I attribute it to the exercise. Once I started making it a routine other than being slimmer (not scale wise) & more toned my energy level went through the roof. I really think for me anyway exercise is the key to a successful maintenance.

down -.6 to 128.8 so keeping on the same. Today is my office's Christmas potluck but going to stay lc (pork, ham, turkey & salad). I "could" have a treat but I don't want to make a habit of it. When I do eat off plan I also want to enjoy it with my family.

TMI alert !! As to the bathroom issues...before I did the zero carbs for like 5 weeks I had no issues.. I would have my fruits, veggies and daily crispbread or flax muffin & I would go every single day like clockwork. The moment I went no carb about after 2 weeks the constipation started. Now I am adding in the carbs, the flax muffin but not every day since I don't want it "every day" but I am having a tablespoon of coconut oil in my evening coffee and still most days "nada".

And when I don't go every day I immediately feel bloated, gassy & uncomfortable. Last night I had my special tea and finally I went at 2:00 am !! It seems everyday I need to do something to get things going. And I take magnesium, tried cumin in my cooking etc etc etc.

I never had these issues when I was super heavy. But then again I had so many others that this is something while annoying I can deal with

bummer. My morning coffee and nighttime mag/pot supplement seem to be key for me. Give it some tie now that you're adding back the fiber and carbs...hopefully it'll straighten out on it's own.

STS 128.8 which is pretty good. What I do notice is now that I stopped the M&E it's harder to get all my calories in. I mean there are so many sauces I can use. I guess having those 6 eggs a day with mayo really made it easy to eat my calories. Now not so much. I know if I pick fattier meats, etc but sometimes I just want fish or chicken kwim ? So just going to eat what I want and not worry if the calories come in 1600 or 1300 as long as I'm full & eating what I enjoy !

Yesterday I must of been so tired I sat down a bit & woke up an hour & half later. So took that as a sign and skipped exercise (well actually slept through it) but today back on the treadmill. Hopefully my ab roller gets here today !!

It is interesting that you have trouble eating enough calories. I have the opposite problem. They seem to add up so quickly.

down -.8 to 128. Yesterday had about 1450 in calories, 13 carbs & 63 % fat. Breakfast was 2 eggs with salsa and 2 slices of liverwurst, Lunch was cream cheese chicken and 2 devilved eggs, snack was 2 oz of brie cheese, dinner was 6 ounces of ground chicken with sour cream and 2 eggs with full fat dressing. Did have coffee with heavy cream and then another with coconut oil so calories probably closer to 1550 but I try not to enter the coconut oil in my app so I make sure to eat more.

Today we are having our team holiday lunch at work & we are going to a very nice Italian restaurant. Breakfast will be same as yesterday just adding some berries. I'm planning on having the filet with asparagus and for the appetizer either shrimp cocktail or ceviche

Since I keep track of almost everything I eat and eat in an 8 hour window it's very easy to not eat enough. I also am very strict of stopping when I'm full. I can't remember the last time I had seconds of anything. I had read this book Weight Loss Apocalypse and it teaches you about intuitive eating and the hunger scale. That really hit home for me about the reasons we eat and how to eat to hunger !

It took a while but now it's become second nature to stop when satisfied. just stop. When I am stressed /happy etc etc instead of reaching for food (like I always did before) I will get up and do something, take a hot bath, surf the internet, do something around the house, exercise etc.

But I really no longer equate food = my personal happiness. I enjoy cooking and baking and I know others get great enjoyment from it. I do "enjoy " my foods but I don't feel deprived if say your eating a box of Krispy Kreme donuts next to me. I just choose not to eat that & I remember like to today my size 4 jeggings that I am wearing and fit nicely in & it's all worth it

By coincidence, the last couple of days I've found myself in an approach similar to the one you mention. I'd been having some difficulty discerning the difference between 'I think I should eat something' and 'I am actually hungry'. But during the last few days I suddenly realized that I really was not hungry and so I didn't eat. Yesterday I had an omelette and, later, a bowl of soup. I didn't end up eating any dinner because I never got hungry again. In future I am going to try to be better at deciphering the hunger/no hunger signals my body sends. Thank you so much for the book recommendation. I'm going to try to find and read it.

Well down -.2 to 127.8 Without trying but let's see what happens when tom gets here next week. Yesterday had for breakfast 2 eggs with salsa, some berries & 2 slices of liverwurst. Snack was a Vente coffee with heavy cream from Starbucks. Then onto our team lunch where I had lobster as an appetizer with butter and an 8 ounce filet with brocolli. I took 1 bite of the ricotta cheesecake. By the time I got home I was still stuffed so no dinner for me. Ended up with 2 coffee with coconut oil and whipped cream and I think I'm still full from yesterday's lunch

Today normal eating though I'm in need of the flax OMM since all that protein

Well down another pound to 126.8 Not that I'm complaining at all but never have lost weight without really trying. I've been thinking it could be one of several things. 1) tom is supposed to come next week 2) I've been exercising routinely for the last few months so maybe it's finally working (scale wise) 3) I just ended my no carb only M&E woe and have started adding back some good carbs & I know I'm not eating as many calories every single day 4) I added in coconut oil 5) just a fluctuation and I'll be back to 128-130 sooner or later 6) I have been very diligent about keeping my bathroom issues resolved

Who knows and I'm not going to over think it really. Just keep eating to hunger and keep being accountable, stay healthy, keep exercising and just "be" without trying to tweak or fix or copy or do anything

up +.6 to 127.4. Been sticking to exercise and eating my foods. Just going to relax the rest of the week. Today we're visiting with my older sister a bit & drop off their Christmas presents. She knows how I eat so other than "you're too skinny" she won't push food. It was very nice because she asked me what to make so that I can actually eat. She'll be making pork and salad for me and mac & cheese for DS who doesn't eat rice & beans with the pork.

Then back home and just watching movies. Tomorrow evening we'll go to our local zoo who decorates for Christmas and has a light show and hot chocolate and 3D lights so that should be fun.

Made an impromptu cockpot steak. I was going through the fridge (way too much stuff in there) and had 4 thin sirloins that needed to be made pronto, 2 thin rib eyes & a sirloin in tupperware. So I threw them all in the crock pot with 2 yellow squash, lots of garlic and cilantro and half a bottle of mojo and this morning the meat was falling apart ! Super yummy & at least 5 or 6 meals in there next week for me !!

up +1.2 to 128.6 but tom is coming any minute now. Really don't want tom during Christmas but what can I do. Just going to make the best of it.

Had a really nice time with the family yesterday. My niece passed by and my DS loves her & I was able to visit with my sister and brother in law. They both are not in the best of health so it was a nice visit. When we got home DS played with his presents and we watched a Home Alone movie marathon so no time to exercise.

Today just going to relax and see if I can fit in some treadmill time and will take a nice long hot bath. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve which in my culture is a big deal. Waking up and my DH goes to pick up the pork and fixings. We'll watch holiday movies and then eat early followed by stockings and then more holiday movies and some board games. Then make cookies with my DS for Santa.

Then Christmas morning present time and I usually make breakfast and lunch is left overs or a bunch of appetizers. I can't believe Christmas is already here !

up +.6 129.2 but tom is raging ! double yuck but going to make the best of it. Made a simple breakfast this morning for everyone. Now watching Christmas cartoons while hubby picks up the pork at Publix. When he gets back we'll bake cookies and watch Santa Buddy and then open stockings before eating. We usually eat early more a late lunch than dinner. Then just relax the rest of the day. I do have 2 gifts coming from Amazon today that I need to wrap somehow without DS noticing.

Well ate like a little piggie but truly ate what I wanted and enjoyed it with my family. Don't feel I over ate or binged but I did allow myself to indulge.

Baked chocolate chip cookies with DS and enjoyed about 4 of them. Then I ate a late lunch of shredded pork, rice and beans with yuca and Cuban bread with butter. Had 2 servings with salad. Skipped dinner since I was so full but did have some more Cuban bread with butter as DS played outside with his remote control cars.

Let's see what I'll do tomorrow. Either a no carb day or a GY but since I have tom the scale will likely be up anyways. So we'll see how I wake up tomorrow and take it from there. I do like the idea of certain days allowing indulgences which I have done in the past but I seem to have gotten away from that. I've just focused on being 100 % on plan 100 % of the time and forgot it's ok to relax a bit, enjoy life and then the next day get back on plan.

-.2 129.0 woo hoo ! An extra Christmas gift, no correction day for me !! Not bad after all though by bed time all those carbs gave me some major digestive issues. Today eating super clean. Started the morning with some full fat GY and a big bowl of berries. Lunch will probably be some shredded pork and salad. Dinner some shrimp wrapped in bacon and more pork. Going to do the treadmill today for at least 20 min.

What I did learn from my indulgence it is very easy to over eat those type of foods even when full. Almost like my brain shuts off the full signal I normally have. Some foods are worse than others. Cookies and bread are definitely my weakness for sure. But it is ok to indulge on special occasions and I didn't feel too badly though there were some moments that I struggled. The key is the next day get back on plan because it can be very easy to just keep eating that way.

Had a wonderful Christmas morning with the family DS got everything on his list so he's a happy boy. I got some gift cards, a new Michael Kors purse & a watch from DH so I'm a happy girl as well. I got DH a new radio for his car and some t-shirts and a car battery charger he wanted. Feel very blessed. Presents are super nice but spending time together is the best. We're pretty low key and DH doesn't go for the holidays with lots of people but we always have great holidays. We spent yesterday as a family at least an hour playing with a dentist play doh set. Pretty soon we're going to start a 1000 piece Lego castle set

up +.2 129.2 had about 1570 in calories, 68 % fat 27 net carbs with 30 min on the treadmill. Most of the carbs came from a cup of greek yogurt. Eating clean today and doing my treadmill. I have been battling a bit of emotional hunger since Christmas eve. Haven't given in and been trying to keep busy but not sure if it as the sugars/starches from Christmas eve or a combination with tom.

Staying strong but I wonder if I should of done a CD Christmas day since that always puts my eating back on track. and cleans out my system. Will give it one more day if today continues like this I do have GY in the fridge and may just do one and see.

Today is a rainy day and DS is playing video games so will maybe head out to Cracker Barrel for lunch or just stay in and watch movies and relax.

Sounds like you're doing great. Sugars/carbs always do that to me, what you're doing is the hard way (especially with TOM). But it will do the same, eventually as the CD. That darn sugar has lasting effects that have to 'wear' off. Should be better each day.
Have a good one!

Down -1.4 to 127.8. TOM is finally gone and I guess the water weight. Yesterday came in at 1400 calories with 60 % fat, 3 carbs and 25 min on the treadmill. Today bringing my carbs a bit since I was craving GY and berries in the morning. Lunch was at Outback and I had 2 mushrooms with crab, a 6 oz sirloin with grilled shrimp and broccoli. No bread or dessert and I am happy to say the cravings are gone ! My head hunger is also under control though I feel really full still so no idea how I am going to get dinner in today. May just do a snack and some coffee with coconut oil. Also back on the treadmill which brings me to my goal of 5x a week again !!

Had a nice day with the family and we got to use gift cards everywhere lol We went to Marshall's so I could use my gift card, then Gamestop for DS to use his gift card and then lunch at Outback so use the one we got from my brother in law. DS is now building another Lego set while we watch some family movies. Tomorrow time for my mani/pedi then home for a do nothing kind of day.

Sadly my vacation time is coming to an end Wish I could be home permanently but that's just not in the cards for me.

Your post about having berries and yogurt made me suddenly remember last night's dream in which I made a huge smoothie with yogurt and tons of fruit, consumed it with gusto and was overcome with guilt and fear that all was lost. A very intense dream. It is so strange that I dreamed that since in real life I haven't been craving fruit and in fact haven't experienced any off plan cravings at all.

Down -1.4 to 126.4 I'll take it, came in last night at 1600 calories, 59 % fat & 43 net carbs. Most came from the GY and the veggies at lunch but the hunger cravings are almost all gone from my Christmas Eve indulgence. Today did my mani/pedi so when I do that I skip breakfast since I'm at the salon from 10 am to 12. Then just had to use my Kohl's gift card and then stopped at a new Cuban bakery that opened. I got an entire box of every single type of pastry, empanada, croquette imaginable and 2 sandwiches for DH & DS. I didn't take a single bite so I'm back to my old strict self lol

Came home and made a salad with cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce and grilled turkey with a bowl of strawberries & blackberries and whipped cream. Stuffed and very satisfied.

What plan do you follow when you eat ? I notice that even when I do moderate low carb greek yogurt has never affected me or most people I know. Something about the carbs coming from the dairy and if you add berries those are very low on the glycemic scale.I do know for some people any fruit does wake up the sugar monster but I am fortunate that fruit doesn't do that.

+2.0 to 128.4. Did come in a little low yesterday in the calories and and I do know I didn't have a bm yesterday. It's so funny how not going to the bathroom or feeling stressed out can affect the scale. Enjoying my last vacation day before going back to work tomorrow. Feeling a little blue since I really would love to spend an extra week at work and Christmas is over.

Going to relax today and get some cooking done for next week so I don't have to worry about it. Will do my treadmill and probably take a long bath. Hubby wants me to make a turkey breast for New Year's but I don't feel like cooking particularly since I have to work on the 31st. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
