Day 4-still hanging in!

After I made my LC blondies, they weren't nearly as good as when it was raw. I guess that's a good thing. My mom will eat them for me so they won't go to waste. If I kept them raw I would have probably eaten the whole thing. That caramel sauce was divine!!

I'm finally starting to feel a bit better from my sugar and gluten fest over the weekend. I also accidently ran out of my hormones over the weekend so that didnt help my mood at all. To top it all off, the compounding pharmacy didnt get my message to refill my prescription, and when my husband went to pick it up....no meds! I went three whole days without it and my poor family had to suffer right along with me. It was not fun. At least I stayed on plan with my food.

One more thing, last year around this time, I was so excited to be able to fit into size 24 jeans. Today I went and bought myself a new pair and fit into a size 18. I'm excited. I am hoping to be under 200lbs by the time October rolls around.

Marika, you are right! I have a recipe for a GF, LC lemon pound cake that is my favorite. I don't make it because I HAVE to eat a piece every day and that's never a good thing.

Thanks y'all!!

Day 5-rocking it!

It was actually hard for me to get all of my calories in today. I made myself drink my BPC and still was 300 calories short.

Day 6-back down to my low weight of 205. If I just stick to my plan, I will be under 200 by October.

Day 7-blah!!

After coming off my 25 hour fast for Yom Kippur, I totally blew it. I would not be a good candidate for JUDD because not eating just makes me crazy in the head. All I could think about was the foods I shouldn't eat. We ended up going to a Mexican place tonight. The good news is that I probably didnt go over my calories for the day so I'm hopeful that not too much damage was done. Back to the drawing board tomorrow. Not chalking this day up to a failure though. Anybody that can fast all day and tune out the world for a day is better for it, IMHO.

Day 8

Today was a much better day. Thanks for the encouragement, Marika!! I managed to accomplish my weekend task, which was to clean out my trunk and out everything back in its place. I also got three loads of laundry done, made up a test for my economics students for tomorrow, studied for my class, and even sat outside and read my book for a while. It was a good day. And I made homemade spaghetti sauce for my family. Those garden tomatoes didnt go to waste after all.

Thanks ladies. I think she might be a bit better today. It's hard for someone with Alzheimer's to really be able to discern their pain. Sad!!

I have had a horrible day in the eating department. It was just a weird day. One bite of something carbish always leads to a free for all. Thank the good Lord above that we always have a fresh start tomorrow.

C fine, don't worry about your bad day -- it won't sabotage your entire plan. You are entitled to a bad day every now and then especially with the stress you are under caring for your mother. So sorry about her condition by the way and wishing you great strength as you go through this journey with her.

I'm back. I've been on a three day carb binge. Ugh! Back on plan tomorrow. I am starting to think I'm fraud to get under 200...lol

I AM DETERMINED to see 199 by the end of October. I've been low carbing for seventeen months. Surely I can manage to get to a 77 pound loss in eighteen months....surely!!

I made it through the day without carbs. So glad my hubby went back to work. He wants to eat every five minutes. He should be as big as a barn, but he's not.

Ok, I've made it through two days of on plan eating. I'm really hoping to be able to make it through tomorrow without any slip ups. My brain was trying to get me to stop and get fast food today, but I told her to shut the h$$l up!

I've been searching all over town for the Julian Paleo wraps and haven't been able to find them. The one store that carried them has stopped for some reason. I ended up buying them in bulk on the Julian website so I wouldn't have to pay so much for shipping. Hopefully they will be here soon. I will have six weeks worth. They make it so much easier to eat lunch at home. I've always had a hard time wanting to eat out for lunch. Even though the wraps are costly, they still save me money in the long run.

Day three on plan is going well. My DD and I went to the movie and I didn't et anything while there. Usually I feel like I have to have something, but I hadn't put anything in my eating plan for it so I did without. I was fine. It probably helps that DD can't have the popcorn or I might have caved.

I'm making a pizza casserole for dinner, and it smells wonderful. I quit making these kinds of meals a while back because I just got lazy. I realized that not cooking interesting meals at least once a week was leading to my eating off plan. Last year when I stuck with my plan for six months straight, I would make these kinds of dishes often. I am just trying to get back to that place where I stick with the plan and am happy with what I'm eating.

Crappy eating day today. I am trying to figure out why I do what I do so this may be a rambling rant.

I do fine as long as I have a plan and don't have to go to a social function where there is food. We had a luncheon today that I wasn't expecting and it just threw me for a loop. I honestly think I would be better off just getting a drink and just enjoy chatting with others and not eating. I ended up eating egg salad, tuna salad(had sweet pickles in it) salad, and strawberries and blueberries. It wasn't that what I ate was all that bad. Its just that it wasn't in my plan today so I ended up eating tortilla chips when we went out for dinner tonight because i had already gotten off track in my mind. After the chips, then it just made me crazy in the head and I ended up eating vanilla wafers, peanut butter, and milk. I have GOT to get it together!! I feel like all of my hard work just goes down the tubes because I do this too often. I end up just maintaining, which is better than gaining, but I really want to reach my goals.
