Reptos journey

Well here I am. early Sunday morning 4am, I am starting juddd on Monday! Why not Sunday? Well with it being Mother's Day, I am not a mother but thankfully my mama is still around as is her mother so we will be eating something. Tried stillmans again, lasted 2 days( almost ) on it, I binged on food today (stillmans legal food) ate more today than I do on a not on a diet typical day, actually sick to my stomach over it. I started stillmans weighing in at 336, I had dropped 4 pounds overnight, that diet does work if u can just stick to it, I think I made it two weeks last year, gained it all back of course. Juddd sounds more gentle, surely I can go 24 hours on a diet and know I can have what I want the next day, my up day numbers are ridicously high over 4000 calories , so I just need to keep my down days in check it said 900 but I read to keep it at 500 regardless. I hope this journal will help, I know it helps me to write and ramble on..sometimes about nothing. I don't like sharing my weight or struggle with real life people and on here you can be anonymous and yet still have "friends" and support, so I welcome comments to my journal, your comment might just be what I need to hear at that particular moment in time. A little about me, I am 33, a loner in Indiana, weight 332 as of may 11. Ugh I hate that!

Hi Reptogirl! Good luck with JUDD. Makes sure you have the right number for your calories. I think 4000/900 sounds way too high. I think your UD cal should only be 2000 something. You need to google JUDD calculator and enter your weight, height and age and select exercise level. Most of us use little/no exercise and start with 20-25% weight loss mode.

good luck!

Hi there,

It sounds like you have your mind made up to go tomorrow. I don't know about judd but I am behind you all the way. We all have our own ways of doing this. Everyone is different and their bodys respond different to what we try. Good Luck in starting. Oh by the way if you get upset just open your kitchen window and holler and I will hear you. HEHEHE!!!I am just over in Ohio. Also a loner but I must confess 63. Happy Mothers Day.

Marika- I did use the juddd calculator, straight from the website, I picked the lowest amount of exercise u can pick, and switched the measurements to the correct ones, I will go back and see if I screwed up somewhere.

Windygap- happy Mother's Day to you as well you are the exact same age as my mama. Yeah I live 45 mins to a hour from the Ohio state line, right off of I-70. Feel free to yell in your moments of frustrations or victories!!

Thank you both for replying to my journal it does make me happy

I am having my first cup of coffee since Thursday, stillmans only allowed black and I am a cream/sweetener type of girl, luckily I usually only drink one cup a day the rest of my family have a cup in their hand all day.

I never did finish my last post, guess my brain just stopped working, it wasn't just to whine that my stomach was hurting, I had other thoughts with it. With the way it is hurting I think my stomach just needs a day to heal, drinking some lemon water, anyone else doing this for added weight loss? But what I am getting at is today might be my down day, might as well make the first one as easy as possible, I turned down the Mother's Day dinner, they are getting fried chicken, which I don't like anyways, but I do like the mashed potatoes and fried pickles that the place has, both full of gluten, and I am trying to go gluten free to see if it helps me with headaches, fatigue, anger and a slew of other things which might be related, plus just cutting it out means less processed carbs which is always a good thing to get rid of. Mom said as a child I would be the sweetest girl until I ate, then I would turn into a hateful monster, so I goggled one night and gluten came up, guess I need to hit the forums hard and read a lot about down days.

Almost 6:30 pm, I ate a baked potato around 3pm, with only garlic sea salt from a grinder and shakable onion flakes, got really tired and took a two hour nap, it is really common with me to get incredible tired after eating, doesn't seem to matter size of meal or what it is, usually happens with my first meal of the day, eating at night doesn't do it to me, I don't know why-I have something off somewhere in my body. I was reading where people do the potato hack, not what I am doing was more interested in it just being a more filling food for the calorie intake. Was also looking at down day food porn lol only looked at a few pages, but the cabbage looked so good, I will be getting some of that next time I go to store. I think my down days are gonna be lots of veggies, which I am totally okay with. Not many that I don't like

The cabbage thing is good but it does a number on me later. For some reason it is the only meal on JUDDD that consistently makes me feel wonky after eating it -very shaky & hypoglycemic feeling. Which is weird because nothing in it should make me feel like that. I dont have blood sugar issues and I regularly do the potato hack so ... ???
I'm glad you sorted out your numbers - I was worried when I read that on my phone but trying to reply to a thread on my phone is a major pain so I was pleased to see Marika already chimed in.
Best of luck to you, my friend. Keep coming here, and keep blogging. You'll get really fantastic support!

Windy- so u are aroundish Dayton ?

Well down day number 1 is done, I still have 141 calories I could have, I ended up eating almost a half a head of cabbage cooked with 2 pieces of turkey bacon. I am stuffed right now.... Am looking forward to my up day, been craving peanut butter since Thursday so I am guessing quite a few of my calories will be used up for that that's okay...I guess.

Hi guys, I was down 1.8 over night yay, 5.4 since Friday and my almost 2 full days of stillmans. Haven't ate yet, just a cup of coffee with 70 calories with of coffee creamer-and it still didn't taste right- will need to figure out a low cal option for my daily cup of coffee.

to JUDDD. I started it over a year ago and this is the ONLY WOE I can honestly say I can do for the rest of my life! You can do this!!!!!!! Can you do non dairy creamer? I personally don't drink any coffee, my DH does and he sometimes uses that.

Can't wait to see how this goes for you!

Thanks for the welcome! I can't do the dry creamer, yuck lol. I guess I will just experiment some, I only drink one cup a day, so I could give it up, just don't want to, already quit the soft drinks, just not a fan of the fake diet taste so would rather go without. I had my 2 tbsp of peanut butter for 200 calories, more might be in my future though, not as good having to measure it, when I want peanut butter all I want is the spoon and the jar, no bread or any other pesky things to get in my way I haven't really decided what I will eat maybe a hamburger on the grill with cheese, no bun though ...maybe a couple of them

Well I tried to make a lower calorie coffee creamer, it was hideous dumped it out!!! I still have some cals left, which is good I am a night time eater, my cal tracker app messed up and when I went to add on to my peanut butter it made a separate entry showing I ate double what I did, glad I caught that so far today I have had peanut butter just randomly throughout the day, because I can !! Measured of course, pb sure has a lot of calories! And fixed 2 cheeseburgers with Turkey bacon on the foreman, I don't like turkey products or turkey as a general rule, but I thought I would try the bacon and I really like it! I think I might fix some more tonight to munch on

OH man I love peanut butter! Do you know about P2B? Its a powdered peanut butter. You can mix it with things, I think water, to make a paste and use it like peanut butter. Its lower cal & lower fat than regular peanut butter. I have never used it like that but I put it in shakes & smoothies to get the peanut butter taste without the peanut butter calories. It may not be an acceptable substitute for you - believe me, I know that sometimes I'd rather have less of the real thing than more of a fake substitute but thought I'd mention it to you since you're loving the peanut butter!

Thanks yennie I might look into p2b, I live in small town Indiana so it's probably something I would have to order online. I never really liked pb would just get cravings for it during low carb diets, unfortunate for me I found that I really really love Peter Pan honey roasted , I still have almost 900 cals left and I just had a massive snack of turkey bacon, cheese, and pickles, I would like to get close to what my calories are supposed to be, otherwise I would be defeating the purpose of juddd, I am just trying not to eat a bunch of junk, okay minus the peanut butter still better than mindless drinking Pepsi and eating candy.

Does it really matter what u eat down to every detail on juddd as long as it is within calorie limits? Like did I screw up by having almost half my cals in pb? I also drank a yoo hoo, still under my limits. I think I read someone had wrote they lost eating Pastries etc....I know it is just better for you eating healthy food, but can it screw up weight loss especially the empty cals of a chocolate drink. I guess everyone's body reacts different.

JUDD does not cares what you eat as long as you eat within your caloric range. Personally I don't subscribe to this theory as I believe it is important what we put in our body. That being said, there are number of people who lose nicely eating whatever they desire (in their correct calories range). I think the beauty of JUDD is its flexibility. You can pick what you want to eat plus you can have treats on UD that you may not me allowed on low carb or other type of diet. You can pick any diet and combine it with JUDD. Possibilities are endless.

The easiest way to add calories (if you are under) is to increase fats
oil
butter
nuts
avocados
fatty meats
full fat yogurt

all these can add up very quickly

Thank you for the answers!!! just woke up but wanted to report I was down another 1.2 lbs, could be that I have different clothes on, will weigh again with bulky jeans as that is what I was weighing myself in all the other days, before I went to bed I was only up .2 so I think a little of it is loss and not clothes even if its just .0000001 haha.

Okay apparently my jeans weigh exactly 1.2 pounds haha! So no change from yesterday weight, which is good bc I was figuring a gain, excited to see what the scale shows tomorrow, my only worry is going over to a friends this evening, didn't want her to know I was on a diet-she finds out she will be inviting me out to eat etc...happens every darn time I have always weighed less than her at one time over 100 pounds less than her, she had weight loss surgery several years ago and she is nearing getting out of the 300s now, only due to her eating all the food you aren't supposed to eat after Lap band and screwing it up to the point that she couldn't eat or drink anything, she is always giving me her "fat" clothes, oh these are too big on me now blah blah blah, of course she wants to wear skin tight clothes and shirts too short etc and oh I need to shut up, just a little bit of frustration I have towards her lol, guess it is okay to vent in my journal

Where else can you vent if not your journal? I don't tell people what I'm going. There are a few threads on the JUDDD board about people telling friends & family and the negative reactions they got. We don't need that.
If you think she's going to ask you out to dinner, scope out where you'll be going and pick some meals within your calorie allotments. Dawn (Kierasmom) on the JUDDD board eats out all the time so you can do it and still lose.
Just don't tell her you're on a diet.
Its actually kinda funny, on JUDDD, to lose weight but be seen eating "normally" every other day. Most people don't pay enough attention to realize its an EOD thing so here you are eating PB & donuts & cake but dropping pounds. I think its funny.

I am like Jennie. I don't tell my friends I am on JUDD. Only DH knows. I already eat different that everyone else, so nobody bothers I rarely eat out anyway. I just skip a breakfast or lunch if I know I will be eating out. Eating out on DD can be little tricky but doable. I usually go for salad without dressing and perhaps some baked fish.

Maybe you can try weighing yourself without clothes. That's what I do every morning after bathroom's visit. I never dare to weight myself in the evening.

Lol-yeah juddd is my little secret, will have to lose an considerable amount before it will be noticed, I haven't told her, she comes around quite often so will just have to work on keeping it a secret from her above everyone else, I just don't know why I have never manipulated the situation and just told her I was on a diet when I am not to get some free food hahaha...here is one lovely thing to report already i ate my lunch and didn't feel the need to climb into bed, I don't know if it was a fluke, or if it is because I am eating gluten free( I don't want to be affected by wheat I love the Chinese Buffett we don't go very often we can't afford to go out much, maybe twice a year) or could juddd be doing something only after a few days? I am fixing another head of cabbage, if I wait until I get hungry bad things will surely happen, get too sick to my stomach then I will just grab anything. This time I added a garlic clove and beef bouillon.
