up +.2 to 129.2 came in about 1350 calories with 65 % fat, 5 carbs & 33 minutes on the treadmill. Today doing more of the same, will try and up my calories a bit & keep my treadmill in. Would like to see 128 again but while I never am crazy about my fluctuations they are what they are. No matter how well I eat I fluctuate from 128 to 130.

Need to run and do some errands. I made a crockpot of my cream cheese chicken which is pretty yummy. Just 4 oz of full fat cream cheese, 4 chicken breasts + lots of dry spices and mojo and done ! Simple and very good. I also shred the chicken, separate into 3 containers and each serving is 307 calories, 14 grams of fat & 2.7 carbs.

Just posted in the Meat & Egg thread since it's some thoughts that since Thanksgiving have been going through my head. Other than being on plan which I am happy about I was wondering the real reasons I didn't have my one minute muffin or GY with berries on Thanksgiving ? I know I get very ocd about an eating plan. I become very strict and unbending which like anything too extreme is bad. I then tend to me very hard on myself and forget that this is "life" and not a competition with myself which I seem to very good at. I also then get scared of certain foods. And I hate when that happens because for me it gives food control over me that I equate with my heavy days.

Anyway here is the post : "Hi Ladies ! Still essentially M&E though I do have about 2 oz of Brie cheese daily & some salsa. Seems very easy and I am able to keep my calories at an average of 1500 but have some says 1600 calories. I am maintaining lower than before with more calories so I'm pretty happy. I have seen a low of 127 but normally fluctuate between 128-130. Been eating M&E since 10/12 so about 7 weeks. For me this WOE is maintenance but I'm sure if I restricted calories I could lose but not interested in that right now.

May start adding some healthy carbs since I want to avoid boredom. May start having a salad or veggies here and there and then follow with M&E days. Right now averaging 5 to 7 carbs which come from the fats and meats themselves. Just don't want to get to the place where I sometimes get that for fear of not rocking the boat I start getting scare of certain foods."

I realized I have been eating practically zero carbs for 7 weeks. I used to truly love my berries and my OMM with flax and whipped cream. I can't say that this lc M&E WOE is a sacrifice because I do enjoy the eggs and proteins but I am wondering if deep down I am scared of what ?? Make a flax muffin and not eat as much ? Have an apple and what ? gain weight the next day ?

I notice I start things with the best of intentions because I really do need the structure but I then take things too far Just thinking out loud and I guess today when I went to BJ's for groceries and avoided the fruit and veggie section it made me a little sad when it used to be my favorite place.

down -1.4 to 128.0. So funny since yesterday I came in at 1950 calories with
75 % fat, 7 net carbs and no exercise since my day off. The high calories were from the angus burgers + thin rib eye steaks at lunch and dinner

Today just relaxing with the family and going to try and not worry so much about which WOE I end up doing or not. We are having a Christmas family movie marathon kind of day and then bbq for lunch. Tomorrow have my last day off from work. Planning on getting my blood work done and need to use my Kohl's cash for some Christmas bathroom decorations and the house is then finally ready for the Holidays !!

your cream cheese chicken sounds so delicious...how do you cook the chicken...on the stove, in the oven or in a crockpot?

In the crockpot. I just put it on slow overnight & in the morning shred the chicken and put it into containers ready for meals. I've also done it with GY vs cream cheese, added frozen broccoli, frozen shrimp or even sweat potato ! It is my go to quick meal. Even skip the cream cheese just add a little more liquid.

up +1.2 to 129.2 seems I keep fluctuating the same pound from 128 to 129 the last week. I also think it's time to add some carbs in. Feel kinda off the last few days. Just tired and not in the best of moods even with exercise. So going to start adding back in some carbs. Today had lettuce with half a tomato for lunch with rotisserie turkey. Dinner will be ground pork and half an avocado. Tomorrow will be no carbs and then the next day back to adding in carbs. May just keep it like that one day yes and one day no until I see the same numbers as I"m seeing now. Then I'll start building up my carbs to where I was before I started this woe.

I just hope I can keep my calories between 1500 to 1800 so will try to ease into the carbs. But to be honest while doable I still am low on the calories. My Dr thinks I should be closer to 2000 or more since I exercise 5x a week. I'm just freaked about that many calories and gaining weight !!

If any gains or oops I can just go back to strick no carbs or FF (fat fast). But I've been craving some fruit and more ruffage in my diet. So I think it's time to make a change yet again in how I eat.

Had to change my menu a bit since the avocado was too green ! I had already cut it up so I added some red wine vinegar and olive oil with salt/ pepper & put in the fridge. Hopefully it will ripen by tomorrow ?

So no breakfast today since I was fasting for blood work for my annual checkup from 2 week's ago. Then lunch was small salad (lettuce & half a tomato & Marie's full fat ranch dressing) with about 6 oz of rotisserie turkey. Dinner was 6 oz of ground pork and 2 sunflower crispbread crackers with melt (organic coconut spread). I so missed that crunch Coffee with hwc and came in at 1300 calories, 64 % fat & 12 net carbs. Didn't really feel like exercise, still a little off so I skipped it. Decorated my bathroom for Christmas instead lol

Tomorrow have about 1500 calories planned, 63 % fat and 8 carbs. Will do my treadmill and then the next day build up my carbs again. Hoping by next week I can add in strawberries and a veggie at every meal. Will still do one day carbs and one day none so I don't shock my system. Also want to make sure I get in a minimum of 1500 calories and have on my no carb day a bit higher (1600 or higher ?) My ultimate goal would be to be able to have some healthy grains or other carbs and if I crave it an indulgence and not be scared of it.

My son's b-day is December 13th and I would like to have a tiny piece of cake to celebrate his day.

Thanks so much for the recipe...it really sounds yummy. I have an old crockpot I've not used in over a decade...I think I'll drag it out...oops, may have already given it to the Goodwill or the Rescue Mission. I'm always trying to unburden myself of possessions I no longer use. It's a wonderful feeling to divest myself of 'things' which only clutter my life but in this case [now that I have your wonderful recipe in hand] I really hope I've not already given the crockpot away.

STS the same 129.2 so that's a good thing since I started adding good carbs back in & I have less sleep since back to work today. Today's menu is a no carb day but that really is impossible since even if meat/cheese/eggs there are always some carbs. Tomorrow may venture in GY or a flax muffin !! Back to exercise today though ! Feel better emotionally today and just going to try and relax and take things one day at a time. Still be mindful and track my foods but I need to stop stressing !! lol

I love my crockpot though my hubby doesn't like the taste it gives food I have to make this steak recipe this week as well. I basically get a really big steak the cheapest cut and put it in the crockpot with half an onion and lots of dry spices and mojo and overnight. The next day the meat is just falling apart

It's a marinade that is very common in South Florida and easy to find in every grocery store. It's a combination of garlic and citrus.

up +1.0 to 130.2. Exercised yesterday so the scale should even out by the weekend. Was reading a lot about trying to get over the diet mentality and just focus on health & well being. The first thing I am trying to get through my head is that a woman's body can fluctuate every week up to 4 lbs and it's just normal water, waste, food, inflammation and not fat. Not something we need to rush to correct or stress over. Easier said than done but I am making some progress. Trying to focus on that versus a number on the scale.

Today have 1500 calories planned with 56 % fat and 11 carbs and the treadmill. Thursday and Friday will do traditional Meat & Egg days. Over the weekend will add back some veggies and ease back into carbs.

Oh my, that would be really difficult to handle... +4 lbs. Although I do remember that happening in my younger days because of TOM &/or salt. I'm probably worse than you, if it goes up at all I'm disappointed.
I will have to read that book...
Have a great day!

Trust me I know ! I usually fluctuate about 2 lbs per week and that is beyond stressful at times. Right now I'm ovulating so I break out and the scale goes up a bit but tom can definitely put me into the 3 or 4 lbs up range. And even if I know that I ate on plan and there is no way I could of gained it is still a little moment of disatisfaction when the scale goes up.

At least I'm not running to do correction days like before when I went up 2 lbs. But I do have my limit of 132 and then regardless I do something about it. I do see some progress..baby steps

Your doing great. Giving your body room to fluctuate is wise. I'm kind of adjusting to that idea while I try to heal my metabolism. It's rough when you're used to losing weight to allow a gain? I'm giving a range, but I wish it were lower numbers.

How is the adding carbs going? Are you still m&e fasting? Hope the transition goes well for you.

It's only been a few days but I did notice my constipation issues go away the moment I start adding carbs but that's a big sign I'm doing the right thing. Still really low in carbs but from having zero or less than 5 from meats and eggs it's definite progress. Yesterday came at 12 but net after fiber was only 4 and today 15 but net only 11. Tomorrow doing M&E only and Friday may have GY and berries since those are good carbs and I'd like to see what my body does with all those carbs ? Also I've been just feeling nauseous and I've noticed GY days re-set my eating and make my stomach feel better. I think my system needs it. I always feel better after a GY day. Then Saturday back to M&E and Sunday will venture into some veggies for lunch & dinner with my protein.

Feeling very very bloated tonight. May just do GY and berries tomorrow to clean out the pipes. Didn't really anything new or off plan. Might be that I'm ovulating and that just throws me off. I'm breaking out big time and just feel "off". We'll see what the scale says tomorrow and how I feel. Have my regular lunch and GY ready for whatever I decide in the morning.

I was very interested to learn that a 4 lb variation is normal. I have noticed a 1-1.5 fluctuation and like you, I stress over it...it isn't so much that being 1 lb up is in itself terribly distressing...what is upsetting is the fear it engenders...fear that tomorrow will bring an additional lb and the day after, one more etc. it's comforting to remind myself this is all perfectly normal.

I track my weight everyday & unlike today which is not normal for me I go up and down all the time. Last week my numbers were : 128.6/127.8/129.2/130.2/129.0/128.0/129.2/

If tom comes around the variations may be more drastic. I've been tracking my weight so long I can tell the night before woth some certainitly what the scale will say in the morming. I am always 2 lbs up before I go to bed vs when I wake up. For me the fluctuations all depend if I have tom, if I exercise, if I sleep too much or too little, stress, constipation is a big one for me, too much salt & hence inflammation. But as long as I'm eating the same foods it's not fat but yeah it's stressful. When I get like that I look at my past numbers and see I keep hitting the same numbers over and over and the scale will adjust and it does ! I also know like today if I need to take care of things I do and then go back to normal eating. So that I find eases my fears a lot. Not that it's easy because I am "happier" or my step is lighter kinda feeling lol when I see 127/128 vs days like today !! But I know I can always take of any gain regardless of the cause by either a greek yogurt day, fat fast, meat & egg or 500 calorie day. That to me is priceless in having control over my weight and nipping things in the bud before they get out of control.

So for today up +2.0 to 132.2 so doing a GY day for sure. But I knew it last night and here comes the tmi so stop reading lol The day before I had avocado and things were moving along. Yesterday nada and I was feeling a little bloated. Didn't have any veggies and my other avocado was green. So I had this tea and I've taken it before and it never worked. This tea came with my detox package and the online suggestion was to open it and drink the leaves it steeping it doesn't give you results. Well I did and immediately my stomach felt like it was turning to lead. My bloating got 100x worse. I couldn't go for the life of me. So decided today to do the GY to ease my stomach because I am hoping it will get things going so to speak.

Lesson learned, stay away from that tea !!

Lesson learned, stay away from that tea !!
bummer on the tea and the scale. But at least you know what it's from. Enjoy that gycd! Love those!! May add more GY myself .

Down -2.4 to 129.8. GY definitely got things going and settled my stomach nicely. Now to keep it up ! I did miss my full fat Cabot GY but all I had was 0% Chobani which is ok but not as creamy or delicious like the Cabot brand.

Today doing a M&E day and back to the treadmill. Tomorrow will have some good carbs and just take things one day at a time. Will probably keep cycling no carb with a few carbs next week.

Friday its my son's 11th birthday !! We are taking him to an Argentinian steakhouse for his b-day. So meats galore and they have a fantastic buffet as well. Going to stick to lc for lunch, probably skip breakfast so I can save my calories for lunch and a tiny slice of birthday cake.

Then his b-day gift which he is so excited about an X-Box One which I was able to put on layaway through WalMart & I almost have it paid off !

Happy Friday !!

Enjoy the birthday celebration. It sounds as though your little one is going to really going to have a great birthday!

I meant to tell you yesterday that I have on hand a senna tea which works well in emergencies. I've found it to be almost too effective so I rarely have used it and would only use in a desperate situation. There are a number of varieties available. I buy it at a regular grocery. The type I currently have on the shelf is labeled: "The Original Laci Le Beau Super Dieter's Tea". It contains Senna and Stevia.

I must tell you that I think it is almost too strong for me. I had my original box of tea around for over a decade. The current box I've had for 2 or 3 years and only used once since I'm a little afraid of its power and since usually internal affairs eventually seem to right themselves without outside assistance. If I were to need it again I would approach it cautiously and follow the directions exactly, making sure not to brew it too long and only drink the amount suggested or probably even less.

I have a different tea "Badia Natural Herbs Slimming Tea" that is more gentle. When I was first dieting I would take it every other night. Will buy some today just in case if I need it. Today also just had a flax muffin (OMM or one minute muffin). That used to keep me regular with no need for teas or anything. So going to see if I can have that with breakfast from now on. It's very low carb about 3.2 net carbs so keeping my fingers crossed.

STS 129.8 which isn't bad after a GY correction day when I normally get bounce back. Came in last night at 1400 calories, 63 % fat, 4 carbs. Been pretty slack on the exercise this last week, only 2 days hit the treadmill. But will go back on the exercise routine though will go in easy today and aim for 20 minutes.

Today added in a flax OMM with my bacon for breakfast. Hoping it keeps me regular without teas and so many headaches. We'll see. It's very low carb and I had forgotten how yummy these things are !! No time for lunch today since going to the eye Dr. Thinking of getting contacts and let's see if I work up the courage to try them out. Then errands and probably will grab a rotisserie turkey at BJ's for dinner with full fat dressing and salad.

I want to start wrapping some Christmas presents this weekend so I don't have so much to do Christmas week.
