Happy Wednesday y'all!

Only 2 more weeks left in the work/school week and then the weekend!

Today was arm day at the gym. Felt a lot better than the last time and not as far down in weights as I thought I was going to be. Actually did 155 lbs on bench a decent number of times.

Tomorrow I plan on running a 5K training run. Up til now, my longest run has been 2.1 miles, so this is adding 1 more mile on top of it. Not too much but will signify a big accomplishment for me. I was training for a marathon 3 years ago, and up to 7-9 miles a day. Took a "small" break of 4 days to rest a sore knee...and that 4 days turned into 4 weeks, into 4 months, and so on...and into 35+ pounds. So getting back up to a 5K will be the most I've ran since those 3 years ago.

My goal is to finish in around 30 minutes, but time will not matter to me.

Food today:

B: Bacon ends and pieces and an egg
L: Leftover chicken thigh
S: Protein shake (Rocky road powder, PB, almond milk, HWC) after lifting
D: My own recipe of Chicken in a Spicy Cream Sauce

Hope all is well with everyone!

Weighed in this morning...down to 193.6. That's over 40 pounds since the beginning of the summer and over 35 since low carb! So happy! 23.6 away from my goal and then reassessment!

Happy Monday!

Made a great meal today: Pork Carnitas in the crock pot and then oven. Awesome and will have for lunch for days this week as well!

Perhaps I'll weigh in some time in the next couple days, but we'll see. I threw in a weekend of semi-plan eating. I had a couple of beers each day, but that is the one exception I make. Also ate too many calories and nuts and cheese, but I was up north for hunting so I planned that in also. Still got a run in on Friday and Saturday, though. And duck hunting takes a lot of energy carrying canoes and everything that goes with it. Back on the plan today.

Made it 2.5 miles (4K) for my run today and averaged about a 9:40 pace. Working my way up, less than 2 weeks til my first 6K trail race, and hope to sign up for a few more races in October!

Have a good one everyone!

Still going strong!

B: Bacon and eggs
L: Leftover carnita pork with sour cream
D: Burger, swiss, mayo, brussels sprouts with butter, and a pickle spear

Workout today: 5K run for training. Finished at 30:11, so sooooo close to finishing in under 30 minutes, but this gives me a lot of confidence going into my first 6K trail race next Saturday. Going to do a training run on trails this weekend as kind of a warm-up for the 6K, might even go farther than 6K just to get ready!

Tomorrow is leg day, so probably won't run or if I do I will just do a mile or so slowly.

Hope all is well with everyone!
