to it but within 2 weeks it was second nature. I also noticed it helped curb my appetite. I rarely if ever have seconds of anything. Seems like I am always eating now and trying to up my calories (that n-e-v-e-r happened to me before).

You can do it !! Really, I am not just saying that. It's amazing really the changes losing weight has done for me. I for one thought I was going to die heavy, that being skinny & healthy was for other people. That's why I work so hard at maintenace because the alternative of gaining the weight back is not acceptable to me.
