Good morning Monica,

great weekend except for the rainy Saturday but at least no flooding. We went sailing with a new friend and that was highly relaxing.I have been remiss with updating here but I will promise to do better. I think I was stressed as I could not sleep so my impetus to do things was greatly reduced. However last night I slept 8.5 hours and today I feel great.
Weight is coming off, although until now I did not even see it on the scale .My new boss commented that she is seeing a change in my shape probably due to flying up and down the stairs . Well, today there was a change albeit small and that with first day of TOM .
183.9 lbs or 83.5 kilos .

I will end on that happy note as I am out of time ....

Good morning !
I got upand I was down 183.5 today. Nice!
Nancy work is going good . I am doung quite basic work at the moment as it is all hand son deck ,cleaning up after builders etc. After that it will be customer relations mainly or so I think. As it is a three man band everyone is a director ( the owner a bit more so ) and a cleaner at the same time with the idea of making it grow and creating a management generation out of that initial experience.
Gotta run ..again...

And now it is exactly 20 kilos that I lost so far. For now I would say 13 more to go and then have a look .
New numbers in today are 83.1 kilos or 183 lbs.
Going to celebrate with another BPC.
Have a great weekend everybody.

Changed my WOE. While I think Epi Paleo has merit it is too cortly for me at present. There are work arounds but I just can't get enthusiastic about those options. I am still sticking to some tenets of EPI PAleo but in total it is more of a "My Way WOE" now.

Good morning .
Reasons to not weigh daily...I have gone up a kilo in spite of onplan eating. I know it means nothing but it is annoying. So back to weekly weighing. Next Saturday it is !
Other than that nothing to report. A rainy weekend I spent with housework and sleeping.
So lets hope for a successful week so we can open. The workmen are a terror leaving jobs unfinished or badly done which is slowly being corrected.

It is always annoying when the scale moves in the wrong direction, ESPECIALLY when you stick with your plan!

Housework and sleeping. Hey, I like the sleeping part. Did you have any flooding???

Good evening. No flooding Monica thanks for asking. The rain was a lot but steady not bucketing down all in one go so the storm drains coped well. First day of sun today after 5 days of clouds and rain and everyone commented on how nice it was. Long spells of bad weather are rare here.

Well,I had an entertaining shopping trip today. I went to the supermarket today and was going to buy some linseed or flaxseed . I had aleady served myself from the bin and the clerk had just put it on the scale to weigh it and I see some grains jump. Well,he priced it without noticing and I hold up the bag against the light. Well, indeedy the grains are jumping... I was reasonably sure that it was not static and told the assistant that I would not take the jumping grains after al thank you. The kid was not fazed in the slightest ( not the first time ? ) and just took it back. It was funny really but I went straight home to inspect the previous batch that I had bought which was fine. Glad it did not have an extra protein component.

Night nite folks, shattered today and I did not do all that much or at least it feels this way.

Last question before I close. What do you do if you forget your sweetner at work and are in need of a sweet dessert like hot chocolate? You boil down sf sweets in the cocoa mix....

Nite nite for definite now.

Good Sunday morning. Weight has stayed the same this week. It looks like breaking into the 170s and with that into the "just overweight" range will be a struggle. Other than that nothing to report. Feeling more hungry than usual but then again I have upped my carb limit, maybe too much . I shall see.
Have a great Sunday everyone.

What a hungry day. I have been grazing on mostly legal stuff, had a mouthful of bread to mop up my fried egg but the rest was ok. I am not quite sure what it was down to ,maybe it was just really hunger. So now I am finally sated.

Drinking my last cup of cocoa made from water, cocoa, a tsp of poppy seeds a trickle of vanilla infused vodka,a quarter of a chili and sweetener. I gave up my fight against artificial sweetner for now and am using sodium ciclamate for this treat. We shall see how it goes.

Discovery : Tail of rump is a very tasty meat. I bought it from the wholesalers for the first time this weekend . It was quite an interesting experience to go there. It is very cheap so the people queue as early as 6 in the morning. interesting because I was number 36 in the queue and by the time I got to the front 3/4 of the cow was already gone so I ended up with this new cut ( new to me) I will go again. It was tender and at $2.50 for a lb it was a steal. The normal price in a supermarket is $5 . I bought around 6 lbs of good quality meat for $12, a couple of steaks included. Pity I don't have a freezer.
I found out too that the best butchers are the ones with the longest queues.Seems obvious., but when you have a choice of 12 butchers side by side so easy to ignore.
It is not for the faint hearted though. No polystyrene plates hermetically sealed by plastic film with bar codes here....jajaja.

Very interesting too, that a secondary market has sprung up around the butcher shops. Most of the butchers are Bolivians so there is a market of Bolivian food right outside their door cooked on a grill. I have not worked up the nerve yet but any day now...

I also went to the real Bolivian market for chilis and such like . There is a Bolivian restaurant there that is so popular that they opened 3 restaurants ...side by side... and this weekend I found their fourth all within a block of each other. It is not locarb unfortunately but one of these days I shall have a cheat day and indulge.

Thank you Monica but you should see my breakfast. Without fail it is eggswith ham or salami sometimes with cheese. I do enjoy new things though but not as much as I used to. I am trying to get enjoyment out of my food but avoid kicks if you can understand what I mean. Maybe that is why I am experimenting more . I want tasty foods but I do not want any "must haves" anymore, even low carb ones.
Raising a glass of Cabernet to salute you ( proving myself wrong about the "no musthaves" ni the process )

Good morning. Well, I had hoped for more but down is down . 82.3 kilos or 181.2 today. Reason I say I had j┐hoped for more is that I feel lighter than just having lost a pound . Clothes are not noticably looser. Next week ..
Other than that nothing to report. I went to the wholesalers for our meat yesterday and I got some good pieces amongst them 2.2 lbs of steak ( bife de chorizo) which is the top steak cut here for $5 . We will try it tonight. I will let you know if it was a shoe sole or not. I cannot necessarily blame the beef though,my steak cooking skills are atrocious ...
Well raining today so a quiet day in. Wine willmake an appearance again Monica. Yesterday we had an oaked Malbec ,today will be just Malbec.
Now BPC ...yum .

Good morning,

Thank you Monica for all the times you have encouraged me on this journey. It is not over but to be honest if I had to stop now it would not be so tragic. I won't though .
I told my news at work yesterday and the figure conscious made me aware of another benefit that had escaped me. Apparently we are all experiencing a gravitational lift in the part where the back loses its good name ,),our tails in other words due to the stair running we do all day long. Basically it is a two storey unit and although it has a lift noone uses it .
Shorts this summer . We shall see .
Have a great day Monica and everybody else who reads this.

Good morning 81.9 kilos today. I had to check as all this week I have been walking the tightrope diet wise - A cookie here, a slice of b day cake there some bread with my egg ,nothing in great quantitites . So far the idea that in spring you can eat more carbs than in winter is holding up. I don't think I will tempt paleo fate though and do this every day.
Got my first sunburn this weekend ,too. Something must have changed in my body as I got tomato red on my chest but the colour just went and today I am my normal ricotta colour again lol.
Have a great day everyone.

Hello Monica,
thanks for stopping by. We might be sailing this weekend, long weekend here.
Failing that at least a BBQ on the boat. Hope you have a great weekend as well, Monica.

New weigh in today. I had to check as it is TOM time and I had steeled myself for an increase. New LOW ! 81,1 kilos or178.6. Can┤t wait for Tom to go to see if that is the final say or if I have broken into the seventies in the kilo measurements.

Nice weekend all.

Good morning. And the news continues 80.6 kilos or 177.5 lbs To be truthful I am surprised. I am not in ketosis anymore I think and I lose more than I did when I was in deep ketosis.
I wonder if ketosis is less for weightloss but more beneficial for healing the body of inflammation and rebalancing hormone output. Just a musing with my green tea, no science behind it .
In other news I am experimenting with a the real thing pizza. I made a strange base concoction of flour yeast and eggs .Of course only a touch of flour just an ounce to get that fermented tasting lift to the rest of theomelette It did not come out right just yet but I will sacrifice myself and keep trying

Well, good start to the week as far as weight is concerned 80.2 kilos or 176.6.
The not so good start is that I have been suffering from backache during the last couple of nights that magically goes when I get up ,well it does not go but reduces to a point where I could actually sleep. Hey ho.

And in other news my new old sailing capris finally fit. I hadbought them on the local Ebay thinking XL would be large .Well, not so . Today I tried them and while snug they closed and fit . A Yay moment of the unexpected kind.
