Evening, all! Hope everyone had a good Tuesday

I finally got to play golf for the first time since last August! It was great, except for the front nine score, which was one of my worst ever, but i pulled it together on the back nine to shoot a 42, which isn't a bad nine hole score for not playing in forever. I decided to walk the course, and realized I had way too many golf balls in my bag. It was incredibly heavy, and I was dying by the 18th hole. But it was a great workout. Added to that the 90 degree humidity in NC, and that is one good day's work.

Food today:

B: One really thick piece of bacon (like I don't know how they cut this one), and two eggs in bacon fat and butter

L: Baconator only cheese and bacon. Needed something salty after that round of golf.

S: 1 cup beef broth with 1/2 tbsp butter for recovery after the golf

D: 1 Les Salades du Midi from Trader Joe's salad (lettuce, raddichio, carrot shreds) with shredded parm, and Greek Feta dressing, two celery sticks with homemade dill dip, and 1.2 turkey burgers topped with swiss slices (I made two thinking I'd be hungry, but the other part is now in the fridge.)

Have a good one everyone!

Hey all!

B: Protein shake on the go (2 tbsp Trader Joe's PB, 1 cup Almond Milk, 1 scoop Optimum Nutrition Rocky Road)

L: Burger with slice of swiss

D: 8 oz ribeye medium rare with steamed broccoli and a salad with the biggest pool of bleu cheese dressing I've ever seen (didn't eat much of the salad because of this). It was at a nice restaurant for a meeting for work.

S: 2.6 oz chicken, 1 oz cheddar cheese, and a celery with my dip

Happy Thursday!

Food Today:

B: 2 bacon, 2 eggs fried in bacon grease, cup of coffee

L: Five Guys Bunless double bacon burger with lettuce, ketchup, mayo

D: 7.5 oz cold chicken, broccoli and cauliflower sauteed in OO and soy sauce

Snack: 1 celery with dill dip, 1 protein shake (to try out xanthan gum) with 1 scoop optimum nutrition gold standard rocky road, 2 tbsp HWC, 2 tbsp trader joe's PB, 1 cup almond milk, and xanthan gum to thicken.

And I weighed today and reached 212.4! That's another 1.8 pounds from Saturday, which is doing pretty good! 2 days to One month since I started keeping track of my weights almost daily, and I have lost 9 pounds since July 3rd! Ten pounds in one month would be great, so hopefully I make it there! Only 1 pound to go!

Have a good one!

Happy Friday! Thew weekend is upon us!

Played 27 holes of golf today, shot a 49/44/44, the real 18 holes was the 44/44 after warming up with the 49. So that is 10 shots better than Tuesday, which is good!

B: 3 eggs in butter, 3 bacon, coffee

L/D: Can of tuna with 2 tbsp mayo, seasonings, dill dip with celery, string cheese, some more dinner later perhaps

Have a good one!

B: Microwave eggs with 2 strips bacon, coffee

L: 10 Zaxby's Tongue Torch Traditional wings (probably higher carb than wanted) with small amount of ranch and celery

D: Chili's bunless chicken bacon swiss sandwich with avocado and lettuce + mayo and tomato, 1/3 of a side salad with avocado, and avocado ranch dressing

S: Coffee with 1/2 tbsp CO, 1 tbsp HWC and some pork cracklins.

Hopefully this week doesn't set me back at all!

Workout: Arm lifts on hotel weight machine.

Weighed in this morning, first time in a week, and would you believe it that I had my best week eating at restaurants? Down to 207 pounds, that's 4.2 down since last Sunday and closing in on under 200! So happy

Sorry for the enthusiastic post earlier today, I thought that another week on the road for work would have cost me any losses. But, alas, I dropped down to 207, a weight I have not seen for a while. Getting ever so close to the 200 mark, which would be amazing.

Today was measurement and picture day as well for me. While I will hold off on posting any pics til I hit my goal, the measurements were more successes:

Waist: Down to 39", a drop of 1.75 inches in 3 weeks
Hips: Remained the same
Chest: Remained the same
R/L Thigh: .5" gone on each

That makes me feel so good that this WOL is working. I am so close to a NSV of dropping my BMI below the obese category (at 30.3 now), and am so glad to be below 40" waist. Thanks to everyone who has helped me here so far!

On to today:

No breakfast, slept late.

Lunch: Beef patty with swiss, small salad with ranch

Mid-Day meal: Deep-fried pork chop "breaded" with parmesan cheese, ground black pepper, and egg wash

Dinner: Turkey burger with cheddar, sauteed brussels sprouts.

S: a couple slices of bacon in there as well.

Water, some coffee, and one coffee with 2 tbsp HWC!

Have a good week everyone, and keep working hard at this, because it really works!

Happy Monday y'all!

Food today:

Skip Breakfast

L: Chipotle Burrito Bowl: Carnitas, Pico de Gallo, Lettuce, Cheese, Sour Cream

S: Shake: 1 scoop Optimum Nutrition Rocky Road, 2 tbsp Trader Joe's natty PB, 2 tbsp HWC, 1 tbsp Coconut Oil, 1 cup Unsweet Almond Milk, 1 pinch ground coffee

D: Hamburger patty topped with a fried egg, and some veggie I will choose at the time of cooking

I am staying at home this week and do not have to stay in a hotel for work. I am still on the road for lunch, but that is better than all the meals.

Hope everyone is having a great week! Just 7 more pounds to hit 200, and then 7.1 to hit 199.9. Almost there!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

How's everyone doing? Hope you are all staying on plan!

Breakfast: McDonald's Coffee (drank only 1/2 of it cause I found...) A Starbucks iced americano (I could have iced americanos black all day!)

Lunch: McDonald's BLT Quarter Pounder, no bun, with lettuce, mayo, mustard, bacon, pickles. And a plain McDouble no bun

Dinner: 6 oz deep fried seasoned pork chops (first time deep-frying pork chops plain, and they were amazing!), sauteed brussels sprouts in bacon grease with salt and pepper

S: Protein shake: Optimum Nutrition Vanilla Ice Cream, 2 tbsp HWC, 1 tbsp Coconut Oil (which always hardens so I just eat plain cause it is delicious plain), 1 cup Almond Milk, pinch Xanthan gum. And a leftover strip of bacon.

Other than the fact I drank way too much coffee today (be it all black, but I was feeling it after my Dunkin Donuts Double Espresso shot poured over ice and water, kind of a homemade Americano in my car), it was another great day! But coffee doesn't stall me so it is great. And my motto is you can never drink too much coffee!

Have a good one!

Happy Monday y'all (I know its late but early at the same time)

One week of school down. Third year of vet school seems like it is gonna be a great year!

Didn't journal my food this week but have now been on plan for 2 1/2 months. It feels great! I made baked chicken thighs with skin on, grilled burgers, made side pork, had some salads, and tonight I grilled bratwurst (and I actually found some with no sugar or HFCS, a great accomplishment). I plan on weighing in tomorrow morning for the first time in a long time.

A Non-scale victory for me has been a number of my classmates telling me I'm "wasting away" or that I lost weight over the summer. I didn't think it was that big of a change but I guess it is and I can't be happier.

Hope all is well!

199.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Under 200 for the first time in years! So so so so happy. This was weighing in at night after dinner and water and everything, so my normal weigh in time would have probably been less!!!

Reincorporating weight lifting back into my plan. Hopefully M-Tu-Th-F for the weights. Arm Leg Arm Leg. Can't wait to get back at it tomorrow! More than 1/2 way to my goal now!

Been lacking on the journal here for a while, but still going strong!

Haven't weighed since the 199.4, so hopefully still below the magical 200!

Started new workouts this week, including 3 days-a-week lifting and 3 days-a-week light running. Going well so far, sore but happy!

Some of the foods I have made this week:
Costco Bratwurst on the grill (only brats I could find w/o sugar/HFCS)
New York Strip and Ribeye grilled rare-medium rare
Baked chicken thighs
Baked chicken legs
Side Pork
Bacon

I eat leftovers most meals. I did sneak a small amount of potatoes and 1 Hershey's kiss, but didn't see any cravings or anything after so I think I kept it to a bare minimum!

Got my dehydrator this week so looking forward to some Jerky with the last venison roast in the freezer! And still enjoying all my coffee! Now that I am back in Madison, WI, there are so many espresso joints to choose from. True Coffee Roasters is my new favorite, but am still partial to Caribou when I want something easy!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Just took a waist measurement: 36.5" and it was hard to keep the tape measure there. I probably didn't pull it firm at all either so it could be smaller. That is down from 43" at the beginning, June 24th. almost 7 inches in less than 3 months. That is awesome!
