Had a pretty good day today, stuck to my routine and everything’s going as planned! Thinking of making this recipe that I found the other day called Holy Yum Chicken. It’s roasted chicken thighs with a honey dijon and rosemary sauce. Gonna be yum! Still no headaches, this makes me very happy!

Went on a movie date night with my sweetie and saw Man of Steel. It was SO great! I enjoyed it very much. I’m not normally a big super hero fan but with the hero flicks that have been coming out lately, I’m getting pretty hooked. That is all, good night!

Another pretty stressful day. Some background info:

My mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, has incredibly high anxiety and is extremely stubborn when it comes to taking all of her medication when she's supposed to. When she doesn't take them in the way that they were prescribed, she goes into a schizophrenic episode and begins hallucinating. Well, she moved off to another town where there's familly around to support her, but personally, I don't feel the one who is in charge of her well-being right now (my sister) is very trustworthy. When my mother arrived, they say she was completely out of it and that they think she had overdosed on one of her meds. My sister her took her to the hospital and they told her that she had 2 doses (according to what she was supposed to have taken) of one medication in her system. My sister called me at 1:30 this morning telling me that she was trying to take too much of her medication, possibly to take her own life. No. That's not my mom. She wouldn't do something like this on purpose, she's deathly afraid of getting hooked on pills and stops taking them because she feels she can wean herself off without a doctor's assistance, not the opposite. I'm thinking she forgot she had already taken one dose and accidentally took another, it's a serious mistake to make when it comes to her health but I truly believe it was unintentional. -- My sister somehow figured the best thing to do is to tell everyone that she's going to take my mom one place, but then put her in a facility 2 hours away that she knows nothing about, and then not answer her phone all day when I try to find out what the hell is going on.

I'm so used to being the one to take care of my mom and be there when she needs help. It's been that way for 28 years now. Now that I know nothing, I'm so friggin' stressed that I can't think straight. I don't want my mom feeling alone in a place that she's never been, thinking that her family has just discarded her for their own convenience. -- My sister decided to take over after years of being MIA, and within 24 hours she's leaving her some place where she *thinks* the people are nice.
I understand my mom needs help, I'm no doctor. But why couldn't it have been discussed with me first? And TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON SO I'M NOT TEARING OUT MY HAIR WORRYING.

I'm going to call the facility that my mom is staying at tomorrow to make sure she's fine, and then figure out when the best time to take a visit is, because I'm not about to let her sit there and think she's a burden to her own family.

I'm finished ranting now.

Sunday is just around the corner, and hopefully Ill be ready! I know, logically I wont lose near as much (if any) this week considering the two larger numbers I dropped these past few. But I feel SO good, SO healthy, and I still havent had a single headache and that alone makes this whole thing more than worth continuing!

Exercise None, rest day!

I weighed in this morning at 3 more pounds down -- 197! This is SO exciting. I haven't been this weight in almost 2 years! And being under 200 is a HUGE milestone for me.

I talked to my mom today and she sounds so amazing! She says she's being taken care of real good and they've gotten her thyroid under control. She's made some friends and it's almost like she's on a little vacation. I'm so happy she's doing well!

On a more personal note, I did start my TOM today (finally, was beginning to skeeve out a little), but I'm so glad that there WAS a loss, a great loss at that and by the time my next weigh-in comes around, the extra bit of bloat shouldn't be an issue.

I made a motivation board on my Pinterest, and have been finding all kinds of really great quotes and tips about weight loss to pin. My fiance's sister and mom are both battling with weight issues and so we've all been texting back and forth every day, being each other's motivation to keep going. We're all bound and determined to meet some goals by the end of the year!

I can NOT stop dropping stuff today! First it was the milk, then the milk again, then the cocoa powder. I cleaned up the mess and then got water allover myself. I wonder what else will be in store for me today?

~*Update*~

Today was really great, actually! I didn't cramp near as bad as I usually do during my TOM, and was able to get in my workout... It was rough, I always tend to feel a little drained during this time but I pushed through.
Work was incredibly easy and quick. I feel so much healthier and get around so much easier than I did 19 pounds ago. -- I've lost it so fast too! talk about motivation.

More great news, my mom is getting out of the hospital on thursday. She sounds so good! The doctors got all of her medication straightened out and she sounds like Mom. I miss her so much!

Im a bit weary of weighing in tomorrow. I was on my period this week, plus its the 4th week or so into my diet so I know the weight loss is going to slow or come to a hault soon. Well see though!

Also, the 2nd-5th Im going to be out of state visiting family, and wont get much of a chance to workout. Better believe Im going to be sticking to my diet though!

I bought a new vitamin today called acidoph..il..us? I probably didnt spell it correctly, but a friend at work told me about it and how great it was for women. I took one tonight, they taste like strawberry milk and are 1 carb each but if its beneficial to my health, I think I can live with sacrificing a single carb.

I lost another pound! At first I was a bit let down, because you put in so much work and you expect so much of yourself and a single pound is all you get. But I found this on pinterest

YES! I confess! I went over my carbs, but thats okay because I believe I deserved it after all the progress Ive made. 20 pounds are forever gone and Im stoked!

So I had an amazing week, the best 4th of July Ive ever had! I didnt get to workout at all, but I DID get my workout in for today so WOO! I Stayed on my diet the whole time except for one very small sugar-free cupcake, and not even the whole thing, maybe 3/4 of it. Im not sure on the carb count but it did absolutely nothing because I didnt gain a single ounce! I weighed myself the evening of the 4th after i had eaten burger patties, hot dogs, sugar-free coleslaw and all sorts of yummies and I was still at 196Know what that means? It means that I should weigh even LESS than my last weigh-in!!! Im excited to find out!
