Here I be! Just woke up and discovered the dog had chewed off her bandage again AND picked through the trash. She never goes through the garbage. So after I fed her, the cone of shame was put back on. (The bandage just kept her dew (sp?) claw from being able to scratch her eye.) It's the cone or the bandage so since she's chewed off the last two bandages, it's the cone all the way.

So you could say that she's in "deep doo doo" with me right now. I still love her but she's on time-out. Those bandages are absolutely perfect and if she'd just leave them alone, we wouldn't need to use the cone much. But she has made her decision and I must go with it. Actually, it's lightly raining right now and it acted like a little rain bonnet!

I'm going to enjoy my day off by spending it at home. I was just thinking I go back on Wednesday but then remembered I don't do Wednesdays anymore! I go on Thursday, then I may or may not participate in the orientation on Saturday, then I begin my work week on Sunday.

I finally got my nursing license in the mail. A few years ago, the annual cost of renewal was $50, then one year they decided to double it! So I pay $100/year to keep my license at the ready. I'll never let my license lapse. I earned it and it's MINE.

Have an awesome day, ladies. BBL.

Just was texting with Tammy. She's not doing well and still needs our prayers. She's had a headache since Saturday and she feels sick. Her incisions are hurting her and she just feels like crap. She's going to call her Dr once they reopen from their lunch break and see what they have to say. She has no fever and there's no drainage from the incisions so who knows what's going on. So please do say a prayer for her.

Hey, friend! Thanks for sending out the search party for me, haha. I'm doing fine, just busy and not spending a whole lot of time on the internet. I'll go update my journal today!

Hey, cutie! I just read your journal entry but didn't reply cause I want the others to see that you checked in. Glad you came back and sorry about all the trouble you've had with AOL and forgetting your password here. You've been busy! Just don't ever forget that we are looking for you when you disappear and when you're gone for weeks, we get concerned. Plus, we don't want you to forget that we exist!

What an AMAZING day here in CT! Feels like mid-September rather than August. Only about 68 degrees, sunny, breezy and low humidity. My kind of day! Too bad I was awake almost until the sunrise and ended up sleeping half of it away. But I am enjoying what's left of it right now.

I have a follow-up Dr appointment tomorrow at 1:30 tomorrow then I work Thursday and Friday pm. We'll be back up in the 80's for those two days but they are supposed to be dry. I missed my calling as a Meteorologist.

Well, I hope you all are having a lovely day and have a great night too. I texted Tammy but she must be napping. She ended up going into the ER yesterday at her Dr's advise and they fixed her up and sent her home. It was due to remnants of the anesthesia I guess. Hoping today she's doing a lot better.

hello everyone! It was the anesthesia hanging on. I never had trouble with anesthesia before. Today is the first day I've felt awake. I only took one nap and it was a short one. I feel I've turned a corner. My incisions are beginning to itch, so thats a good sign.
We had the same weather here Cheryl. Nice and cool ! My kinda weather. Tomorrow wll be like 75*. My dd is taking Chloe to the county fair. This yr they have a zebra there! I'm gonna miss it! sheesh! I love zebras! And the funnel cakes! hehe
Oh, we are getting a beagle mix puppy. Its adorable! Shes gonna hang onto it for us til I get up on my feet and can chase it! LOL Hoping we can bring him home next week. I'll put a picture of him in my gallery.
Have to go.....ttys!

Hello! Just stopping in. On my way to read the last nine days and see what you've been up to.

Tammy, looks like you had surgery. I'll have to go back and find out about it! Glad you're recovering well.

Tammy, if you could get a wheelchair for when you get tired, couldn't you make it to the fair? I would hate to miss mine, which is coming up the weekend of the 23rd. We've never had a zebra but last year we had a camel. I love our fair.

I will try to save the puppy pic to my computer then attach it here for the others to see. (She told me she had trouble putting it into her gallery here.)

VQ, good luck reading all that stuff! Let me save you the trouble: Not a whole heck of a lot has been happening and I've been down in the dumps. Doing a lot of soul-searching and digging deep for inspiration. The End.

Night, lovelies. I'm hitting the hay now. Sleep tight. Oh! First I will try the puppy pic. Not sure how that will work out cause it's in a text and I'll have to email it to myself, save it to the computer, then attach it. You can start laughing at me now.

It won't let me do anything other than "set as." So I can't share the puppy pic. Tammy, hopefully you can figure out how tomorrow. Bless each of you tonight.

Yeah, I'm not seeing any photo albums on my control panel. Are you? That's why I had to use links.

Tay I'm so glad you're starting to feel better! Sometimes I wonder about surgery... it seems so hard on people. Hope it was worth it & turns out exactly as you hoped.

Oh my! A beagle!!! Yikes! They are one of the most hyper dogs ever, aren't they?! Love 'em though, so cute! And smart! (Mask)

So happy for you to have had a great day Cheryl.

Howdy stranger! Just popping in to see how you are. Sounds pretty good . Enjoy your fall like weather and know I'm jealous! I'm getting back to the gym, but my eating is out of control lately. If I could do some clean eating I'm surer is get some improvement. I'm stuck back up in the 160's and need to get my rear in gear!!

I think Beagles are pretty calm dogs. Now a Terrier is a hyper dog! LOL They're hunting dogs, so its good to walk them.
One thing I've noticed since surgery is my low back pain is less. One symptom of endometriosis is low back pain! hmmm I'll have to wait and see as I heal if it stays this way. Its not gone, but it sure is less than it was.
I don't have the photo gallery option either. Did they do away with it? I missed that memo! I can email you the picture Cheryl if you can put it on here for me from there. Let me know if you want to. Not a big deal though.
Today is my dh's birthday. We'll celebrate when I feel better. I'll take him to the casino. My dd offered to take him to the fair, but he declined! Thats not his thing. LOL No way can I go to that dirty fair with my stitches! That would be asking for an infection. I am gonna ask my dd to bring me back a funnel cake.....fat and all !!!! LOL I'll share with Chloe so I dont eat it all.
I've lost 15 lbs since June!!!! Can you believe it??? I'm determined to lose this weight.
Do you work today? How is Cissy doing?

I'm so glad I had it done. I don't have to schedule my life around ttom every month because I'd be in bed for 2-3 days! Every month I felt like I was giving birth! It was horrible. A whole lot of pain, but soooo worth it!

Morning, ladies.

Tammy, I went back and read to find out about your surgery. I have endo, too, and had a surgical excision of it back in 2002. (They were unwilling to give me a hysterectomy, so it was just a surgical removal of the lesions.) I had lesions EVERYWHERE, on my intestines, bladder, even some in my chest cavity, which of course could not be surgically removed.

After my surgery, I also had 12 months of Lupron injections and then six years of continuous birth control pills so that I never had a period again. Lupron suppresses all sexual hormones--they use it most often for men with prostate cancer--so it threw me into instant overnight menopause, where I remained until the injections ended, but it did the trick on the endometriosis. I never had another moment of pain again. Now that I've hit real menopause, all that suffering is just a distant memory! So hang in there--your new life free of endometriosis pain and misery will be fantastic and so worth a little bit of healing time!

Holy smokes, ladies! I feel like it's my birthday or something. So great to see all of you here today. Thanks for thinking of me and checking up on me.

Julie, it's great to see you, honey. I understand what you're saying (all too well) but you have to reign it in or you will continue the upward creep the way I have. I weighed myself today just for the heck of it (cause I ate a ton yesterday) and it's the highest weight I've had since I've regained. Once you lose focus, you stop losing or maintaining and it's all uphill from there. Am I scaring you? Good! I want to be the only one of us who is learning this the hard way.

Tammy, do send me that pic via email and I'll post it. I haven't got time to check on the albums/gallery here on LCF cause I'm working shortly so I'll try and remember to check that later. If they did away with it, my pics are now "poof." I had a few of my oldies but goodies. I guess it's for the best.

You are right about the germ factor in public places, especially public rest rooms. I guess it is good that you skip it this time. Less low back pain? That's WONderful! to your DH.

Jessica, I didn't realize you went through all of that with endo. I am thankful I never had anything like that. I just couldn't conceive, but that wasn't painful. It was just something that had to be accepted. I never was in a relationship where babies were something we both wanted so it just seemed to be for the best in my set of circumstances. I do feel I missed out on becoming a woman, though.

Laura! (And Julie) I feel both of your pain with the intense heat where both of you live. But when we're snowed in and my car is completely covered like it was last winter, you'll be having the times of your lives. Feel free to tell me how wonderful the weather is when it becomes wonderful.

Tammy! I forgot to say over your 15 lb loss! Way to kick it to the curb, cutie! That might be helping your low back pain, too. I am working today and Cissy's fine. In fact, she's exactly the way she was before the surgery. Ulcer is still there and eye is still tearing. I'm really upset that they didn't do what I brought her there for. They decided during the procedure that the cross-hatching wasn't necessary. I beg to differ.

I gotta make me another pot of coffee so I can "fuel up" before I head out for work. I think since I can't get a grip on my eating right now, I will just try something to get me going in the right direction. It might not be the lifestyle that I adopt for life but I'm going to try the "no white stuff" approach. Atkins but not as strict. Starchy veggies (peas, corn, winter squash) might be on the menu a few times a week, and if I use bread, it will be whole-grain stuff. I have to get back under 200. I have jeans that I need to be wearing in only a few short, fast-moving weeks. Right now, I can't fit into a single pair.

Have a lovely day! BBL. I was blessed by all of you today.

Why on earth are the photo albums gone? I read the sticky about them going through really old threads and deleting them but I don't recall them saying anything about photo albums. That really bites.

It looks like we can add pics to our Gallery by clicking the link to the left (under our avi) but the "albums" that used to be are no more. I might try uploading some pics later, just to see if I can. I've been going through some old pics and videos lately and I might go have the pics scanned so I can share them.

Later, gators.

Girl, you do not have to have a baby to be a woman. You definitely ARE a woman. Do let us know how you get along on the photo uploading.

I always just put my photos on photobucket and then use their link generator to link them to here. Works pretty well.

I agree, you ARE very much a woman!!!! You are not to think that way!
When I had my surgery the dr looked inside my bladder too. I guess it was just on the reproductive organs because he didn't tell my family anything further. I have to wait til Sept 18th (6 weeks) to see him to find out details of my surgery. I was suppose to go in 4 weeks, but they didnt have anything sooner.
My dad and I were talking about the beagle I'm getting and he says "they stink". Do any of you know that all beagles have a smell? I know my brother's beagle gets a strong smell. He has to be bathed very often. Just wondering if all of them get that smell.
Looks like I won't be putting pics up. Geeze. That stinks! LOL
Hope you had a good day at work.

Thank you, ladies. But the reason I said that about not being a woman if you never had a child is because having a child, you can no longer come first. You learn to put the child's needs before every single one of your own. That makes you become something that you never would have become otherwise. But thank you for your kind words.

I'm home (oops! As soon as I wrote those two words, I realized I hadn't texted my Mom to tell her I got home. She is a worry wart.) Work was fine. Lovely weather and two good helpers. All the horses got groomed and the paddocks got cleaned, all waters are pristine, etc. Thursday pm's aren't half bad! I might take them if they get offered to me again in the future.

The manager was there, which shocked me. She said she called off work because of back pain, then she ended up working the whole time at the farm. She is the kind of person who can't sit still. I have no idea how anyone lives like that. I have no trouble at all being in one place, so long as I have my computer or tv.

So at one point we were walking side by side and I apologized for having been such a B%$@#! lately. I said I'd been going through some stuff and came to the realization that the reason everything was causing me irritation is because at the core of my world, I am filled with self loathing. I had no idea I was going to apologize. It just came out so I know it was meant to be said. I feel good I told her.

The girl who left the farm for the other 40 hour per week job is finding out that it isn't at all what it was supposed to be. There's a chance she may return. Unbelievable. I feel really bad for her because I know what a difficult decision it was for her to leave and now she's stuck wondering if she made a mistake. She knows that she can return and I told the manager if she wants all her hours back (the ones I took), she could have them. I said I really need 3 days per week in order to live comfortably on my fixed income.

On the way home I went to get dog food, then hit up the gas station (that didn't come out right; I got gas!) and checked my tire pressure cause I have leaky tires and I sometimes have to top them off. Usually when I do it, it's very sunny and it's hard to read the new digital gauge I bought. Well, today it was later in the day and I could read the display perfectly. I had WAY too much air in my tires. I think I had the setting on something other than PSI and when I switched it to PSI, I had a whopping 50 PSI in one of the tires and the others were all in the 40's! They should all be 35 PSI max. I let air out and drove on to my next stop.

I need to get my power steering motor replaced. I tried just topping off the fluid but it leaks out to fast. I'm tired of how it steers in parking lots so it's just time to fork over the money. I'll call the dude tomorrow. I hope I can afford it. It might need to wait until September, come to think of it. I still have the party for Labor Day weekend and that comes before my main monthly payday. Can't get hasty.

I have diarrhea of the mouth tonight! Fingers are flying over the keyboard. I hope it's at least an entertaining read for y'all. I do my best.

Oh, yeah! Tammy, I will attempt to post the pic of the pooch now. But I wouldn't worry about it having a Beagle odor (didn't know that they had any) because the breeds are so watered-down. He's a mutkins just like my little girl. The real surprise will be when he's full-grown and you get to see how large or small he will be. I thought Cissy was going to be Cocker Spaniel sized. She's 50 lbs! Mystery dogs are full of surprises.

Okay. That's it for tonight. Must put my hands to other uses. It's after 9 and I need to eat something. I don't think I ate a single thing all day. Sleep well, ladies. Hugs and kisses!

awww thanks! Thanks for putting up the pic Cheryl ! I just did some reading on the beagle smell and all the replies I read about it say they dont have any stronger smell than any other dog. You gotta brush them to limit shedding and if the dog has a strong smell take it to the vet. It can have skin allergies or something else going on. So maybe my brother needs to make a trip to the vet! If it barks at night, it needs more exercise. Best way to house train is to use a crate. So I'm ready!
Will bring him home next week.

I'm glad you had a nice day at work. Thats awesome!

Hey Cheryl, I get what you're saying... but I think having a husband does the same thing!
Cute pup Tay. Hope you enjoy him.
I checked out the photo's thing... it says my quota is almost up. Big red bar on usage. But thanks for pointing that out Cheryl, I can now find them!
I use photo-bucket also, but can't figure out the privacy thing... what setting do you put it on to be able to share them? Mine always say private to me.
Have a good evening!

I haven't used Photobucket in a couple of years so I have no idea how you'd set it for others to view. Once I learned how to upload them from my computer, I haven't needed to use another website to "get er done."

Tammy, you said that the puppy was Beagle/Boxer (on the "known side") and that the father was unknown, right? Stay tuned! He kind of resembles a Boxer more to me than a Beagle. Beagles have very distinctive markings and features. I don't know how they couldn't know what the father was. Was the dog just roaming the streets "looking for love"?

I think I know why I never see Deer in my yard. It's cause Cisco senses when they're out there and she barks to go outside. Then she chases them off the property. The apple tree that has never had fruit for humans to eat is now full of apples. I pointed that out to the Landlady and said there was fruit this year and she said, "There's always been fruit but the deer eat them." Put two and two together and you figure stuff out.

Must find a way to sleep tonight. I've been having a rotten stretch of insomnia; much worse than my usual trouble. It's like I'm not taking anything for sleep and I know I'm taking my meds. I hope tonight I can sleep well.
