Lunch was a salmon (not sure how big the filet was...forgot to look at the weight before I threw the package away) pan fried in a bit of butter. I seasoned it with lemon pepper and then, when it was done, topped it with some dill butter. Delicious!

Supper was some mashed potatoes and some salad. Quite good.

Trying to decide if I want a "Milkshake" or not

I ended up having a 'milkshake" and it was delicious!

Woke up to a loss 213.4. I'll take it!

Today is a DD and so far I'm not hungry. I'm making marinated pork chops tonight for the family and I may have one (or at least part of one). They used to be such a favorite and I want to see if they still taste good or not.

I've found that I can tolerate some specific cuts of pork and chicken (though I prefer pork). I have absolutely no interest in red meat at all. Quite a change for me!

Ugh! I ate too much supper. Feeling icky and bloated.

Hope I don't see a gain tomorrow, but if I do it's my own fault!

Woke up to a loss of 0.6! That puts me at 212.8. Onederland is getting closer and closer and I can't wait to see it. It's been a long, long time since I was there.

UD today...

I'm thinking:

b-scrambled eggs with goat milk brie
l-not sure
s-ahi tuna with a salad

snack (if needed)-chocolate "milkshake" (I always put that in quotes because it's made with almond milk and not a true milkshake. but it sure tastes like one!)

Ugh...I had some fried oysters for lunch. They were quite delicious, but now I'm feeling full and icky.

I'll probably bypass supper now or just have a salad.

Hi Jessica! Thanks for stopping by! My food choices are limited, so I try and make them tasty.

I had a gain today. I can't say I'm surprised for two reasons. One, the oysters of course, as they were fried they were coated in flour. Two, probably tmi, but I haven't moved my bowels in a few days. Such is life!

I just realized that I haven't put any stats in my journal. I'm thinking I should go ahead and do that.

Name: Jenn
Height-5'1
Starting weight-221.5
Age-41

I also have four kids who keep me pretty busy!

Today is a DD. Probably a good thing as I'm going to be too busy getting ready for vacation to eat much. lol!

On the menu--ice tea. Probably a baked potato somewhere.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my journal. I should think the gain is probably because of, er....reason "#2." Haha! A little bit of tincture of time will cure that, sooner or later!

From my experience with JUDDD, I definitely had a few random gains here and there that would disappear in a day or two. i think that's the nature of up and down calories. So no worries, right?

Are you a handbell player? I'm a church musician, and handbells are part of my world. I went into greater detail in my reply to you on my journal.

Have a great Saturday!

Jessica-I think you're right! I did play handbells, but I recently changed churches and the one I attend now doesn't have them.

Marika-Hi! Thanks for stopping by Grain free is not as difficult as I thought it would be. I think the biggest problem is soy because it's in everything.

So far, so good today. I am getting hungry but I think it's because I've been outside all day cleaning out my mess of a van. But it's clean now! Trying to figure out food now.

I really enjoy being grain-free. It is so true about soy being in everything(among other things, like corn), that's why I cook everything from scratch

I love it! I sometimes overdo it on "treats" I make with almond flour, but I'm trying to cut down on them. I am going to be making some crackers and brownies to take with me on vacation though!

Yeah, I have to watch on almond goodies as well. As long as I make them savory, I can control myself There is this great almond thins recipe here on the forum to die for. I don't make it too often because they are too delicious. Even my grain eating friends love them.

Yesterday was a MD. I had forgotten that I had wanted to do that anyway so that my rotation would be UD's MWF this week while on vacation as we are planning to go out Wednesday for frozen custard.

I'm also planning on having a peanut butter chocolate chip cupcake (grain free and *amazing*) on Tuesday when we have our "birthday party". Other than those planned events I plan to stay on plan as most as possible. To that end, today I made:

grain free crackers
the above mentioned cupcakes
grain free brownies
pimento cheese to go with the crackers
hard boiled eggs
grain free crab cakes

I will also be bringing:

mozzarella balls
hummus (mostly for my mom, but I'll probably have some. DH made it)
vegetables
fruit
tea bags to make iced tea

So, there should be plenty for me to eat and not make excuses!

On the weight front...I didn't weigh this morning because I'm still having "issues!" If they resolve themselves by tomorrow then I will weigh, but I won't if they don't! lol! And then TOM is coming to visit, so I probably won't weigh then either!

Had a fantastic vacation! Was so nice to not do anything The only bad thing was TOM showed up. Ick! But it was okay.

The "birthday party" was fun! Kids had a great time. When we had our backwards dinner, I did end up eating a hamburger. Boy did I feel it afterwards. It didn't even taste that great.

In other news, when I weighed today I was only up .8 (213.6). Considering everything I have eaten on vacation (I watched, but enjoyed too) and TOM showing up, I don't think that's too bad!

I have a baby shower this afternoon. Will have to be careful there. Not sure what will be served.

Off to the bank and the store for a shower gift. *yawn* want to go back to doing nothing! lol!

Glad to hear you had fantastic vacation. That's wonderful that you did not gain much and still enjoyed your foods (well, except for the burger).

Have a great week ahead!

Thanks, Marika!

I am up again this morning. Not sure if it's because my indiscretions over the past week are catching up or what. Going to be extra diligent about food choices today!

Off to church

Hi Monica!

I could have done a little bit better on vacation, but I didn't do to badly! Yep, back to my rotations. Yesterday was a DD and I am back to 212.6. Yea! Looking forward to my spa trip once those two pesky pounds go away!

Trying to decide if I want a waffle for breakfast. I have a recipe for a grain free waffle (which I'm dying to try), but I don't have all the ingredients. I do have some frozen gluten free waffles, but they have rice flour. Hrm....I think I will have one anyway. Mostly because I want butter and syrup. lol!

When I thought about it, yesterday was more of an UD, which is good because today certainly turned out to be a DD. For some reason I'm feeling poorly today. So far I've had:

1/2 fage with strawberries (I made the waffle first, had one bite, declared it disgusting, and threw it away)

a small piece of grain free "cornbread" (it was okay. not sure I'll make again)

iced tea

That's it. Just haven't been hungry.

Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow as I plan on making some grain free blueberry muffins and really want to try them out! I'm also thinking of making some mini peanut butter chocolate swirl cheesecakes for sweet treats now and then.

Thanks, Monica!

Still feeling poorly today. Think I will make the blueberry muffins anyway and try to eat one. Will definitely have creamed spinach and browned potatoes at supper. Other than that, I'm not entirely sure.

Weighed in at 212.4 for a loss of .2. I try to fast on DD's but I'm wondering if I should try eating more? Think I will pose this question on the JUDDDD board.

Well, today was an UD. I'm hoping to see a loss tomorrow, but we'll see. I definitely ate today! lol!

b-nothing
l-BBQ shrimp stuffed with gouda and wrapped with bacon (I didn't eat the bacon), grilled zucchini and carrots, and french fries
s-creamed spinach and a baked potato with butter

snack-grain free blueberry muffin
snack-Hershey bar

I am bouncing

Was 212.6 this morning. I was briefly 211.8, but it didn't stick (this morning). Must have weighed one too many times. lol!

So, DD today. Not sure what I'm going to be eating, but I have decided I will eat something instead of fasting. I seem to do better if I eat., though currently I am not hungry.

I have a PTA board meeting this evening for my oldest two kids middle school. It's going to be potluck. After finding out what everyone is bringing, I have decided to bring some deviled eggs and a grain free chocolate cake so that there will be something I can eat. lol. The other offerings are:

Ham biscuits
Pasta salad
Mexican salad
Salad with grilled chicken (I may eat some of this w/o chicken depending on the salad. Not sure if it's going to be lettuce or pasta or what)
Blueberry pastry thing

Still feeling a bit poorly. Hope it goes away soon.

Jenn - I hope you get to feeling better. I can't fast on DD's either. I tend to eat more than most on DD's . I go with around 600c

Thanks, Monica. Still feeling a bit poorly, but a little better.

Well, I was up again this morning. *sigh* 212.8

I really hope my body is preparing for a small woosh. I say small because I don't lose weight quickly. But I don't want to be stuck at 212!

Anyway, on to today...

I had a mini peanut butter chocolate swirl cheesecake

Supper will be salad with bleu cheese and some Parmesan potatoes.

I need to put something in there to eat for lunch, I'm just not sure what it's going to be. I'm not really in the mood for anything. Perhaps I will hard boil an egg and make deviled eggs or some egg salad to eat with grain free crackers.

It's quite hot out today. I think I may make a chocolate "milkshake" later. We'll see.
