I love you guys! If almost figuring it out is the same as knowing all the things I'm not willing to do, then I have to agree. I'm right there at the door of discovery. Sorry. I'm just not feeling at all hopeful. I know I will get out of this dungeon. I recall how easy it can be once you get on the track to wellness. I just can't for the life of me remember how to get there.

I feel a lot better this afternoon. I talked a long time with my sister about the farm and all the craziness going on there and also about my struggle with my weight and not knowing how to get moving in the right direction again. Our talk really helped me. She fights that good fight every day of her life, too. She pushes through it and goes to the gym and swims and does her routine of different strokes for a few hours at a time and she walks the dog (but not when it's this brutally cold out) and she has a recumbent bike in the basement.

It never gets easy, it's always a push. But she does it and it makes her happy because she knows it's necessary and that the alternative is unacceptable. I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'll get through this.

Oh ! That's so good ..... you probably needed to toss around your feelings with someone. I'm glad you have her to talk to.

Would you be able to go to her house a few days a week and exercise with her ? That might make it more fun ~~ I love to swim, does she have a pool or go to gym and swim there ?

Praying you find direction soon and have peace with your decision !

She goes to the Y, I think. Or a college? I'm not sure. She lives about 45 minutes away and her fitness level is very high. Working out with her isn't an option. I have a gym just a few miles down the road that has a pool, whirlpool, dry sauna and all the other typical gym stuff. Even racket ball courts. I like the rowing machines but I used to really enjoy using an elliptical and stair stepper. Maybe over time I can work back up to those things.

Thanks, Laura. My day was great, in a very low-key, down-home way. I never got out of my pj's and never started the car. I need days like this at least once or twice a week in order to feel human.

Sweet dreams, everyone.

It sounds like you're nearly up for the exercise part. sometimes, once we get the workouts going the eating falls in to line. Wen you're working hard at the gym you almost want to eat better, Kwim? Sometime not like I deserve these fries because I worked so hard. hope you work it out . And your sister is right, it's a constant commitment to exercise and push through the temptation to rest and skip it. But, once you've accepted that it has to become your way of life it gets a bit easier.

Hang in there!

Hi Cheryl and everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been busy.
Cheryl, I wish for you to get a hold of your weight problem. You will be so much happier if you could only figure out what you need to do to lose weight. I'm glad I found WW. I'm loving it! It's a low fat, low carb diet really. The less fat and carbs you eat, the less points the food is. So to be able to eat more I have to eat less of those things.
I've lost 6 lbs so far. I'm not hungry and if I have the points at the end of the day I can measure out some chips or something if I don't want fruit. I haven't had the urge to binge either.
Sorry, I just love WW!
Glad the bunny and Cissy are getting along somewhat. You may always have to watch them together. I'd be afraid of leaving them alone! Ykwim?
It's freezing here! Wind chills are below zero for the next few days. I can't go out in this cold. My legs get to hurting something awful. Getting a steroid injection in my hip next month. And I'm getting two nerve blocks done. One on each side of my low back. Hoping this does the trick again. Had them before.
Well, gotta try to get Chloe to lay down for a nap! She's wild today! Lol
Oh, that's dh's niece's baby with Chloe. She just loves her! She's 1 yr old.

I'm thrilled it's working so well for you, Tammy. Last time I tried the points system with WW, it just wouldn't work because I kept taking in too many points in the form of light beer or something of that nature. Didn't leave enough points for food. Also, I wanted to eat real food and just less of it to stay in my points range. Almost impossible to do. Strike two! I gave up on that WOE. WTG and good on you, though!

I have to go shower and head out for dinner. I'll bbl. Thanks for your input, ladies.

It was a snowy afternoon but I had three helpers. The two teen girls work together and jabber all the time but they do get things done and it's nice to see how much they enjoy the animals. They don't know how to sweep worth a damn, though. I have to wait until I know they're gone and then sweep again.

I set the manager up really well. I put a bale of 1st and 2nd cut hay in the grain room, put a heated bucket of water in the grain room (in case the faucets freeze. Looks like one of them already did and it has a heating coil on it.) I swept out the grain room and the area in front of the door and spread sand/salt around. I picked the stalls out cause I turned everyone in early and I put some bedding scattered on the run-in ramps (she created ramps before winter got here.)

I put a bale of 1st cut in the hay cart and put that in the barn for night check. This will be her best night check ever. I even gave the cats a can of food. Seems like I did more than that but I can't think of anything else. It wore me out, though. I had to tote that water bucket a long way cause of the faucet that had frozen. And lugging two bales of hay up that little hill made me pant like a dog.

Roads were slick on the drive home. It's a very fluffy snow and each flake seemed to glitter as it hit the ground. Sometimes winter can be enjoyable. I got home safely but had a bit of a close call. I went to slow down enough to turn onto my street and the brakes locked up. I had to go past the street, and pull through a parking lot and turn left onto my road. Thankfully no one was ahead of me and nobody clunked into my rear end. Distance between cars is the key to safe driving in this weather.

One down, three more to go.

We had a rough day here. We had a storm and it snowed and snowed and snowed! For a while we had a white out and crazy people were driving in it! I watched them put of my bedroom window. I had a nice quiet birthday. Chloe sang to me all day long. My dd was home before the weather got bad but my dh was working and was told to go home at 6:30. But he rode with someone and they couldn't get up our hill so dh had to walk up a hill in about 7 inches of snow in freezing temps. Wind chill has been -19 and will be -12 tomorrow.
What a day! I watched cartoon DVDs with Chloe all day and just relaxed laying in bed! Lol
Be careful driving! Certainly don't want to read about you having an accident.
Talk to ya soon!

BIRTHDAY???? DAMN IT!!! I hate when I miss important things. Hope you enjoyed the snow storm on your special day. We got snow but not a white-out. I was one of those crazy fools out driving in it but I had no choice.

Damn, Tammy. I'm sorry I missed your birthday. I wish I had remembered. I hope it was fun in some way and special in another way. As long as Chloe was in it, I'm sure that it was blessed.

OMG. Almost 1 am and I'm pretty "done." Will talk again tomorrow, God willing.

Off to work soon. I'm so sick of this deep-freeze we're in. I see that we slide back into the 30's around Thursday so relief is in sight. I washed my "dry clean only" coat last night but took it out of the drier after just a little while and hung it on a coat hanger. It looks like it's clean and the same size but I won't know until I go to try it on. If it doesn't fit anymore, I'm so screwed.

I'm drinking a cup of coffee but it tastes lousy. I had been using those flavored creamers and I ran out so I only have half and half and ez sweetz. It needs something to give it more flavor. Oh, well. It will suffice.

Time to go get ready. Say a prayer my car starts. It should cause I ran it yesterday but I had to jump it on Friday after it sat for a couple days, unused. (It's because of the cold, not that I left a light on. I know her so well. 14 years will get you pretty well acquainted with a vehicle.) SO ready for a new car and SO unprepared to buy one. NO money for car payments and WORSE than no money, bad credit. :/

Thanks, Debby. The sun came out right before it set so I think that qualifies as an answer to your prayer for me. Our sunsets are tough to top. The manager said they will be one of the things she really will miss when she leaves at the end of February.

I had four really good helpers and things went very smoothly and quickly. I didn't do any of the paddock clean up and didn't pick a single hoof. I did all the last stuff myself, the way I like to do. I like to be the last person to see the horses or to be in their stalls. That way I know they all had a good amount of hay and water to keep them going until she comes home and does her night check.

It was super cold up there today. I think it's cold a lot of days but everyone's cheeks were super rosy and the boys (twins) had to come in for a while and let their feet thaw. They didn't have the best footwear. But it was a good day over all.

Two down, two to go. Does that make it "hump day"? Have a great night, ladies.

I don't tend to cook when I'm completely "in the gutter" diet-wise. When I'm on track, I cook.

When I'm off-track, all I eat are easy, processed things that I can get from a drive-through, get delivered to my house, pull out of the freezer and bake or microwave, open a bag and dip into something sinfully cheesy (potato chips), etc. When I run low on money and I run out of all those things that I like to eat, it's slim pickins' around here. I just nuked two potatoes, put butter, salt and pepper on them, then drizzled some cheese sauce over them. Pretty good. Now I know what to use that blasted cheese sauce on. I bought it by accident and couldn't bear to throw it away, even though I didn't like it for the potato chip dip.

It's really bad, Laura. When I'm off, I'm way way off.

Hi Cheryl! It's ok about my birthday. Thank you. It was very relaxing. Going to the casino this weekend since it's "warming up". Lol
I'm tired of this stupid cold weather and I don't go out. I just can't bear the cold. My whole body hurts from it.
I'm super tired today. Chloe woke up at 4am wanting to know where her mom was. They both fell asleep in my bed last night while we watched a movie. Lol. My dd had gotten up and went into her room some time through the night. Chloe stayed awake for about 10 minutes and then woke up again at 8.
Tomorrow I'm putting underpants on her. That should be fun. Lord Melpomene me thru this potty training. She's so stubborn. I tried them before and it just wasn't working. Time to try again I think.
Are you working tomorrow? I cannot imagine being outside in this weather working with horses. Yikes!
Glad your car is holding up. My dh or dd starts up my car once a day for me since it sits outside. I'm taking over the garage soon. I let dh put his in since he goes to work at 3:30am this week. I'm too nice! But heck, I'm not going anywhere.
My son isn't doing well. His good friend was finally diagnosed with PTSD and is on mess for it. My son wants out. I feel bad for him. I just hope he adjusts soon. He told my dd this not me or his dad. It stinks. We won't be seeing him til late spring I think. Might wait til summer too. I don't know yet. I want to take Chloe to the beach this summer.
Well, I will talk to ya soon!
Good night!

I'm really sorry to hear about Shawn and his friend. It's no wonder that they all don't have PTSD. I'm sure that's what I've got, but nobody sees fit to give me the diagnosis. Yes, the weather has been nuts. I'm done now until Friday and by then, it will be back in the 30's and even 40's. Mud City but I will try not to complain about it. So tired of begin frozen and all the sheets the horses need to wear. And with the ground so hard and slippery, it's impossible to exercise them.

I'm so happy to have two days off! I can't even explain how happy I am. Just imagine peace, contentment and total relief and you'll get what I'm feeling.

Have a great few days. Too cute that the three of you crashed out on the same bed. Must be nice to have a close family. Sleep tight, Tammy. Tty all tomorrow.
