Marika - went a few times when I was younger, not been since I was 18 (14 yrs ago!). Wayne has never left the country so need to get his first passport sorted. We joke because Ruin the cat has a passport but Wayne doesn't!

Monica - I am super excited and yes, was a relief that HR seem to have got on the 'disabilty rights' bandwaggon!

I had my 'weight management' meeting today, I almost left before it had started a big room with lots of other people in it! I don't DO social situations, I'm far too much of a loner especially when it comes to things I feel are quite private but I stuck it out, the leader Bev came over and said if I just hold tight she'd get everyone weighed then we could have a chat!
There was only about 5 other people, all really nice. They weighed in and left then Bev came to see me. Took my height and weigh 91kg worked out my BMI is about 35 and explained it's a 12 week program. In that time the aim is to lose 5-10% of my body weight so 10-20lbs then I can go on and do another 12 weeks and so on until I get to my target weight. For me to lose that she's said 1500-1600 calories a day and if I have a big weekend planned, save up some calories during the week. Nothing is off limits food wise and calories in veg & salad aren't counted. I have to go each week to get weighed... kinda like weight watchers but without the extortionate cost and the faux motivation speech!

I actually feel quite positive about it! I have a couple of little booklets, one which is a weekly food diary & I get a new one each week. She says she doesn't need to see that unless I'm not losing in which case we'll review it together to see where I'm going wrong.

Oh well.... Week one, Day one...
It can only get better right?

I have to admit right now I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders

Need to try and wait and weigh in weekly instead of daily!
Managing to stick to my calorie budget (aside from 70 over yesterday) and have planned my meals today to allow for a few glasses of wine tonight.
I'm off work next week so shouldn't be as bad with the snacks as I normally am, hoping to see a loss of about 2 lbs on Wednesday then I know I'm on the right track!
xx

Planning for WINE is what I like to do as well! No eating plan will work for me if I can't figure in my WINE calories!

Lol! Exactly!
I'm currently melting 27 degrees (about 81 F) outside and we have no air con, we have a couple of fans but they just aren't cutting it so luckily food is the last thing on my mind! x

All good I think, weigh in tomorrow so I'll let you know.
Don't think I'll have lost as much as it's TOM and I feel ever so bloated

Got my MRI results back and they've put it down to musculoskeletal pain caused by muscle degradation so I've been referred to a neurologist now to test for MS! Also I've now been told that Fibro IS a progressive illness (always been told before that it's not!) so these symptoms could just be down to that - Oh joy!

Gina - I hope you get the answers to your issues soon. The unknown is scary, but dealing with something that you don't know how to fight is worse!

Took Friday off work coz still not feeling great after another rubbish nights sleep, kept waking up shivering
Saturday was very stressfull, went over to my Grandads with Wayne & Mum to clear some of the furniture out of his house so when he comes out of respite care they can fit a hospital bed in there. His neighbour has power of attorney because my Mum and I don't live locally and we are really starting to wonder if he's really acting in my Grandads best interests! The reason he's in respite care at the moment is coz he's got really bad bed sores yet he's supposed to have 4 visits a day from carers so either that's not happening or none of them are actually lifting him etc,. coz he's got in a right state. It was all very upsetting and I had every intention of drinking the slimfast shakes that I took with me but ended up having a Burger King chicken burger meal from the services on the way home then a couple of glasses of wine and all sorts of other rubbish I shouldn't have eaten
Yesterday I wasn't feeling great, we've now got rid of the heatwave and have thunder and heavy rain so just feeling generally miserable!
Supposed to be starting my college course in September doing media Make up and I can't justify the £400 it's gonna cost and really just CBA with any of it anymore...

I'm sat at work... it's raining outside and I just wanna go sit in it.. am I mad?
Sorry rant over! xx

48 weeks until my holiday.
I'm aiming to lose 1-1.5 lbs a week should have hopefully got pretty much to goal by then if all goes well. At least I know I can't give up with this because Bev (the weigh-in lady) would be ever so mad at me!

I've got a pounding headache & 3 1/2 hours to go at work....
