I know the scale bounces on JUDDD, so don't worry. Whoosh fairy must be near by.

Down .8, so I'm at 212.0. Ugh. I have been bouncing around the 212's for a bit now and I'm ready to move down!

Monica-I got the recipe from another website. I will pm you!

So good to find this journal and see that you are still JUDDDing, I've missed you over on the JUDDD boards.

Hope you feel well again soon.

Cindy-thanks I haven't been posting there because half the time my menu is all over the place. lol

Monica-enjoy! let me know if you try it!

Still feeling rather blah. Trying to shake it but it is being persistent. In other news, I was down .4 this morning, putting me at 211.6! That's 10 pounds gone (as long as it stays there and doesn't go back up!) Going to give it a few days and if my weight continues to go down without creeping back into the 212's, I will call and make my spa appointment! My next 10 pound reward will either be a thrift store shopping spree (most likely) or a yarn splurge.

Yesterday was a true DD. I wasn't feeling all that great to begin with and just didn't want to be bothered. I had:

two grain free brownies
a hard boiled egg that I deviled with just a bit of mayo and mustard
some broccoli
a small handfull of root vegetable chips
lots of ice tea

Not sure what I'm eating today. I think we may going out to eat tonight to a hibachi place. If that is the case I will be eating lots of shrimp, scallops, and vegetables. I did have a grain free blueberry muffin for breakfast with a bit of butter. Not sure if I'll have anything else before supper or not.

Jenn- sorry you are still under the weather

Nice on the scale drop

It is nice that you give yourself reward after significant scale drop. I think I need to do something like this as well.

Your DD menus looks very healthy and yummy.

Take care!

Back up to 212.0. Ugh. I think I didn't eat enough yesterday, but that's my own fault. It was supposed to be an UD, but all I had was:

a grain free blueberry muffin with a little butter
a yogurt
a baked potato (huge) with butter and cheese
a grain free brownie
a ginger ale
lots of ice tea

Today is a DD. Not sure what all will be going in my mouth today. Not feeling all that great and it's rainy. Good day to just sit around, read, and knit!

212.4 this morning. But, I overdid yesterday. I was trying an experiment, but it didn't work and that's okay. Yesterday ended up being more of an UD or a MD, so I am just going to take it easy and make today a DD. Shouldn't be too hard as I don't feel well at all!

On the plan for today...

ice tea
hard boiled egg

Make sure you get enough calories in on Up Days. That is just as important as low dd's!

Jenn, sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. I hope this week is better for you. Maybe your body needed more calories yeasterday for healing to take place? just a thought...

Marika-I'd like to think that, but no! I'm having bathroom issues!

Monica-I had to lower my suggested calories from the JUDDDD website as I wasn't losing at all, but rather gaining quite a bit. I do eat well on UD's though

Feeling much better today! I ate red meat on Sunday and I really think that's what caused me to feel so icky yesterday.

Whew! I've had some definite up and down eating lately. I'm going to start with Saturday. Saturday was an UD and it wasn't that good. I really don't think I ate enough, but I ate enough that it really couldn't be considered a DD, nor do I think it could really be classified a MD.

Sunday I showed a gain. Now technically Sunday was a DD. I did great all day and then for some unfathomable reason, decided to have steak for supper. Ate the whole thing. With some bleu cheese dressing. Because steak without bleu cheese dressing is pretty boring. So way over on DD calories just from that one meal. Plus, it was way higher in calories than what I ate the day before. So of course...

Monday showed a gain. As you may recall, I was feeling pretty yucky yesterday. I did, thankfully, have a movement (TIM) Monday morning, but felt poorly the rest of the day. Perfect, I thought, for getting back on track with a DD. Well, FIL wanted to take everyone out to supper. At Outback. I tried to beg off, but was prodded until I said okay.

I ended up having a salad, baked potato, and grilled salmon (which was delicious btw!). I'm going to take a guess and say the meal was 800-900 calories. And I woke up to a .8 loss! A loss! 211.6!!!

So, now I'm wondering if I should up my DD calories as I typically try to fast or just eat one little thing. I think I may have mentioned that before. Just haven't gotten around to putting it into practice.

Jenn, glad that you found the culprit- beef. Maybe your body does not digest it too well. I myself eat beef very rarely, as I feel it sits in my stomach like a stone for days. I can eat lamb with no issues.

I think you need to experiment with the DD. Some people do great fasting all day, some eat mini meals, etc.. I hope you can figure it out.

Have a great day ahead!

Thanks, Marika!

I had given meat up completely, but for some reason the steak I had cooked looked good, so I ate it. It didn't taste all that great though (hence the dressing!)

Now I know...no more red meat! The salmon I ate last night did not bother me at all

I've done pretty well today for a DD. I've had two whole deviled eggs (four halves) with just a bit of mayo and mustard. That was way earlier today too and I've not been hungry. The only other thing I've had is some whipped egg whites. lol

I'm getting a bit munchie now though, and may have a baked potato.

It must be a fluke...I woke up to a 1 pound loss this morning...210.6! I couldn't believe it and I doubt it will stay there, but it's nice while it lasts!

Leaving today for a mini vacation. I will be back later tonight to post my food for today's UD.

Stopped at McDonald's for lunch. Ugh. Had a fruit and yogurt parfait minus the granola and the fries and apples from DD's happy meal. Also had a few sips of Sprite.

So stuffed. Went to Cracker Barrel for supper. I had the grilled rainbow treat (which is delicious!), a salad, a baked potato with butter, some blackberries, and even a biscuit (which was okay). And a sprite. I didn't even want my grain free cupcake that I made to celebrate little man's birthday!

No scale, so I won't weigh until Friday. Going to do my best to keep on track with a DD tomorrow, but I have a feeling it will be a MD.

Hey, Jenn! Just checking in on you.

Sounds to me like 212 was an old setpoint from sometime in your past. My body fights me with everything it's got when I get to those. But the good news is that when you get through them, the losses seem to start again.

I was up today. 2.2 lbs. I expected it and I'm not too upset about it. I suspect most of it is water from eating things I don't normally eat. Back on the straight and narrow today, so we will see how it goes!

Doing really great today. Have had some grapes and a very small baked potato with butter and cheese. Going out for supper, so I'm saving my calories for then. I know tomorrow will be an awesome DD as youngest DS and I have a 3 hour Popcorn Show and Sell so I will be out of the house

I don't know what a Popcorn Show and Sell is, but it sounds like something I'd really like to know about!

(On the other hand, a lady at my book club luncheon was telling me today about having to have gum surgery because she had a popcorn hull stuck way up into one of her gums! Yikes!)
