Good news all around Amber!

I have read that going too low carbs increases cortisol making it hard to lose weight.

I am reading the Hawaii Diet. I think I'm going to go all in. It is similar to McDougall. After a week of eating my fill, I am bouncing 197-198 eating a lot of food.

Awesome news about the house!

Congrat's on your 2 lbs, I knew it'd start to come off again
The good-for-you-carbs will definitely help you out in those workouts and I believe keep the scale moving for you. You're doing great, lady!

I am down another pound, that is 3 this week, I am so happy! Although I am sort of hungry but eating maybe 80 carbs and watching the fat more, so we will see, I got Chris Powell's book yesterday so I think since I can start my morning workouts again I am going to try that carb cycling he recommends! I think it will be OK since it is healthy carbs and very low fat, one thing if I get back to my workouts I will need the carbs!

Raining cats and dogs all weekend from the stupid Andrea storm, I hate that since that is Tony's ex's name, LOL

I think baseball will be cancelled, 2 more drives I am so excited, that is going to make life so much better when school ends on Monday!

Have a good weekend girls!

Great job on the loss this week.

Can't wait to hear what you think about CP's book. I love him. I want to go live with him & Heidi and be part of the Powell Pack.

Zipp- we are not near the pool this year so no going to the pool for the kids, my son is actually going to be watching my grandma, his Great grandma, so he will have fun, he loves her dearly so it is good they will spend some time together and it keeps Nan's mind well!!!

Well we heard in less than 2 weeks a settlement date and my mortgage guy needs 2 weeks, so maybe less than 1 month and we can get busy on the new place there is a ton of work to do, but I am so ready!!!

Was reading the book at lunch, I am worried it will be too carby but I gotta exercise more then it should be oK!

The acceptable food list for carbs, I think you'll be a-okay..and it's only every other day for the carbs, basically... I was worried too but it's all good carbs and with exercise..I think it will do you good!

I've been eating watermelon, oranges, berries, pineapple..talk about a lil bit of heaven..esp with it being so hot outside..

I still have a little bit of the book left but I'll probably start mid-week. I'll stick with what I'm doing up until then and just roll into it. What cycle are you planning on using?

Ok D I finished the book I am using the Turbo one, 2LC then a HC reward day on Sunday! I rewarded myself last night, LOL We went for sushi, Tony was like you didnt start this plan yet!! LOL I said I know! Not sure how to get down all the veggies with every meal like celery first thing at 6 am, but I will try and see what happens!

Today is the last day of school finally, that means getting to the gym at 5 am tomorrow and everyday! Ughghg it is so hard to get back into a routine, once you break something! But after a few days it will get easier!

Fun weekend, we had a night away, that was nice, saw the new house, found a baby garter snake, OMG I screamed my head off!! Now I am terrified of the basement. Also took measurements, D make sure you do that, especially if you plan to exercise!

Yeah I'm not sure about veggies first thing in the morning, unless it's in an omlet or something...somehow celery just doesn't do it for me @ 9am
I'll do measurements in the morning and yep, the plan is to exercise! I'm kinda scared of that because I always end up hurt somehow!

Hooray for no more school! I'll be getting up waaaay early too to workout, I like getting it out of the way in the mornings..sets up for a lovely day that way!

So glad to here the house is going through soon.

I think you should be fine with some carbs. When I started JUDDD I added back in some carbs, mostly fruit and a bit of potato. It didn't seem to hurt. I keep reading that females can use more carbs as we age. You have a looong way to go to catch up to me age wise, though! If this is the diet on the Extreme Makeover show it seems to work..

Well I weighed this morning I was up 4 pounds from Fri, good grief, I am hoping it is still the sushi overload, how depressing!!! I went to the gym last night, and will go again tonight since Bobby is with my Gram. I was right around 1500 calories on a low carb day, and under 50 carbs so you would think that would do something! Another low carb day today! I really think I have to do something about my coffee, the half and half is killing me I think its a lot of fat, plus I should cut down but that makes me cranky! LOL

Terrible storms here last night again it looks like things are clearing now, his game last night was cancelled, so he was anxious to go be with his Nanny!
Tony is leaving to go to Albany so I will be alone tonight!

Of course it is just water Amber! It will come right back off.

AM veg - are you allowed to have a blueberry-spinach smoothie perhaps? I shove the leafy greens into the vitamix.

My weight was up the past 2 mornings from this weekend -- I'm thinking it's related to the 3 light beers and philly sandwich I had Sunday.

Hoping your weight gets back to its "happy place" soon! Lotsa hugs being sent your way. I'm interested to see how you & Dani do on Chris Powell's plan.

Amber, it might not be related to your eating at all. It's probably water retention from your return to the gym. Just ignore it and stay the course. Your body has to readjust to exercising.

I am sure the water is from the sushi and the exercise but I know full well I will look better getting back to exercise like I used to do, so sticking with that,I am still trying this and today is suppose to be higher carb day but now I am scared, LOL I am so ticked over that 4 pounds up on Monday its like I say my weight is stuck like glue!!!!! The eating every 4 hours is hard too we are not allowed to eat at our desks, and chewing salads and veggies takes awhile, LOL I need beaver teeth! LOL

Tony is away for business I stayed up until 11:30 last night watching Extreme Weight loss show on demand, OMG and then 5 for the gym what is wrong with me? LOL I am so tired but it was good motivation! Bobby has a game tonight so I knew I had to get up and go!

We will see what the day brings today might just do another lower carb day!

If I couldn't eat at my desk, there would be no way I could get in eating every few hours. Good luck with your new plan!

I agree that the exercise will be great for you...it's somewhat frustrating that it doesn't seem to contribute to a faster rate of loss than we would expect, but your body will look smoking!

Happy Hump Day~~

Don't be scared mama!!! It's all good-for-you-stuff..not like you're going to be gorging on donuts and candy..remember, the complex carbs will only help fuel those hard workouts you are determined to do!

You need to watch Merideth's story on EWL! She's adorable!

Your body will hold on to a bit more water as you add carbs, but once it is used to them again you won't notice a difference.

You can't gain several pounds of fat overnight!

So glad you get home in the near future....that will make e erything a lot better, I'm sure.

Yes I finally heard that settlement is 6/27 so we have a week of solid work to do in the house and then I am going to see when the movers can come and bring the furniture we have a lot of painting and flooring to replace, I dont love painting but I will do it, we are fighting about the flooring, I think you need an expert and Tony insists he will do it! Lots to finally do in the next 2 weeks, the bad thing is we can order or charge anything until after settlement, so everything is going to have some lag! We need a fridge for sure, but I said I will pack a cooler and my keurig and I am good, LOL So excited!!!!!
