I need to break down and get tickets she is coming to Philly in April!

So plugging along, being strict and not weighing!!! Made a chicken and arugula salad for lunch today. Tried working out at home with Tony's weight bench, didnt go so well, his bench is really old its a giant PIA switching the weights, I was not feeling it, so I need to get my butt to the gym at 5 without fail and some of these cold mornings it has become a fail! So need to work on that. I need to start running again, I keep saying it and doing nothing, so that is going to happen by Monday I need at least 3 runs this week!

Other than that, not much going on!

Amber, you are sticking to the low carb WOE and doing great though. Just sticking to the right eating will also get the weight off so don't get discouraged!

Morning, Amber! I agree w/ Gail -- you're sticking to your eating plan, and I think that has way more impact on your weight loss success. The exercise is great, but is an added bonus, in my opinion. Stick to your existing good habits -- you've totally got this!!!

Great on the eating plan! Chicken and salad...my favorite! Re: the bench, if you have handheld weights (like 5lb or so) you can use the bench to do all kinds of things while on your back, like the bench press or the butterfly press. While it's not ultra heavy, it will def help sculpt and burn some calories...and make you feel like you didn't fail.

Aww I saw the post on fb about the workout area. Tony sure gets an A for effort. Poor guy was so excited to show you and then it wasn't what you had thought it would be. Keep chugging along, you are doing better than me. I can't get motivated to workout yet. Eating is good though.

I agree you can do a lot with free weights, the problem is we have more work to do down there, and we are looking for workout equipment on Craigns list and we will get it together for sure!!! I have been slacking about the gym, I need to get up and go! I want to run and I still have not done that, I am super tired and unmotivated lately! That has got to change, I swear I dont know what my problem is.

Having fish tonight, I pulled out some swai fish, I like that in the oven with some parmesan cheese on it.

OMG I am so mad I down only .2 pounds and I was so careful this week, but to my own fault I only worked out like 3 times, I need to get my butt to the gym and start running, next week must do better, trying to keep it together over the weekend and not eat because I am mad! My Nan is coming Sunday to stay for the week, excited about that she is doing so well!!! My little carb queen how that woman is 92 and eats nothing but sugar! LOL I have to remember to buy all the crap we never have here for her! LOL
Having Tony's old boss and wife over making all healthy stuff and LC, will add some rice for them and a dessert that I dont have to eat! We are having a squash soup, kale salad, moroccan salmon, wild rice with apricots and apple crisp!

I agree that your planned menu sounds delicious!

WTG on the workouts you DID get in (I haven't done jack this week), and keep your head up. You're making good choices on a regular basis, and you will be rewarded soon.

I would love to have all my LC girls over for dinner I love to entertain, the hardest part about these dinner parties isn't the cooking, it is having the kids (Tony) clean up the crap so the house looks nice, LOL I love dishes, linens, etc, tonight I will break out the good china and I have a beautiful autumn leaves placemats and cloth napkins, my dining room is my favorite room here so I love that we can sit there and have a nice dinner party now! I am making an autumn martini, with vodka, apple cider, gingerale and peach schnapps for the guests. It is Tony's old boss that he worked for for almost 30 years, they came to our wedding in Vegas, very sweet couple, their beach house was totally destroyed when Sandy went through. He is in his 70's and is totally rebuilding it himself. She is in her 70's and goes on 3 week horseback riding trips camping, she is amazing! I am looking forward to seeing them!

So fun! I'm like you. I love to entertain, but getting the house ready can be a challenge. Andrew doesn't always see The ProblemAreas! But he always does the floors, which I hate, so i really can't complain there.
So many people lost so much in Sandy. I grew up on Long Island, and the town I grew up in, Freeport, was pretty devastated. So it's great to hear about people who are rebuilding. Have a lovely evening!

The dinner was really good, Ina's squash apple soup was delish, I was really worried because it was overwhelming curry but they were late and it simmered a long time and got thicker and was just perfect! The cider really mellowed the curry! The basmati rice was good too I ate a little dried apricots, fresh mint toasted pistachios, and the apple crisp was nice, I ate some, I am not weighing til Friday! The brought us the nicest gift this huge jug of olive oil, they said a place opened near them that has all these imported oils and we can take the container back to be filled. Dick is 77, they had their shore house and boat 37 years, never had flood insurance, as they never had an issue with flooding, so the house was ruined, it was a month before they could even go look at it with all the gas lines and utilities out. He worked every weekend himself for a year and it is finally ready to live in again, and he got a new boat, he is amazing! But a 750,000 house and he rebuilt it for less than 100,000 and he figured it was cheaper than if he paid flood insurance all that time, his wife said that being there is not the same though with all the houses that people couldn't rebuild. She said now they go and focus on the ocean and try not to reflect on the devastation around them, it was near Sea Side Heights, NJ.
So Tony is fasting we need more life insurance on him for me to keep this house so they are coming here this morning to draw blood, LOL My cousin is coming for Robert to help her with the ipod she got for her daughter, and then the big Eagles game! Then my Nan is coming for a week, busy weekend!

Going to be chugging water today!
