You are not alone in the boredom eating department!
I used to eat for any excuse..if I was happy, sad, depressed...
And..I felt the same about WW too...well said!

Good reason for getting the weight off Genie..a holiday in Cuba, now that sounds really exciting!

Danielle - Ha ha I'm a proper northerner too, my accent is somewhere between yorkshire and manchester and really strong when I've been drinking! I work on a switchboard though so manage to hide it well with my 'telephone' voice!

Emmaline - Thank you I think a lot of people have issues with food that relate to moods rather than actually 'wanting' to eat.

W has never left the country so I'm trying to convince him to go somewhere maybe just to the Med which is only a few hours flight with me some time before then so it's not such a massive shock. I've been all over even lived in Japan for 6 months and spent loads of time in the US because my Dad has lived there for the past 10 years..

Have a great weekend ladies.... xxx

Oh well, means in those 3 weeks I lost 2 lbs so lets see if I can do better on JUDDD.

Good luck with your DD too Danielle xx

Aw! Hang in there and know that this is just the starting point! Most likely it's all water as there is NO WAY you could've gained that much fat over night. Remember, lc'ing can be very unforgiving when you consume high carb stuff.. The DD will be good to help you say sayonara to that water weight!

....oh and don't feel bad, I was up too on the scale!!!

So my first DD went really well.
Target 500c & I had 482c. Its 11:30am and not eaten yet, have just crept on the scales though & I've lost 3lbs

My menu yesterday was:
L - chocolate slimfast shake
D - 2 slices wholemeal toast with marmite
S - orange & lime tictacs

4 x cups of green tea
3 x 500ml bottles of water

I'm just hoping my next DD on Monday whilst I'm at work will be as easy xx

First UD yesterday & I managed to keep within my budget (just!) Found it hard to not keep on eating.

Target: 1940c
Actual: 1928c

B - Cornflakes with 2% lactofree milk
L - 4 rashers bacon on toasted wholemeal
D - Homemade (by my MIL!) Chicken & egg curry with rice
S - 8 pepperoni slices

Started drinking lactose free milk about 18 months ago after reading about low fodmap foods. Since I've been drinking that & cut out a couple of things I hardly ever get stomach cramps anymore & I've stopped getting headaches that last a week at a time.

Feeling very positive about this woe.

xx

Been a bit of a crazy weekend, Friday was supposed to be a DD but then we had friends over and went round to another friends house - there was lots of beer & junk food. Anyway had a look through the FAQs in the books & saw one about having 2 UDs on a weekend so after discussing with W decided I'm going to do 4:3 rotations.
Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday will be DD's
Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays will be UDs.
Ok so it might make my loss slower but it will mean when we have impromptu guests - all is not lost!

Mockfest was pretty rubbish on Saturday, they'd sold too many tickets & it just wasn't organised as well as the past 2 years but there was 12 of us & we still had a good time regardless.

Yesterday was a DD
B - 1/4 galia melon
L - chocolate slimfast shake
D - 2 slices wholemeal toast with marmite
S - 6 pepperoni slices

Came in at 540c

Weighed in this morning & lost 1lb... although not been to the loo yet so that could change in my favour

I will be following your new rotations. Let me know how it goes. You have to do what works best for you!

WHat slimfast do you drink? We buy my DD11 the SlimFast 20g protein shakes. She loves them for breakfast. She has hypoglycemia like me and breakfast is the key to setting her blood sugar so it is good for the day. She won't eat eggs and tires of other protein items, these slimfast, thus far, SHE LOVES! It has made my mornings a breeze!!!!!!

I drink the ready to drink shakes I also drink Asda (Walmart) own brand ones which are called measure up, they're half the price than slimfast.

Back at work after the 3 day weekend, feeling very down today.
Tearful for no apparent reason what so ever

On a plus point it's 9am now & I finish at 1.30...
It's still sunny so fingers crossed for an afternoon in the sun

DD today and planning:

B - 1/4 galia melon
L - Chocolate SLimfast shake
D - WW Spaghetti on wholemeal toast

About 550c in total (Target is 500c)

OH I hate mornings like that. My morning is BLAH, but not emotional.

The slim fast shakes we buy for Haven are ready to drink too. Expensive but she loves them and making mornings easier is well worth the COST! 20g protein is perfect too!

I ended up at 760c yesterday so was mega surprised when I got on the scales this morning to see another 1.4lb loss - totally made up for a sh*tty day!!

My Mum came over today so we went shopping, mooching around charity shops etc,. a very nice chilled day. She's gone home now and Wayne is just cooking us chicken so we can have fajitas for tea

DD went well yesterday again, 640c (Wayne made us a lovely spaghetti bolognese for dinner!) I've stopped worrying too much about it being over 500c because I weighed this morning and another 0.2 lbs lost

Had a doctors appointment last night which I've been putting off for a fair few months, I know I've been suffering with depression but didn't want to admit it to myself or anyone else. My doctor also believes I have binge eating disorder [BED] which makes a lot of sense. Someone on another thread mentioned they'd read a book called 'Brain over Binge' which I downloaded onto my Kindle and was in tears within the first few chapters because I could relate so well it scared the hell out of me.

Anyway, my doctor has now referred me to a specialist treatment plan which incorporates dieticians, psychologists, mental health specialists and councillors I will get an assessment appointment within a few weeks and then they will look at my case on an individual basis and assess where we need to go from there.

I slept well last night for the first time in weeks, probably because now I've spoken to someone it's like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. And also the fact that I know I haven't binged since being on JUDDD which is 14 days

I'm also 0.7 lbs off the lowest I got with atkins so I'm looking forward to going below that next week x

Hi Gina,

Just popped by as you and I posted around the same time. I JUDDD too! Sounds like you had a good day yesterday, glad you had such a good experience at the doctor's. Well done on dealing with your issues- it's not easy.

Best of luck as you continue on your journey X

Lou - Hi & Thanks for reading, just been snooping on your journal too! x

Monica - I do feel I am going in the right direction now, I think admitting these things to yourself is the hardest part. I've told Wayne & my Mum but I don't want anyone else knowing about it. I know I can share on here though if that makes sense x

Gina, I totally get what you're saying about sharing stuff in these journals. I'm a bit of a privacy nut in RL so it's great to have somewhere to come and be comfortable without feeling too exposed or getting into judgement or drama.

Have a great weekend

When am I gonna learn that I should only weigh myself once a week? And especially not after a heavy weekend?

Friday & Saturday I went over my UD target by 300c+ yesterday had a fab DD only having 460c but this morning I weigh myself & weigh exactly what I did last Monday

I think I'll stick to a Friday weigh in & if I've not got back down to what I was last Friday I'll go back to standard rotations. Feeling super down about it all but still determined to keep at it x

Probably a little TMI however just had a BM & that's probably part of the reason for the scales not going down!!!

Glad to hear Genie I think we're all ok w TMI on these boards too, it's all about the body after all!

FWIW, since I came back to JUDDD, I've avoided the scales. I'm much more comfortable in myself as a result- it takes the pressure off I find. I pay attention to how I feel, how my clothes fit - especially my belts. I'm so happy to be tying my belt a notch -& sonetimes 2 notches- tighter and there's less pressure for daily results.

I'm sure I'll sneak a peek at the scales from time-to-time but it's nice to be relieved of the duty... It can be a bit of a tyrant

How did your party go at the weekend? Hope you had fun!
Have a great day.

Hi Lou...

Party was fantastic, totally exceeded my cals though my Mother in Law made an amazing chicken curry and we had far too much beer - was a fantastic night though and I actually slept through until 3pm Sunday afternoon (Totally unheard of for me!) so at least it was easy to keep to my calorie target!

Unfortunately today all I can think about is food, going to try keep my eating to meal times though which I've always found hard to do in the past.

Since deciding to do 4:3 rotations on JUDDD I'm wondering if I should reduce my calories on both my UD & DD's!
