I refuse to start 2014 with a weight loss resolution

Every year since I was about 14 years old, my New Years Resolution has been to lose weight. Sometimes I get some off, but it'd all be back before the next year.

Not this year.
Not 2014.

I've already lost 30 pounds. Sometimes, I have to look at pictures of myself now and before to believe it, especially with all the set back I've had.

I still need to lose 53 pounds to reach my goal by the end of the year.

Welcome! I was just browsing through journals to see if any caught my eye. I follow a few girls regularly but they haven't been on as much and it gets lonely. Anyway im with you on refusing to start the year with a weight loss resolution and i too have lost 30 lbs this year! since march!!! Look at you, so close to onederland!!! i cant wait for onederland, im hoping i'll reach that by first weekend in September

my goal by the end of the year is another 42 lbs and then by march (my birthday month and a year since i started) another 25...

it doesn't look like we're following the same plan but doesn't mean we cant support each other!

I feel like I can almost taste Onederland! I'm hoping to see it by the end of the week...or next week at the latest. All I've had to eat today is bacon...and I'm feeling awesome. I went to my gym on my lunch break and hit the weight circuit hard. Monday I was at 205 and today 202.6 ....

It's amazing what 30 lbs does clotheswise...I can comfortably wear jeans that I couldn't button before...On days I get discouraged, I try to remember that I've made part of the journey already! No turning back now. So congrats on your 30! You'll see Onderland soon too!

30 lbs is a HUGE loss!! You wouldnt think it, especially if you start out with like 75-100 to lose, but it really makes a BIG difference! Heres to our next 30 and seeing it in 3-4 months!!

I'm so glad you all are joining me on my journey. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested!

Today I'm tired, sore (from the gym,ow), and hungry. It's a bad combination. I'm gonna try to find a healthy-ish lunch somewhere, since I didn't pack one, or eat breakfast. French fries are calling me name, but I will resist. I always get carb hungry when I'm feeling sluggish...

The scale hasn't budged...202.6 still. However, I wore a dress today for the first time in about 4 years! I've gotten so many compliments! Maybe I should buy more dresses.

My boyfriend and I are going to be selling vegetables from his farm at the local Farmer's Market this weekend. I probably won't be on again until Monday! Have a good weekend!

Looking good. (My bathroom looks EXACTLY like that--hair tools, makeup, jewelry all over every surface. Hey, a lot of HARD WORK happens there, right? )

Well, Saturday at the Farmer's Market, we were right next to a lady selling homemade cookies. The smell alone was torture, but then she brought some to us. I was going to take one bite to be polite...It was literally the best cookie I have ever eaten in my life! I had several...yikes...but at least if I was going to cheat, it was the best cookies EVER!

Anyway, too many cookies and maybe too much breaded fried food and the scale is back to 203.8 this morning. So I'm up 1.2 lbs...I always seem to bounce up a little on weekends because I'm not as strict...but I'm back today. Bacon for breakfast again!

Lexi: Thanks! I love myself as a redhead, but this time it was a little darker than I thought it was going to be!

Verb: I think my boyfriend is a little confused about how I can be such a neat freak about everything EXCEPT my bathroom counter!

Well, this morning I'm up another .2 lbs...I ate really well yesterday, I had a few vegetables, but was probably still under 40 carbs...It may still just be bounce from the weekend...

I went to donate plasma yesterday (I'm a poor kid and it's good for some easy extra dough!)...They turned me away because the last blood sample they took came back with my blood protein levels too high. Supposedly, Ketosis or a high protein diet won't cause this, but I'm not sure what else it could be...Before I always had an ear infection or something when they came back out of whack. I have to go give a sample today, then wait a week for them to clear me or not.

On the good side of life, I purchased a Sam's Club Membership, which is exciting...I'm now buying cheese, bacon, sour cream, butter, among other things in bulk. Also, I only have two work days left this week. I need the break!

202.8!!! Back down from the weekend finally!

I ate a ton of food yesterday, but it was all low carb. My mom made chicken spaghetti with spaghetti squash that my granny grew in her garden. She had to cook the hell out of it to make it not crunchy, but it was good.

I went to the gym during my lunch break at work, but I didn't get much done. I'm just lacking in energy. I did drink a ton of water. My boyfriend is coming in to town tonight (He lives an hour away) and he says we're going to do some serious exercise tomorrow...Oh goody! It'll be good for me though.
(Did I mention both my mom and boyfriend are low carbers too? I'd have a lot of trouble staying on track without them!)
Today I'm gonna kinda take it easy and eat on plan. It's my last day of work for the week, and I have a ton of paperworky things to do.

I've been embarrassed to check in,but I'm back to 202.8 this morning...I ate about half a loaf or more of homemade bread on Saturday...It was so good...but it made me so so so sick! So sick I wonder if I haven't developed a gluten sensitivity.

I've got some family issues going on, and the whole thing is stressing me out and threatening to derail me....I'm gonna try to stick with it, but I'm overly worn out and stressed. Oh well, here's to trucking on.

Don't be embarrassed, i think a big part of weight loss is accountability. Don't lie to yourself and no matter what you do as long as you keep trying you'll never fail.

Well, it's been a while since I checked in here. Life has been crazy...good and bad...I was off plan for a few days completely...then I got back on plan, except for the watermelons which I have been eating like crazy. Good news though! I hadn't stepped on the scale since the last time I posted here, and today it's at....201.4! It's teasing me with being so close to ONEderland...
