Happy Birthday to my big baby. He turns 42 today. Guess what mom is 2 lbs less then when I got preg. with you how about that. Good for mom. He's dad was going to have a big cook out for fathers day with his grandpa him and my son. I thought I would just have cake and icecream in the evening since he was going to the big lunch Oh no that was not good enough! I could tell when I said it . So I said or we could have a weenie roast. He said sure mom burgers and weenies would work. SO GUESS WHO IS HAVEING A COOK OUT TO DAY FOR HER 42 YEAR OLD SON!!!!!!! He all the times says he has to get up from one holiday dinner to go to the next and if you are the 2nd one he eats very little. So I thought I would lighten his load today. Oh no he might be 42 and still not married but he still wants his birthday party. Can some one tell me when they grow out of this? HEHEHE!!!

His girl friend died about 5 years ago waiting for her 3rd kidney. She died at the age of 40 so that is why he is not married. They both wanted to get married but they could not or she would loose a lot of Med. help. Her drugs for one month was over 2,000. So He is still not dateing much. Still hurting.

Hope all have a great day. If you don't have a dad to go home to see today kick back and have a great day doing something you love to do. Read a good book, go to the beach, have a cook out, go out to eat, ride your bike smalls. Every body have fun love to all.

Hope you had a great birthday celebration with your baby boy! And congrats on the fact that you weigh less now than you did 42 years ago! That's awesome!

Popcorn! Oh I am the same way. We go to a fancy theater near us that makes it with real butter. I love a small bag with a lovely diet pop of the citrus kind. Mmmm!

But it really spikes my blood sugar. Grr and why is everything guilt-inducing?

Your weekend sounds lovely!

Hi all. Party was great except I ate all the wrong things and of course ate cake and icecream. There were 8 there and the weather was great. Yes smalls the scales are up to 142 but it was worth it to have a meal like every one else. So I had a 300 cal DD the next day to make up for it. Ate today and 300 DD tomorrow.

Carol the week is ok so far. We have worked hard for the last 2 days. Trying to get caught up from the rain last week. We have 2 days this week coming too so trying to catch up.

I know Daisy. Everytime I eat popcorn I usually go up 2 to 3 lbs even tho I count the cals. It must spike mine to have not checked that item yet. But I have thought it does for awhile. I can get a sugar buz at night in bed if I eat it say at 8pm. Bummer!

Can't talk long Susan we had bad storms all last night . Have worked a hour to get the compt. up and running again and I just clicked on and the thunder is starting again so I need to get off and shut down compt.

I agree with you on the wheel. I have been gaining and looseing the same lbs. over and over. I just got back to 139 this morning? Don't know what I did different. It all looks the same in my food journal. So I am going to hold my breath that maybe my body is ready to start dropping I hope.

Oh no big lightening going on. They said we had over 300 last night with just 1 of the storms and we had 3 come thru. Got to go hitting too close. Bye

Hi Monica and Carol. Getting ready to go weedeat all day. We had another storm this morning from 4 to 5 30 so going in late to let things dry out some. It was going to rain most of the day yesterday but did not rain until 3 then it poured most of the evening. So boss is alittle upset wondering why we did not come in late yesterday. How was we suppose to know the storm changed its mind. Oh well! We will weedeat all day today and that should make him glad if you get my drift. If I had of called everyone in it would have started raining again and then he would have chewed me out for comeing in. Go figure.

Hope all have a great day. Storms come in again at 3 if you can believe it. See you all later. Oh weight 139 so far

You really are getting the storms! We haven't had a drop of rain in months. Monsoon season is coming soon, and hopefully it will be rain and not just dust storms this year.

Are you telling me that you weedeat ALL DAY LONG with a hand held weedeater??? I hope not! My back kills me after just edging around the perimeter of my small backyard. Yikes!

Morning Judy,

Hey I get to mow today!! The rain here should be late in the day so that I can get the grass cutting done and weed eating as well.

I am back on plan, meat, eggs, lettuce and Quest bars. Dropped those 2 pounds that I had found again.. This time I will not pick them up again.. Got to keep the scale moving down..

Stay safe, just like me and get inside when the storms hit....

Hi everybody. Made it thru the storms yesterday. Yes we weedeated 7 hours carrying the heavy weedeaters most of the time. Unless we are spraying poison, pulling weeds by hand or traveling to the next place. They get pretty heavy after awhile. Yes we are getting a lot of rain and a lot of storms. We worked till 2:30 yesterday and very black clouds were rolling in very fast from 3 different sides and we were working on a big hill so we could see pretty far in all 3 ways. We got out fast.

Weight today is 138 don't anyone say it out loud or it will hear you and take a jump up again. I am not talking a little jump I am talking a big one. Going to the movies to see Jersey's Boys so no popcorn for me. Got to try to keep going down now with out my body knowing what I am doing.

Going to mow the grass and weedeat my yard if it don't rain today if I can get in my back yard. Have to go out and pick up all the limbs everywhere. So far I just had my new flower arch turned over and my glaze ball knocked out of holder. One of my big hanging pots fell and broke a couple of limbs off so I now have a whole in the big arrangement . But if that is all I have had I am so tickled. A lot of other people has had a lot more happen. It wrecked a festival down the street about less then a 1/4 mile from me. Tore up a lot of tents and even turned over one of the carnies campers. They got it all fixed up for opening night yesterday and it hit again at 3 so I hope it did not damage it again.

Hope you all have a very relaxing weekend. Oh and Carol I am sending the rain your way I am tired of it for a while. HEHEHE!!

Hello Judy! Mary here-I hope you don't mind me popping in...I've been reading your journal and let me tell ya, I love it! Made me wish you were my neighbor. I live in the Fingerlakes in NY and reading about your grandparents house reminded me of here...it's very rural with lots of farms and old farmhouses. I loved the story about the ghost!!! I live in an old house with two staircases, and lots of ghosts. I have had plenty of weird things happen here. Congratulations on your weight loss, you've really got it going on! Hope you're having a great weekend!

First of all Girls I know you are all younger then me probably but there is a great movie out starting yesterday. It is Jersey Boys. It is about Fankie Valli and the 4 seasons. Clint Eastwood decided to do the movie for them and it is great. Well worth your hard earned money. I can't wait to buy it when it comes out on dvd. My sister is waiting for it to come out on cd also. All the music is great and the story will keep you glued to your seat. Most of the people did not get up thru all the credits.

Carol I love your picture. Cute Cute! Oh my sister said you could have her rain for awhile too! She said she just wants some to keep flowers and garden growing. All the rest you can have. I tried to mow yesterday . !/2 of the back is under water to my ankles. My girlfriend and I was talking yesterday and I was telling her about the black clouds that I told you all about yesterday. Well she said you know what happened at the Dayton mall don't you. Of course my answer was no because I don't watch much news. Turns out It flood in the parking lot up to peoples windows on some cars. They some cars up to their rear view mir. Some water got in the mall a little but she said they put something over the doors to keep the water from getting in too bad. One lady had just picked up a brand new car that morning. About 1/2 the mall lots were under water. Then the to down the road from the mall flooded too. That is where we saw the blackest clouds when we were on the hill that day. I got on the news station facebook page and saw the cars. It was really hard to believe. There is no creeks or rivers near the mall. It was just water from the sky that did it.

Thank you NanaMary I have seen you over at the Juddd site . So glad you stopped in to say hi. I have never been to Ny. but hear it is beautiful in your area. Yes the ghost stories were real. I also went on a real ghost hunt for my birthday. Wish we were next store to you I would come to see your ghosts too! The only trouble living near me I bake when I should not and I pass all my bake goods out so I won't eat all them myself. You would have to diet more if I was next store so count your self lucky. I am a bad person to be around when you are dieting. I blow it too often.

Well girls I better get off and do something today. Oh by the way do you know that they have fake nails for cats now. my sister took her cat in to get ready for declawing and the vet said her cats birthday was yesterday 1 year old and he could not do them because of his age so he wanted to sell her false nails that are plastic to cover their nails. That blew my mind so I looked up noels age and she is 1 Sept 12 so I better hurry and get her front paws done. She is sitting in my lap right now and is clawing my leg to death. I was going to do it in Aug while we were on vacation but I guess I better call this week.

Sorry for misspelled words in the last post. Noel kept jumping up and clawing me and I did not see the half done words. She is sitting on my d link right now lets hope she does not shut down my enternet like she did last week. Oh NanaMarry this is a warning for you I have a crazy new kitten who loves the computer. She is a wild child and types and post messages to the girls sometimes. HEHEHE!!! I got up to go to get more coffee and she typed a message and posted while I was gone.

So that being said if you see where I did not sound right she is bugging me.

Yes fake nails. They cover the real ones so they can't claw. You have to put them on every 6 weeks., That blows my mind.

I have bad news here today. First of all yesterday every thing went wrong at work and the boss was not to happy with me. Then I go straight to the nursing home and take care of mom. When I got home it was sunny at 7pm but I saw rain in the drive way and about 2 in. of water in the trash can I picked up. I thought that was odd because we did not get any where I was. 10 min. later it starts raining with the sun out. It did that 2 times in about 30 min. Then the real storms came in with thunder and lightning going crazy all over the sky one right after the other with no brakes in between. Then all of a sudden the hurican type of wind came in and It was so white out side I could not see anything out any window. I kept praying and praying because I have 4 giant trees in my yard and just as the white came I saw street signs bend side ways the big tree out front started swaying side ways real bad then every thing went white. When It was over I checked my trees in front and back and thanked God that they made it threw another bad storm. We had a couple more storms come thru in the next hour. I had ele. no cable. all was fine until I happened to look out my picture window down the street at the stores across the street. That is when I realized that I could see too much. My tree on the side of the house was missing. I ran out of the house in shorty pj's and ran off the porch and found my tree on top of the neighbors garage. It scared me half to death. I standing in the light rain in pj's looking at my big tree on her roof and I instantly got sicker then a dog and thought I was going to thro up. I ran in and tried to call the insurance co. of course they were closed up and I was transferred to a adjuster that wanted me to give him a total amount to put in a claim. I got so mad and said look I called you to ask what I need to do how would I know an amount. So he told me to wait till this morning and call my agent. So guess who got to call the boss and tell him I could not come in today. You got it me. Boss was not a happy camper. Said It was a act of God so Her co. has to pay and I guess he thought I should come in but I said I have to stay here until I find out what I need to do about the tree. So here I sit quit up set after the last 24 hours. The neighbor is a very nice lady who has lived by us since the 60's and is a good Christian and was not up set or mad. She says she had been praying too! So we are waiting to call our agents right now. She said when she called her son he said he's daughter said that there were trees down all over in their area a couple of streets down. So while I am waiting I think I will put my clothes on and drive down that away and see how bad things are.

The good thing today is all this caused me to go down a lb. this morning after a big up day go figure.

OH Judy, that sounds like a scary storm. I know you are upset, but always remember, the important thing is NO ONE WAS HURT! The garage can be fixed and you should just let the insurance companies hash that out. Sounds lik you have a good relationship with your neighbor, that always helps!

Stay safe girl! Let us know if anything else is damaged! .. Your boss, sounds like an A $$!

Judy,
so glad you are safe, yes those darn trees seem to be the first thing to move in big storms.
Tell your boss to settle down and that you need to take care of things just for one day.. I agree he sounds like A $$..

I'm so sorry about all this Judy. Very stressful. I'll just pipe in and be the third one to agree on the A$$ness of your boss. He sounds like a bully. And one who doesn't know anything either. Act of god. Whatever. It's still damage and a claim needs to be made by both of you to cover all bases, and you need to do that. (Former insurance nerd here).

Hang in there. I'm so glad YOU are okay and no major damage to your property. Was Noel freaked out by the storm?
