Hi Amber,

I'm so glad Nan and Robert are doing well! How sweet is your hubby!?! <3

As for the parties, the important part is that you've been going to the gym and making great choices and adhering to your plan, otherwise. CONGRATS on the weight loss!!

Have fun at the conference

I am going out of town to life insurance training for 3 days, they have a gym at the hotel so I can work out, lunch is provided and might be sketchy so going to eat a big egg breakfast every morning, and be strict!

I made the best roasted cauliflower today event he kids loved it, I took maybe 1/4 cup of cashew butter, 1/4 of olive oil salt pepper and chili powder coated it all and roasted at 400 for almost an hour, it was so good, made that and london broil! Worked outside in the hard planting so that was my exercise!!!! I hung this fall garland on the door with one of those command hooks, well it ripped off all the paint that Tony just painted, whoops!! He was not too happy! Eagles lost to Dallas, ughghg now will have to listen to that!

Hope all is well!!!

Thanks girls I am really going to focus while I am away I would like to see a few weeks of losses instead of gaining and losing the same freaking weight ughh it is so tiresome. I am glad I got right back on track it is so easy to just keep on eating. One thing I love is all the new chopped salads in the store it makes it easy to pack lunch.. KT spinach in my smoothie sounds yucky but I will try it just for you.

It is pretty tasteless, really!

I need to run out to get more frozen spinach; it is the only way to go with the stuff. Since I have gone paleo, I have to make my own salad dressing, that never happens, so smoothies are easier.

Gazpacho is really good for you so that was a great choice. Have a great trip and hope you see some lovely fall scenery if you are not working the entire time. The week will go by quickly for you. Friday will be here before you know it!

By the way I meant to tell you that you look super skinny from your recent Facebook photos. You can totally tell you lost a bunch of weight and you look fabulous!

My son loves the HOT AND SPICEY, the hotter, the better. He's borderline crazy when it comes to "how" hot.

One thing about it, we know it can jack the metabolism!

Have fun on your trip.

I am in my hotel I met a GF from college last night, it dawned on me that we met 27 years ago OMG I am getting old!!! Lunch was of course carby junk I was starving so got a big steak for dinner, went out for breakfast this morning and ate eggs and meat only, of course they bring a pile of potatoes, thankfully they dont tempt me so I could scrape them away!

Gail the picture of Nan with me was 2 years ago at her 90th that was when I was close to my lowest, I am fatter now! LOL I can feel it everywhere, I did go to the gym here well it was a treadmill, that was the gym but did 40 minutes on that, so at least its something!

Good morning, Amber!

Sounds like you're doing great so far with your losses & consistent exercise...proud of ya.

Building a home gym sounds like a wonderful idea...that will be such a help to you.

SO I set my alarm for 6 go running out to get breakfast and then come back and pack and shower, and I get in my car and it is 5:15! I guess the clock was not right and I didnt even notice it, LOL I am glad I didnt call Tony at 5:15, LOL

Trying to survive 1 more day, man 3 days of life insurance will make your head spin! It's so long and me and my ADD, I feel confined! But the peeps are nice so that is good, another carb fest for lunch, I am sure today will be no better, but I did find some almonds and a kind bar I have for when I am ready to eat my arm, but I do love the container of Starbucks at my table, LOL I swear 40 people and like 2 of us drink coffee, I find that surprising, but I am such a coffee head I think everyone should be! LOL

Ready to get home to my boys! I went to the casino last night, so the first machine I did 2 spins and hit $75 but then I kept playing and watched the horses race, so of course I lost but it was fun! Better than sitting in my room alone!

I will be glad to be home and in control!

What Dani said! You are doing a great job eating on plan and exercising while on business travel -- which is a super hard thing to do. I've been there and know how hard it is. Love that you had fun with your girlfriend and had a big steak -- that is the way to do it! Just one more day -- you can do this and be proud that you did!

I love coffee too -- it helps me stay on low carb. If I have a coffee with splenda and half half, that keeps me full for hours plus satisfies my morning sweet tooth.

So just get through this one more day and then you will be HOME for the weekend!

I know I live on coffee I worry that I use too much half and half, but I figure I drank it the whole time I was losing all that weight and that is a non negotiable, LOL The thought of giving up coffee is like cutting off an arm!!!

Robert has 2 more baseball games then that is done, thank goodness, so much less to do then! It is freezing here 22 degrees this morning that is nuts, I hate winter!!!!

So there is a pancake breakfast for the school, I think I will eat here and then go with Tony and watch him eat pancakes, LOL

You are doing great Amber! LOL at watching Tony eat pancakes! It is chilly here too in Boston -- but here is the good news. The Farmers Almanac has forecasted a mild winter for those of us in the northeast. I hope they are right!

You sound like you're doing great, Amber! Hopefully, you're home with your guys, by now!

It's getting very cold here in NoVA too. I think today was the last day of trying to take the dog out at 5:30 am in nightie shorts, a tank, and flip flops at 6 am. Omg-- "Brrr" does not even BEGIN to cover it! I could smell someone's fireplace going and I was highly jealous! Let's see if I can talk hubby into moving his piles of junk so I can light the wood stove =) It doesn't feel mild, so far, but that's great news it's called for in the NE! I took the dog on a long walk and have a big pot of white chili going, over here =)

Great Amber!

I knew flour was bad. I just heard another tidbit to help. Dr Perlmutter (neurologist that has come out with the book Grain Brain says eating wheat causes people to eat 440 more calories per day because it acts on the opioid receptors in the brain. I had heard this before but I had not read a calorie count associated with it.

Sort of discouraged this morning, I am up 3 pounds from last week, I was pretty careful this weekend and we worked like dogs in the yard, but oh well back at it! I am going to try going to the gym after dinner or doing a Work out video after dinner, this getting up at 5:00 sucks, and it is so cold, so going to try that this week! We need to get moving on the gym downstairs, more painting and figure out where the water is coming in at one spot.

But down 4.7 in 2 weeks, not stellar but down is better than up, so I will keep plugging!

Made a really good chicken dish last night, chicken breasts stuffed with goat cheese and herbs de Provence, and then wrapped in prosciutto, it was yummy and got rave reviews from the non low carbers. Had that with roasted cauliflower and carrots.

Nearly 5 lbs in only two weeks sounds like a win to me. Sorry the scale is being evil this morning... all of that work on the house will surely get it going back down. Dinner sounds yummy!

Morning, Amber! Your dinner sounded delicious! Oh, who am kidding -- I like just about anything that's "stuffed." Lol.

I really wanted to become a morning exerciser, but it's not happening. I just can't seem to drag myself out of bed at 5:15 on a consistent basis. I always feel like I can't wake up.

Hope you're having a great Monday! You're doing great so far.

You got a lot of exercise in working in the garden. Might be holding fluid in muscles you are not used to using!

You are doing great!

Amber, try not to weigh yourself every day. You know how the fluks thing works. No sermon necessary. That number just chips away at your mood, your resolve, and it hurts more than it helps. Once a week is all that's necessary. What about your clothes? Are they looking/feeling better?

As for dark-thirty workouts, they aren't easy by any stretch. Do what works best for you. I get up in time to allow myself to have ample stretch and coffee time (30-40 mins) before heading out to run or going to the gym. I take a B complex vitamin first thing with my coffee too. And I always have one Tbs of CO with coffee, and within 5 mins I'm sweating! So the cold thing gets crushed! Bam. Ready to go. Just a few suggestions. Of course, getting it out of the way for the rest of the day has plenty of advantages too!

Keep fighting. Head up, heart strong. It's not a number. It's a way of life.

Yes exercising in the evening was an epic fail, between dinner, homework help, blah blah 8:00 came and I was that is the last thing I feel like doing, so back to the 5:00 am ughgh I am complaining about it so I am trying to just do it!!!! T I am weighing just once a week, on Mondays but I like Lexi's idea of doing it on Friday I cant do it everyday cause it does tick me off!!!!

Just trying to eat what I need to eat and not think about it, I am sticking to my resolve of no Halloween candy! That is a tough one when the boys keep shoving it in! LOL

We have a Halloween party this Saturday I am taking veggies, and a pumpkin dip with apples, and fruit, so I will have veggies to snack on!

We have been so busy with the house stuff I need to get to the gym on weekends too, or else walk or something, slacking on the weekends isnt good, although you would think all the yard work we did would burn something!

Just going to keep plugging, I got the Venus catalog and there is a ton of cute stuff I want for Vegas and no way my fat butt is fitting in them at this point, so I cut out pictures and hung them in my dressing room for inspiration!
