Monica I think you're right.. I checked out the curves and tried out the machines. I think it would be good for toning but not that great for overall weight loss or health.

Thanks for the input!

Haha I'm the opposite.. I haven't really exercised since playing sports in high school! I really need to do SOMETHING.

Life is actually pretty great. I've lost 4.2 lbs since monday morning!!! I know its just flushing out the water weight from my junk food weekend but I am super excited

I hope you're feeling better??

I am feeling better. I can't decide if I got GLUTENED (I'm Celiac) or if I had some random virus. I guess, who cares now...I'm better!

4.2 since Monday, that is FABULOUS girl!

I didn't play sports ever. I was a choir girl. Church/school, you name it. I sang it! I have always tried (no matter my size) to get moving. I have come to the realization that it doesn't aid in weight loss, but man is it good for me and it makes me feel SO GOOD! STart small and work your way up girl! BABY STEPS!

Oh and your Guac/bacon/burger sounds DEVINE!!!!!!!!!! I love me some guac!

So, I'm pretty impressed with myself! lol Yesterday I walked 3.5 miles (in an hour and 15). I walk one mile along the beach then 3/4 miles up the hill.. then back. Walking up a hill is HARD. It makes me realize how out of shape I am when I'm panting not wanting to take another step and people RUN past me. Yikes. Yesterday I just kept pushing myself and realized that I won't die if I keep going (contrary to how it feels! ).

I think after a couple more weeks of this, once I've gotten my endurance up, I'll join a fitness class to get a better work out for the time.

As far as weight goes.. I am usually a daily weigher but I decided to stop this week and see how it goes. It's actually really hard because I have NO idea if what I'm doing/eating is helping or hurting. I think I really need to go back to daily weighing (I guess it depends on what the scale says, of course) just to keep my goal in sight.

On a side note, I just found out (maybe everyone knows this and I'm just slow?) that eating 30g of protein (equivalent of approx 4 eggs! yikes!) within 30 mins of waking up in the morning can boost your metabolism for the day by up to 35%! Don't know what kind of proof they have that substantiates this but it can't hurt right? I also don't know if I can handle that much food so early in the morning but I'm going to try tomorrow to see how it goes

6/19 (46 carb day)
B: atkins bar (3g)
L: Very small portion of a steak salad (5-10g?)
S: Cashew clusters (~6g)
D: Carne asada, sour cream, cheese, and hot sauce

S: Cappuccino (6g) oops! Boss was buying though!
L: Chipotle (8g) Boss bought again
D: Steak & sour cream

I guess tomorrow will be my 0 carb day...

So I cheated from my plan of weighing weekly and found out that I've gained a pound since Monday!! And unfortunately, I have plans to go to a bday party (lots of drinking involved!) this evening so today isn't going to be great.

I think I'll be eating 0 carb from now until Monday and hopefully lose something!

Well I took your advice and had a great time!! A great time that included a ton of sugary shots and a bowl of homemade fried rice I'm sure its just the dehydration from the alcohol but I'm down 4 lbs from yesterday! A confidence booster after the gain yesterday

6/21:
B: 4 eggs
L: Ham and Cheese
D: Fried Rice & Drinks

Also walked 3.9 miles today!! Included almost a mile up hill! That means I walked over 10 miles this week. Feeling great!

Slept through breakfast & lunch...
D: Wendy's Baconater (no bun) Don't judge!

Way too hot/hungover for any type of exercise. I am going to schedule some time every Saturday with a personal trainer starting in a few weeks so hopefully that will keep me from being lazy on the weekends..
