Oh Lexi you will have a blast, we ended up with 6 free breakfast/dinners from playing My Vegas it was sort of pain redeeming but that was almost $200 in free meals so it is worth it, get playing! Cindy I think you said you are going, get playing!!!! I play now everyday so next year we will have enough points for show tickets or something! Where are you staying Lexi?

Made it another day! The boys seem better, OMG always something, and I am beat I guess the time change is still not adjusting with me!

Had another on track day I am struggling in the exercise department! I am becoming a slug and that is not good, I just cant get myself out the door in 7 degree weather, but I gotta get back to regular exercise!

B- Protein Bar
L-chicken and artichoke finally done now
D- salad with chicken
S- sugar free pudding

I got 2= 1.5 L water bottles and I am making myself drink one before lunch one after lunch and one at home, so I am getting a ton of water in!

Lucy- my friend on here, KT did the potato hack and she lost a ton of weight while she was doing it, I will see if she can come on here and post a link for you I know there was a thread about that, that is great, I say whatever works for you is perfect!!!!

I am so sick of Winter!!!!! Man I am ready for summer, but my fat pasty skin is not!!! LOL That is why I gotta get to the gym and stat!

Hi Lucy,

I had a potato hack thread on the board for a while, and someone else did too.

The active potato hackers seem to be on marks daily apple forum now. Look for a guy named tatertot (you can probably google). There was a rage on last year on Free the Animal. There are always people doing it on McDougall's site - they are serious fat-free vegans. Dr. McDougall made up the potato hack as proof he has a newsletter documenting it from 2005 or something (I have seen it).

It is a quick, easy, and painless way to drop 10 pounds that do NOT come back! But, I tried it for too long and felt tired and cold. It is no good long term in my opinion, but great for reversing a bad trend. People say not to do it for more than a couple of weeks.

Good luck!

Here is the potato thread I started. If you look to the beginning, there is everything you ever wanted to know about the potato hack but were afraid to ask.

Potato Hack on Paleo Blogs - Anyone Doing This?

If I remember correctly, there was a good older thread on mark's daily apple called the super secret potato project. So funny.

Great to see you, Amber, fighting the good fight!

I have this theory that the reason my strategies stop working after a while is I figure out a way to make the food taste better and better so I end up eating more after a long while. I am still experimenting with the bland food, but I can't seem to drop the chocolate, LOL.

Chocolate is better than love

Thanks for posting for Lucy!!! Chocolate is better than love, LOL!! I agree!!!! Should have chose more chocolate first time than the 2 husbands, LOL

I stayed the course, I was this close to shoving in a girl scout cookie and I put it down! I am down 8 pounds since Sunday, and thrilled, 3 more to go to get back to where I was pre Vegas.

B- Atkins shake, man I forgot how much I liked them, they were on sale
L- Salad with chopped chicken
D- ham and green beans
S- 1 ounce of cashews

I have been drinking that coffee mate, sugar free Italian sweet cream, less calories than 1/2 and 1/2, and then I dont add a ton more sweetener. I am still getting my XL dunkin coffee, still not sure what their cream is, but I still love it!

Still no progress on exercise, not good!

Still chugging!
Still freezing, still missing Vegas.

Hi Amber! I love the Atkins shakes too. I get them at SAMs. My SAMs has both vanilla and chocolate, but i do scope out sales cause I love the mocha latte the best.
I'm still getting my head right so I can hit it for February ! I can't believe Saturday is February 1! We're getting closer to spring!

Way to go! 9 lbs is awesome! Your menu sounds awesome, especially the lobster bisque. I love it! I make lasagna the same way. So much easier, and I think the noodles come out better. I even converted my 90 year old Italian Nan to the no boil ways. Yes, she still cooks, and she was all mad about the years she wasted boiling the noodles. Funny. . I still have to try dreamfields!

Lucy, that is great! Congratulations!!!!

There was a current potato hack thread. on marks daily apple. I haven't been on it for weeks, but it has the word "winter" in it (you can probably google). There might still be people on it, I'm not sure. People tend to just do a short-term hack, but you could check.

Awww honey, I am so sorry that you are sick. That is awful. Eating a little cannoli and having a little wine is not bad -- that will not take you off track. Hope you feel better doll! By the way, where did you get he rumchata? It sounds divine. Thinking of you, love, and sending good healing vibes your way.

Wow Amber, 9 pounds down! Good for you. I'm so sorry you're sick. Seems like we nurse everyone back to health, then we get sick and we're left to do it on our own. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I'm very sorry about your sweet kitty. So sad. I've been there and it's devastating.

Amber! Glad you are on the mend! This is such a crazy winter. It's been so cold and snowy, and so many people are getting really sick with weird stuff. Ugh! But you are right, we can control our eating if nothing else. Praying for your Nan! My Nan is coming home from the rehab hospital this week after fracturing here femur right before Christmas, so I get it. Poor thing!

They got my Gram transferred to the hospital in Lancaster her coumadin levels are so high they cant do anything. So at least now she is comfortable in the hospital and being monitored. We are suppose to get another storm here a foot on Thursday, good Lord I am so over it!!!!! It messes up everything! I swear we are moving to AZ or NV as soon as those kids get their diplomas, LOL

Yesterday:
B- atkins shake
L- chicken with salad
D- chicken, green beans

I have chicken and green beans today for lunch, might make turkey taco salad tonight

I hope they are able to help your Nan...I'm glad she was moved to a better facility where they can take great care of her!

I hear you on the cold weather/snow. I know y'all are getting pummelled with it! We got 10 inches week before last, which is a lot for this area. I know when I move to the NJ/NY area, I am going to be sad about the winter weather. LOL.

Turkey taco salad sounds really yummy!

You are doing great! I would have had Arby's . I am struggling so with this cold. I just can't eat salads right now! I'm cold, their cold, I know it's crazy. I need to make a big pot of veggie soup or something. Oy!
It's so hard to treat fractures I. The elderly. My nan is 90, and they couldn't do anything for her fracture but let it heal. They just didn't want to risk a surgery at her age. But she did well, did her pt, and she's so much better! Your nan will be too! She's a fighter!
