I couldn't seem to get the scale to budge last week.. until it went UP! Not exactly what I wanted! Besides Saturday, I felt like I did really well all week so it is kind of frustrating to not see results. Maybe I just need to eat LESS of what I'm eating.. or cut down on the dairy. I dunno

On a positive note, I found a local personal trainer who does small group sessions for $15! So now I know I can afford to keep up with my weekly workouts indefinitely!

Just got off work so I'm not going to be exercising today.. I'll be working late pretty much now until May so I'm not sure what I'll do about exercising during the week.. I'll need to figure something out!

Good point Monica! I'm going to make an extra effort to squeeze in time next week! I'm going to Disneyland tomorrow so there will be LOTS of walking involved! Hopefully not an equivalent amount of eating.... wish me luck!

Well, this weekend was a doozy! I went to Disneyland and ate and drank like it was going out of style! Jumping right back on the wagon tomorrow.. I hope I didn't do too much damage!

So my cheat Saturday turned into a cheat Sunday & Monday..And a not so good week.. But I am slowly getting back to it and weighed in this morning at 233.8!! Friday it was at 238, though, so not holding my breath that it will stay that way.. Either way, it was an exciting number to see!

So yesterday wasn't bad! I stayed under my carbs for the day...weighed in at 235 so not a loss but also not horrible...

but then today happened....

Brownies for breakfast , beer and a hamburger (with bun!) for lunch, and wine and cheese for dinner...

I really need to get back on track and stay that way!! Every time I cheat, I think about it, acknowledge i'm doing something wrong.. and then I decide I don't care! Something has to change!

Joy, you are describing me to a T right now. I couldn't seem to focus to save my FREAKING life! Today, I am refocusing! Restarting, whatever you want to call it. I am going to stick with my plan and NOT allow any excuses. I have been the QUEEN of excuses lately! I want to get to my goal of 164 and HECK, I really want to get below that. I finally told myself, with the way I have been lately, even my initial goal will never happen! REFOCUS with me. We can do this together!

Yikes.. I can't believe its been 5 months since I've been here.. work/life got in the way but I'm finally back at it. Currently weighing in 10 lbs heavier than 5 months ago but I'm determined to get it down!

I've reevaluated my goals this past month and have realized that I'm too focused on my weight and not focused enough on making healthy habits. I'm currently doing personal training sessions once a week but its clearly not enough when I spend my Saturday evenings drinking and snacking!

I read somewhere that most goals are pointless because you can't control how many lbs you'll lose or how fast you can run. You CAN control actions. So, here are my new action goals for January:

1) Log food/exercise every day (regardless of whether it was a whole pizza and a pint of ice cream, just get in the habit of writing everything down)
2) Exercise at least once a day (5 mins or an hour doesn't matter. I just need to get something in each day!)
3) Drink 8 glasses of water each day
4) Eat <30g carbs and/or <1300 calories a day (focusing on calories too because I want to be able to eat some fruits and not feel like I'm doing a bad thing!)

I've also set up a similar reward system like I was doing last time with manicures and pedicures as prizes. My last big prize was to use the coach purse that I bought back in May.. and since I never met that goal, I'm happy to report that I've been strong and still haven't used it yet! You have no idea how hard it is to see it sitting there every day lol!
