Yeah...no dairy. I've been doing some reading on the subject and for people with arthritis it's not a good thing. Cause inflammation I guess. Lord, don't quote me though, I may be eating cheese blintzes with extra sour cream in a hour...

Have I told you lately that I think you're amazing?

Mmmmmmmmm cheese blintzes!!! .....OH...sorry!

I had no idea that dairy was a cause of inflamation. I really hope that it works for you...gotta make it worth giving that up for, that's for sure!

Aw, thank you I am only as great as the people I surround myself with!

Hey ya Dani! The tips runneth backward downhill....great day at work though. Got in lots of exercise...about 600+ calories worth! Combine that with a total DD calorie count of 877...leaves around 277 calories for the day. what did I eat, you ask? Oh you didn't? I'm going to tell you anyway....

Breakfast: canned salmon & ranch all mushed up....yum

Dinner: Grilled chicken, romaine, olives, parmesan (yes that's right, dairy) & 2 tbls of Caesar dressing.

Grand total 877
-632 burned calories
=245 calories for the DD.

Crisis averted.
Why in hell do I do this to myself?
I feel really good right now.
This morning I felt cray cray.

Feeling good right now is all that matters.. and you feel that way because you're walking as if you know the end to the story.... just sayin..

....this is how I keep rollin and it hasnt failed me, yet. Yes, I may stumble around a bit, banging into my own brain waves, but somehow I always manage to right myself into a somewhat straight line to keep going.

-2.8lbs

Thank you Ladies! I'm so lucky to have such good friends here!!!

After weeks at 222.8 and then a bounce up to 227 last Friday (yikes, a hair pulling moment) I weighed in this morning at 220. Finally, a change I can live with. At first, I couldn't grasp what I was seeing, and I thought it was another gain (I was still asleep, you see?)...then I realized 220 is LESS than 222.8....

To JUDDD week after week and have no results, I've been going completely on faith...then after the big bounce up I started to panic and started thinking crazy thoughts...like vegan, no fats........Yesterday, I decided to just go as low carb as possible, I came in at 11.7 total carbs and I drank water like a man in the desert. Even if the loss today is just water, I'll take it.

Work again today.

Great #'s today!

So easy to panic when things don't appear to be going right! Like I said, I stumble around a bit for awhile and then I wake up and realize that I just need to keep going...

GREAT JOB!

Dani

So now what do i do? DO I continue on a low carb up day? Or medium carb?

Maybe medium, under 50? That's sounds doable.

Thank you!! I too think it's the right thing to do....this one day at a time stuff is exhausting.

What's your plan for today? Where are you on your rotation? DH is home, I have work and then I'm off until Monday. Lunch tomorrow w/ my BFF at the salad place (SP). More shopping to do....not looking forward to that. It's not really the money, it's the decision making process....

Yep, one day at a time is tiring sometimes but it's also a sanity saver!

I am going to do 2 more HC days and then reward day Friday...Saturday will begin my new rotation month and will be a LC day.

Have a good day at work! I have SO much shopping to do and I just looked at a calendar

Great to hear you had a nice loss! You've worked hard and stuck with it. Now I hope it's just the beginning and your body understands it's okay to release those fat cells! C'mon body!

So glad to see you finally being rewarded for all your determination! 2.8lb is fantastic!! I've really admired your "stick-to-it-iveness" with these weeks with no loss...I never could have done it. Your hard work is paying off.

onceNforall~ Thanks for saying that. I knew it was physically impossible to gain a bunch of weight starving every other day. Frankly I didn't know what else to do, I was going to have to follow through....

I think Thanksgiving had a lot to do with my stall...

Hi Dani! Did you get any bacon today?

I had a beef burger, no bun and a big salad for lunch.

A turkey burger & cheese for dinner....

Total calories on my up day 1703....I'm supposed to have around 2000 but that seems really high, and I'm full.

Tomorrow DD will be a one meal lunch at Souplantation.

Hiya Jayce! Thank you! I missed your post yesterday. How ya doing Sugar?

Yesterday was my up day and a good one I think. DH offered me some tasty looking chocolates and I turned him down, because I could. It's not like I wanted them....

This morning I'm having my coffee black. That's not my usual MO but I want a nice lunch from Souplantation today so I don't want to waste one single calorie on coffee creamer....and...it's not so bad.

I've been tracking my calories/carbs everyday on my plate, for awhile now. Being aware is the key to not going up day 'crazy'. You may not be surprised at how quickly it can all add up.

Isn't it nice when you feel like you are in control by saying "no" I find that each time I do it I get alittle bit stronger

Enjoy your lunch today

I track everything and I am still constantly amazed at some days where I grossly over or UNDER estimate where I'm at for the day before I enter stuff in... the numbers are fascinating to me but I have to be leery of thinking about them too much...darn OCD

I totally get that! WW was so difficult for me because I obsessed about he dang POINTS. Tracking for me at this point is an FYI thing to me, a need to know...because you're right...perception of what you've taken in isn't always the real story. I have to be accountable somehow and this is the easiest way.

I love feeling in control...but I never know how long it will last....

Like I said, just keep moving forward like you know all the answers and how it's gonna end I worry too about whether I'll be able to get through another week..worrying about omg the scale is gonna not move, or it's gonna go way way up and this will just stop working.. gotta keep going no matter what and think rationally (as hard as that may be for us! ) that we ARE working our plan the way it's supposed to and things will click when they need to. I HATE not being able to control what my body does, lemme tell ya!

Thank you Monica! I don't know why I get bogged down sometimes but I'm feeling much more positive that last couple of days.

Dani~ I'm practicing the 'fine art' of 'knowing how it's gonna end'.

Had a nice day yesterday. Had a birthday lunch with my BFF, she's a year older than I. Our food choices are so different. She's into vegan eating, and green smoothies, all things lentil, beans n greens, etc. I gave it a shot for a few weeks and ended up gaining weight. I told her yesterday..."more power to you" it's not helping me. The 'Happy medium' is eating at Souplantation, cuz we both LOVE salad. She's been my friend for almost 40 years, we've raised babies together, helped each other over the loss of loved ones. I feel blessed to have such a good friend. My children and my grandchildren call her "Auntie'.

My DD was higher than I like but not a MD so I will have my Up day today as planned. I have to admit I'm feeling more positive in my food choices, trying to eat clean and avoid sugar and junk...quite a feat at this time of year. That crap is everywhere! DH has made some nice comments about my 'stick-to-it-ness'......

Maybe I can do some shopping today (maybe I SHOULD). The big day is approaching fast and I am short on gifts....

Aw, what a great friendship you have

There is ALOT of junk everywhere, isn't there?! I can honestly say, none of it is in my house. That is a FIRST in probably forever. I think the "junkiest" thing we have is the gingerbread house kit sitting here waiting to be built by DH and DD17 I am pretty proud of this!

.....which leads me to the frustration part of why I gotta be bouncing all over the place when there is nothing that I could be eating that would derail progress... but I keep going, cause after all I do know how this is gonna end....I'm going to WIN!

Got DD17's big gift last night while she was working..I swear the older she gets the nosier she is...getting anything over on her is turning out to be exhausting

Dani, we've got this! I don't like Ginger bread anything so that would be A-okay at my house...

DD the younger just agreed to go shopping with me today so I'm putting on my Santa Hat and heading out as soon as I can get her moving. So maybe in an hour.....

I love that you have a friendship like that! My BFF and I have been best friends since right before kindergarten, so I guess that's 42 years now. We've lived in different states for 32 of those, so I'm pretty proud of our being able to keep as close as we are. No one knows me like her!

Ack....shopping. I think I'm about done, but will do one more round this Saturday morning. Going to hit a nice little area we have locally that has small shops around a historic downtown area and on weekends they have craft/food booths. TG it'll be an UD!

Good luck with your shopping today. Next step....wrapping!
