HCG Loading Day 2

2% milk

poutine
2 pieces of KFC chicken
Haagen Dazs ice cream bar

For dinner, most likely a loaded baked potato (bacon, cheddar, full fat sour cream) and a grilled steak dipped in a dill-mayo dressing with some kind of veggie and butter

skipped the bacon on the potato, had butter with sour cream and cheddar

Today - Day 1 of VLCD

B: Coffee

L: 6 strawberries, 1 cup cucumber slices with vinegar, salt, pepper, grilled chicken

snack: 2 bread sticks (forgot to bring one to work!)

D: 1 cup steamed asparagus, grilled steak

snack: apple

7 cups of water - will have to work on this!

I felt pretty good today but I did have occasional moments of dizziness and felt quite nauseous before lunch. Nothing too, too bad and I'm pretty sure they'll pass as I go along.

Off to browse around the forum for a bit!

B: coffee (with 1 tbsp half and half, 2 pks splenda)

snack: 1 breadstick

L: 1 cup sliced cucumbers with vinegar and pepper, 6 sliced strawberries, 3.5 oz sole filet

D: 3.5 oz grilled chicken, 1 cup steamed shredded cabbage

working on my water, still have 1 cup to go for my 64 oz goal

Still have 1 fruit and 1 breadstick left for a snack later

I think I might start having a mid-morning snack of fruit since I get hungry before lunch time. I seem to do okay from lunch to dinner but I'm having an early dinner

Trying different things to see what works for me!

note about splenda - I tried stevia powder and I hated it so I'm sticking with my Splenda for now and will try different brands of stevia to see if others taste better. I think mine was Equal brand from Walmart? I gave it away.

I hate the stuff. Try Krisda (Safeway). The vanilla and almond are awesome! They have sweeteners and drink additives similar to Crystal Lite but made from a blenda of stevia and erithrytol I think it is... Pardon my spelling hehe

Some of the flavoured liquid stevias are tolerable, like the vanilla creme... but you have to be VERY careful not to use too much cos it goes from sweet to bitter in a drop or 2, I find.

Here you go.. Jeanyyy Again???

Had my breadstick and then a strawberry smoothie (strawberries with some sf lemonade and a tbsp of sf/ff/dairy free international delight vanilla). It was delicious!!

Slept for about 12 hours and now I'm up and getting ready for work.

No food/coffee yet but I'll post my menu in a bit. Off to shower...

B: coffee

L: steamed spinach and cabbage, grilled chicken

snack: berries

D: green beans, tuna

snack: strawberries

snack: 2 breadsticks (I forgot to bring them to work!)

Drank at least 10 glasses of water, just sucking them back in my starbucks cup

Took a potassium supplement this evening to see if it helps with the lightheadedness/dizziness. So far so good because I didn't notice any this evening.

Had some terrible news today - a good friend of mine has been diagnosed with stage 3/4 colon cancer. She didn't have any of the classic symptoms and she's only 36 and a single Mom. I went to see her today and she's hanging in there, having surgery this weekend and then the docs will determine from there what course of action they will take. Makes a person stop and think...

I sure hope this hunger eases up soon! I feel like I'm soooo hungry all the time other than right after a meal. There were tons of goodies all over the place at work today and I managed to 'white knuckle' it and not eat anything off plan but I was very tempted due to hunger.

I'm wondering if I should replace the fruit and breadsticks with veggies and maybe a bit more protein in order to help ketosis and appetite suppression?

For now I think I'll keep at it and complete a full week and go from there. I can't see myself continuing to be constantly hungry and feeling lightheaded and spacy - I'll blow it! Also, I can't do my job properly if I continue to feel this way.

We shall see....

Any advice, Jean, on how to cope with the hunger and lightheadedness? Did you experience this? I think that next round I will stick with LC and high fat for my loading days rather than things like pasta and ice cream. Although they are high fat, I'm guessing that if I go with LC and high fat I'll be getting a head start on ketosis and the appetite suppression that it brings? That's my thought anyway. What do you think?

Keep up the great work, Jean! When my guys here were wondering about this plan I was going on I used your success as a way to demonstrate that it works!!
Well, I probably won't go.. feeling quite tired at the moment.

Yes, take your drops/pellets more often, 4 X a day if necessary... I space out my food quite a bit, too. Like having a 1/2 apple twice a day and so on.

And yes, people find if they load well with fats, it works better when they switch to VLCD re hunger suppression. In the meantime, drink tons of water, increase your dose and spread out your food. Try for things that bulk you up like apples, cabbage, etc.

Before you tinker with the foods you eat, I'd increase your dosage of HCG.. take it 4 X a day. A lot of people do that when they first start, to ease the hungries.....

Down another 1.6 lbs and have broken thru into the 40s

I just finished working 6 shifts so now I'm off for 3 glorious days! I'm being taken out for Mother's Day lunch shortly and then I have about 10 loads of laundry to do. After that I'll get the guys to help clean the kitchen and make dinner then relax with a movie in the evening???

No real plan for food so far today - I've got plenty of precooked/preweighed meats in the freezer and lots of fresh fruits and veggies

YAYYY!!

Have you tried the Orange Julius yet? One whole orange, peeled, sectioned, cut into bite size pieces, in your Magic Bullet or blender, cold water (1-2 cups), ice cubes, sweetener, your 1 Tbsp of milk, and maybe a touch of vanilla extract.. blend away. Yummmm!

Didnt do very well today - oldest son took me out for lunch for Mother's Day and I had a salad with grilled chicken but it did have nuts, cheese, and a boiled egg. Then I had a glass of milk tonight with a few extra breadsticks.

Back at it in the a.m.....

Back at it this morning with a 0.5 lb gain for yesterday's splurge...

So far today:

coffee
water
coleslaw
grilled chicken

Went for a one-hour walk today running errands - went to vote in Provincial election, to the bank, the liquor store for my son for beer for tonight's hockey game , then home again.

Working on laundry and about to start dinner....

planning to switch to an HCG/LC hybrid plan, will share when I've worked some things out.

I'm finding that I'm just too hungry and too spaced-out to be able to function properly, especially at work!

went off-plan for the past 2 days, nothing crazy and still quite good but up 2 lbs since my lowest weight so far. So, not too bad...

Back at it today (and back to work, too).
