Ok this is my third attempt at journaling. It's gonn be my last. I'm a super visual person and love taking pictures. I have a wierd relationship with my food. If I photograph things I develop a different relationship with them. So I'm keep a photo journal of my food. I'll also post pictures of myself each month to track fat loss progress.

Note 1: Yep, there is still a lot of processed franken stuff on my plate. But right now I'm choosing the lesser evil of staying low on carbs by any means necessary. Anthing that keeps me out of the DQ, or McD drivethrough.

Note 2: These are not proffesional grade photos. Today I realised that with photographing food you need to be cafeful about hand contamination and cross food contamination. Next time: I'm washing my hands between raw products and I'm going to be more careful and wrap all raw products in cellophane or plastic bags before staging.

Note 3: I'm a shift worker and will try to eat every four hours of waking time. This will be both day and night shifts.

Well here is the plan for tomorrow. I'm working days and will be getting up 4am. I'm new to loading pictures so it may take a few trys. From left to right: 1 is for 4am brek, 2 is for 0900 meal, 3 is for 1200pm meal, 4 is for 1600pm snack, 5 is for 1800 supper. Not pictured is the water with all meals and snacks and tea for supper. Cocoanut oil before bed

I ate completetly on plan today. I ate all that is pictured for Fri 04/19/13. I didn't get hungry all. So day 1 of the new experiment worked!!!:newbie:

I lost 0.4lb and reached a new low this morning. I've back on the wagon since 03/17/13. So 6.4lbs in a month loss is something I can live with. I have PCOS and I also had at least 3 high carb days this month so I can't complain.:)

I have PCOS too, so I know how rough it can be... hang in there, you're doing great! 6.4 pounds in a month is definitely no small accomplishment :jumpjoy:

I like this idea....the photos gives me more perspective on servings too...thanks!
I'm new to LC, so I have to get accustomed to counting and such....

Thanks for the encouragement!!:) I was diagnosed back in 2004, LC is the only way I can keep in under control. Weightloss is just happy side effect!:heart:

Well it's a fabulous {sarcasm} endocrine/reproductive disorder. It has a lot earmarks for diagnosis. The common ones: terrible painful periods, irregular periods, cystic acne, hairsutism, thinning hair, hypertension, and in a lot cases infertility.:sad::sad:

My biggest problems with PCOS: painful periods, my gigantic fat hanging belly (another earmark for PCOS/Insulin Resistance), dark patches on my skin all over my body.

I differ than a lot PCOS peeps in that I can lose weight faster than is expected. I don't have trouble with acne or with hair thinning.

Babydoll, thanks for the encouragement. I need to add more fat into my diet but right now I just need to get started on reducing carbs.

I have eaten everything that I have planned to eat for 04/20/13 Sat. The only thing that didn't plan is 2 pieces if SF candy. They are stallers so I never eat more than 3. I only wanted 2 so I only ate 2. I'm serious about photgraphing all that eat When I eat anything off plan or high carb I'm still going to post it. This is about connecting with what I eat and not living in denial.

I went down 0.6lb this morning and hit a new low. I am now at a 7lbs loss. So far this new focus may speed things up.:clap:

I ate everything as planned for 04/21/13 no extras!!!! Tomorrow I will not be planning and I'll eat as I go but I'm still going to take pictures of all that I eat. My breakfast will be little carby but the rest of the day is going to be as low as I can go.

Been up for almost 24 hours. I say almost because I got a little sleep this afternoon. I going from working days to working nights. So I'm doing a 24hr turnaround to acclamate. The food below is for 04/22/13. Yep it's carbier than previous days. But facing a long turnaround there was gonna be more food and more carbs.

Love the photos and have to say I have PCOS too but with eating right and 2500mg of metformin a day I am winning the battle. Keep up the good work you can win this.

Thanks so much! There are so many PCOS people on this board and I'm so happy to meet all of them. :shake: My obeisity and my PCOS makes me feel isolated so posting reading helps a lot.

Thank you BecBelle - what part of Texas are you from? I love Texas and have been a few times now. If you need anything PM me I have been at this for a long time but stopped and had a gain now back at it to get that gain off.

I live in Victoria, Tx. Oh, boy I sure do know gaining weight back. I lost 33 lbs in 2010-2011 and then I put it all back on plus 9 more lbs.:sad: Yep been there done that.:cry:

BecBelle- My nephew is moving to Addison Texas this weekend for his job.

I at one time was down to 156. That is the lowest I have ever weighed and I couldn't keep it that low without feeling hungry all the time and running 4 days a week. I am hoping to get back there but don't like the idea of feeling hungry all the time.

Your food lucks great keep up the good work!

I've heard of Addison but have never been there. You are on your way back to 156 and you never know, you may find something to help you stay there. Maintaining can be harder than losing.

Well I am down 283.2. Last time I lost weight back in 09/10 this was my starting weight. So kind of a depressing milestone. I'm starting all over again. Onward ho. Tonight is I finish graveyard shift and have a 3 day weekend. I eating more food tonight cuz I got super hungry last night. Getting hungry is dangerous for LC. After my shift I'm going to my favorite Mexican resturaunt for brek/supper. The meal is going to be posted on tomorrow's food.

I slept till 2pm and am in the process of acclamating to day life again. I ate a lot more carbs, but I plan on having as low day tomorrow. I eat a lot of things in repetition so I'm posting old pictures cuz I'm not going to take pictures of the same foods over and over. Here was today.

Yesterday was a crappy day. No pictures taken and today the same story. Yesterday I was off plan but today I'm back on and doing fine. I have my meals planned out four the next for days and will be posting them.
