Dani, I love those. I bought some for my daughter's Christmas this year. Several boxes. She loves them so and can't get them where she is.

Blonde, put-the-chips-down

Although my program is a little higher in carb than NK, I do seem to have a handle on it. My menu today
B / coffee w/ hwc bacon x 4, 2 eggs 1/2 c fermented radishes
L / fried chicken livers, 2 slices souse, tomato, mayo, relish
D / baked sweet potato w/ butter,
S / 4 sq dark choc. 70%

Totals: 1358 calories
91 g fat
75 carbs
60 protein
60%/22%/18%
Not perfect but better
Blonde, I started checking my sugars also and today's is 25.

What happened?

Today is a new day.

I don't know what makes one fall hard on a perfectly 'normal' day. Sometimes like yesterday, my mind disconnects from my body and chooses to ignore all of the warning signs. Anxiety, Need, Confusion. Did I go out for a walk? Did I leave the house at all? No I didn't and I should have gone out. In the history of the "Binge-ing war", yesterday was a small skirmish. Not quite a full on binge but definitely off plan and off the scale in the calorie department. Again, I ask myself "what happened?" and again I answer "I don't know". I don't know why this happens sometimes, infrequently yes, but still very disturbing. I'm not going to beat myself up over this, but I do need to make full disclosure or I'm just lying to myself, and myself knows when I'm lying to me.

So today is a new day. I'm not starting over, I'm starting smarter, today.

Watchin it carefully today

My friends, somehow I missed this whole page...I was back on page 2. Thanks so much for your support! You don't know how much I wanted to 'gloss over' yesterday, I'm glad I didn't.

I'm better today. I got out my gluc powder this morning and made some thickened chicken broth w/spices and a bit of red hot pepper sauce. I need to cool-it on the calories today, it will make me feel better and more in control. One might even call it a down day. I think my guts will thank me.

Those dang chips are on top of the fridge, out of my line of sight. Pizza used to be the thing I couldn't 'let go' uneaten until I went gluten free. Now it's stupid corn chips. Anyway they will not get to me today. I ought to send them to work with DH. He brought them in....

Hope you all have a fabulous Hump Day.

2 miles, 30 minutes

Funny you should say "keep on movin'"!

Me and Leslie Sansone just did a 2 mile, 30 minute walk! WOOT!

Confessing is good for the soul and it does keep one going on and leaving the mistakes in the past.
Thanks Dani

So far so good

I've had 115 calories so far today and I'm doing okay. I'm going to get out of the house for awhile, the fridge is calling me "open, open, open". Going to the library to pick up "Tell the Wolves I'm Home" and then maybe a short trip to the mini mall by my work. I've exercised and eaten all the food I can have for now, so it's the best option. By the time I get back, I'll crack the book and get lost in literary-land until dinner time. I'm having my old standby~ salad w/chicken, Walden Farms and salsa.... about 250 calories worth of chicken breast. Takes a long time to eat it.

Dani~ it's really not that bad, I only use it when I'm on DD's and it helps the salsa stick to the lettuce...by the time I eat the salad I'm so hungry it doesn't matter....

Thank you Lindy! I know it was just one day but I've been known to go off on a tangent and not come back to my plan until I've done major damage. I had to nip it in the bud right now.

Do you mean the Chicken livers weren't great?? Boo.

Good Morning Jayce! I liked the Eve comment too.

So happy to wake up this morning and find all this love on my page! I had a perfect DD yesterday and because I did, I feel much better mentally and much stronger in my resolve to stick to the plan. Another great side effect was making myself work-out with Leslie Sansone. That made me feel good too.

One of the great things I remember about JUDDD is how well I sleep. I think I only had 1 hot flash last night. Today I'm back to counting sugar and carbs as well as overall calories. I wish I could do JUDDD but I can't seem to stay to the rotation. It's nice to know that I can use it in a pinch if I need to do so. I'm off to check your journals and such, see how you are all doing!

Hey, I'm GF too! I was diagnosed Celiac back in 2005. I still make pizza and when I do, it is DANGEROUS. GF pizza is just as good as the regular. Turns out I have issues with that too! I'm a mess!

Sounds like your DD went well!

Monica, I've never been diagnosed with celiacs but I've always had a strong feeling about wheat and wheat addiction. It took several weeks to get over it (when I stopped) and I'm so happy I don't want it like I used to. One of the things that changed was depression. I never knew until I quit it that wheat makes me feel depressed, all weepy and hopeless. Isn't that weird? If I eat it now, it comes back immediately...along with bloating and upset guts. It becomes easier and easier to just say no to wheat, so my 'fall offs' are getting fewer and far between. It was almost as difficult as quitting cigarettes.

Do you make gluten free bread products?

Morning Blonde,
No, not the chicken livers, (yum), the souse. Not great but it has gelatin and I do like pickled pigs feet. (jar). Haven't had them in years though.

I stay the same weight for 4th day. Not a gain so I won't gripe.

Oh my. My mom was crazy for pickled pigs feet. And chicken gizzards and livers. A real Southern gal. I never acquired the taste, Gizzards were like chewing on pencil erasers. Livers were...well, liver.

Staying the same weight for 4 days with no gain is GOOD. So I'm assuming you weigh everyday? Doesn't that drive you bonkers?

I must ONLY weigh once a week or I get nuts. Sometimes I might weigh the day after, only if I think I got robbed by the scale, and usually it's a mistake to weigh again.

Hooray for a pefect DD

Glad you slept well, that's always nice when that happens! My energy is slooowwly starting to come around a bit. I find myself waking again around 6 where as when I'm absolutely wiped out I don't open my eyes until 8'ish or later..

Only doing weigh in's once a week..it's been HARD But I'm trying really hard to abide by "the rules"

Weigh in's

Dani~ good for you for trying, I think you've come a long way! I'm going to weigh tomorrow even though I don't want to...Friday is my day.

Kudos for the day:

Cleaned out the fridge
Watered the back yard plants, trees and birds.
Dead-headed the roses
Picked up dog poo (everyday)
Emptied all the trash for pick-up in the morning
Rode my stationary bike 30 minutes
Went to the grocery store
Invited DH out for dinner

The last on the list was impulse, he's been so down lately, I thought he might enjoy going out for a change. I'm taking him to the casino. The food is good and it's a great drive there in the Z-car.

No I do not. For bread I buy millet chia bread (about $4 a loaf) and I use Van Waffles too. Right now I am on a Waffle kick. I generally only eat "bread" with my eggs in the morning on UD's as toast sandwich. At the moment, it is waffle sandwich. Plus the waffle is only 115c and the bread for 2 small slices is 160c

Down 1.6lbs BUT...I'm not excited yet. TGIF

Hey Ladies!

Good Morning! No dinner out last night, DH was exhausted when he got home. I whipped up some home made GF mac n cheese, that's what I ate for dinner. Lunch was a huge vegetable salad and breakfast was ummm...OH! GF Toast w/ turkey and tomato. so all in all a GOOD day yesterday. IDK what I'm doing today, maybe JUDDD maybe all veggies. I have a party tomorrow night so I need to reel it in today.

Monica~ I know! How can such tiny slices of GF bread have so many calories? Mmmm...waffles. I like to have some toast with my breakfast, too.

Jayce~ I love the bike, but I really wish I had a treadmill. I really need to get to the gym, I've been paying a month of Sundays and haven't darkened their door in all that time.

Dani~ Sorry you feel so bad (TOM?). I weighed today. 220. So I'm down 1.6 lbs. That sounds good if I don't think about the other 8 or so that I've put on since April.

Hope everyone has a great day. TGIF!
