Pupa--I would do no fruit. Dr Simeons said to stay away from the sweet fruits. And you could not have picked any that are sweeter!!!! The ONLY fruit I eat on P3 is the berries, grapefruit and the occasional apple. That is it!!! Do not do any more fruit. That should help you in P3. Remember the rules of P3--No starch, No sugar. That is all. You don't have to eat a certain number of calories. So don't force yourself to eat anything you don't want or are not hungry for. Just remember those 2 simple rules and you will be good!

Shelle--I am sure your mind will be eased with that second pregnancy test. Once you get one, you will see that your hcg will be good. I just know it.

I know some fruits are more sugary than others, but neither of them were listed as the worst on the list in the p3 thread, peach was actually listed as good! Will still try to keep off them. It was one pound today and something yesterday too (0.4 i think) so its already 1.4 pounds. That´s why I started worrying...Having some more fat today, fried my omelette in oil and had a tiny bit of garlic butter on my meat. Hoping tomorrow will be better Thanks for the tips though ladies!

Good luck with your next test Shelle, keep us updated!

I am one who doesn't agree with that list 100%. I don't do the fruit on P3, other than those allowed on P2. I stick with the rules that Simeons' gives, no starch and no sugar and it works for me. Good idea to add more fat. Your body will thank you for that. I love adding the fat back in, I feel so fat deprived on P2 that by the time I get to P3 I am so ready to drink butter LOL. I don't, of course, but certainly feel like I could.

Thanks Dawn, some things on the list really surprised me as they are things I have read are high in sugar from my days doing South Beach Diet but thought they´d be ok anyway. Will see how things will be on the scale tomorrow

I took the second test and used a whole dose on it. It didn't even register anything. The tip was very dry. So I added water to it and it tested positive right away. Now I need to regroup my thinking.

I see where you posted it is positive. Now to call your clinic and ask THEM what to do. You are paying big bucks and you need their help. Did that doc call you back or get back in touch with you yet?

No, I didn't hear from him. I am wondering if it has lost potency. To my calculations, it was on truck for 2 days and it has been 90 degrees here during that week. I feel like I need to try hard to focus right now. Try really hard!

Oh how depressing. I gained another pound so I need to do a correction day but it will have to wait until tomorrow, I have my kettlebell workout this morning and I have to have something before that or I will faint in this heat.

Cyber hugs to anyone who needs it!

Hi Pupa!

I am sorry to hear that you gained. Maybe post a thread on the main hcg board and get some input from the veterans. I know they can tell you exactly what is going on. I think it is so wonderful that you are being very vigilant on the scale. I know people that go to ph 3 and go nuts. Yes, gaining it almost all back!!! Hope you find some answers.

@serenity.... how are you doing? I hope all is well with you!

@Dawn.... Hi there! You are amazing!

My update.... So, the scale was down for me. 236.2. That is amazing given the full-blown meal that I ate Wednesday night when I thought I was literally starving myself. And even yesterday morning, as I beleived that it lost its potency. I decided to eat normal having granola bars and a banana. But then I tested it the second time and it read positive. So as I was about to BINGE...yes, I have food issues.... I realized how tired I was of doing this! And I walked away, worked out and went to protocol for the remainder of the day.

My weight was 237.6 Wed morning and is at 236.2 today. I am so happy for this! I am still waiting on my new batch to get here though.

Where did everyone go? I hope all is well.

I have to admit that I am struggling. I ate too much yesterday and had to deal with cravings all day today. I am thinking that pms is starting to rear its ugly head. And I have a rough time with it. So I sure hope not.

My goal tonight is to get through the night without another bite. I believe that will set me up for success tomorrow dimishing the craving monster.

Again, I hope all is well and its just a busy weekend for everyone.

Time for a check-in. Today I skipped my dose of hcg in hopes of monitoring if it helps my hunger levels or makes them worse. After I ate lunch the hunger vanished for the rest of the day. I don't know if it was due to being busy or if it is the hcg. But tomorrow I am going to decrease my dose to 125 and hope that I can just maintain there. Tuesday I get my new batch. I will be glad for that.

I also took a break from working out due to feeling stress on my muscles that signaled "too much" vs the good "soar" feeling that comes with it letting you know you did well. But tomorrow is a new day and I would like to get a 45 min bike ride in and do my weight training. I will feel like a million bucks! Best thing will be to do it early though so I don't sit around all day arguing with myself to "git r don"!

Today the hunger seems to be "normal". I was hoping that it wouldnt be at all. But I looked at my syrnge and obviously only lowered it to 150 instead of 125. So tomorrow I am taking it down another notch.

I am trying to talk myself into working out. I don't know why I struggle so much to get started. I feel wonderful after I get moving. Oh well. I guess another habit to break. Speaking of habits to break, night eating has been conquored! Seeing how easy it is now not to get up and eat/binge, I can understand why someone who didn't experience what I was going through to think that it was ridiculous. It seems so easy now. But I know it was horrible!!! I am thankful to be where I am at.

The scale is still moving downward too. I actually believe I "felt" smaller this morning. Yay!

Hi Shelle, sorry for being MIA. My internet and landline just died two days ago and today they finally came to fix it. I feel like i have been in the woods for two days and have lots of catching up to do all over the internet

My gain in p3 stopped and I´ve been on the same weight for a long time now. I admit, in total I have probably gained a bit more than the two pounds allowed but since I stabilized on that weight I decided not to do anything about it. This morning though I was up a bit more but then I forgot to weigh myself first thing in the morning so Im not sure if I can fully rely on the numbers, I seem to always weigh more when the body starts working in the morning. If Im still up tomorrow morning I will do a correction day and see where that takes me....

Wow, Pupa, I never thought of my weight climbing just because I am waking up. Is that really scientifically proven??? If so, I am cheating myself on my weigh ins.

Well, I weighed in this morning and I was up .4. I am not shocked though cause I did weight training yesterday and REALLy worked it! I KNOW I am retaining that healing fluid for my muscles. Also, i am showing signs that pms is nearby. I always gain a few on that but lose it and more once I start. So I am not going to sweat it.

As far as my eating yesterday I didn't log so I am not sure where I was. I would assume around 600-700 and that is with 30 min of working out. So I don't think that was too bad. But i need to log today.

Also today I am getting my new batch of hcg. I am leaving work at lunch time to get it out of the weather and into the fridge. I lowered my dose today to 125ius and I am hoping the hunger is better.

Congrats for finding your way out of the woods. And double congrats on stabilizing!!! I know you needed that! What changes did you make to your food choices?

I have no idea if its scientifically proven, but i have noticed it many times. I hope you dont get grossed out now but I could weigh myself first thing, then have some major bowel movements and weigh myself again just to see "how much I lost" and actually I gained! It just cant be possible.

I didnt really change my food choices, only cut out the sweeter fruits. Hubby went to Italy and got me some amazing cherries and they didnt show on the scale

haha! I did that just this morning!

I believe tomorrow I am going to skip my dosage tomorrow. Two days ago I skipped and I had NO hunger. So I am going to try it again. If it works that means that 125ius is too much for me. And that scares me. Dr S said everyone starts on 125.

Just to prove my point, this morning I weighed in at my "new" weight so I think yesterday´s gain was due to timing of weigh in! How did you do with hunger yesterday Shelle?

Hunger beat me yesterday And today I am very sick. I am not sure why. I took my morning dose and am now nauseated a little. I do highly suspect that since I have stopped the hydrocodones that covered up so many symptoms, I might have severe adrenal fatigue. I am looking for a specialist today to confirm or deny this. Is so I am in for a major life change.

So my plan for today is 11 protein, 2pm salad/fruit, 5pm, 2nd fruit, 7pm dinner. Any hunger between those times will be dealt with by ACV or ignored. NO EXCUSES!

Shelle--my hormone specialist thinks I am in a bout of adrenal fatigue as well. I am sorry if you are I know how it is. I just want to sleep! If there is any consolation, know that the hcg "resets" the hypothalamus which in turn resets our hormone balance system. You are doing good things for yourself by staying the course. I seem to be repeating this over here You have to trust the protocol is working, will work and will do good things. Please just hang in there. Like you said, no excuses. Do not over think things. If you overanalyze things that is when you start to make excuses.

Today is my first day of VLCDs and I am excited. Let the losing begin. I am so ready

Hi Dawn! I am so glad you popped in on this one. You answered my question immediately. I had read about the hypothalamus but didn't quite understand what it was referring to. So i am GLAD to hear that hcg is for the GOOD of this condition.

I found a dr and my appt is Monday. I will be glad to know so I have a better direction to go in for my full recovery/healing.

May I ask what you eat as your "morning protein" as I see that fruit can not be eaten first thing and breakfast can not be skipped?

I don't eat a morning protein. As of right now (1PM here on the east coast) all I have had to eat is coffee. 2 cups in fact! I eat nothing before 2PM on protocol. I like to eat later because once I start, I cannot stop! Where do you see that "breakfast cannot be skipped"? I skip it every day on P2. Once P3 hits, I have eggs and bacon. But nothing but coffee on P2.

The hcg is real good for any kind of hormonal balance. The hypothalamus controls every hormone in our body, so when that is reset, our hormones should be back in line. That is what I get out of Dr Simeons' Pounds and Inches. I could be wrong, but that is what I understand to be the premise. And the reason our new weight is at a new set point. The hypothalamus is in control of that, tries to keep everything the same.

i used to have an apple for "bfast". early on my exercise days and later on if not. I never saw anything about not being allowed to have a fruit from bfast...also see this thread about it http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/hc...breakfast.html

I was referring to the adrenal fatigue guidelines. They said, according to my research, that it is very hard on the adrenal glands to skip breakfast or have fruit first thing. Protein is what we should have.

I have no choice but to deal with this now... I am not far from being debilitated from this.

If you need protein in the morning, then I believe that buttah gave you guidelines on that. I don't do anything for breakfast but coffee, but she says her clinic allows egg whites. I would do that if you feel you have to do something. The other thing is to split your protein for the day into 3 meals. Take half your lunch protein portion and have it at breakfast. Then have the other half for lunch. Or you can have breakfast and dinner and not have lunch. Or have breakfast and lunch and no dinner. He says you can split up the "meals" as long as you don't combine them. No 2 fruits at once or 2 veggies at once is more along the lines of what isn't allowed. And keep to your allowed protein AMOUNTS. You cannot go over those that are allowed. What I have done in the past is make a chili for 2 meals, and split that into 3 for the day. It was great!!! And very filling too.

Like I said, sorry you are going through this. It is rough. Mine isn't so bad that I need to have anything for breakfast.
