I haven't been tracking online, and lately I've been wishing for a place where I could write down my food for the day, plus menus etc. Perhaps it would be better to track calories and perhaps I will do that one day, but for now jotting it down here is fast, easy and better than nothing!

Dinners for the remainder of the week:

Wed: Steak and artichokes
Thursday: Salmon trout and roasted cauliflower
Friday: Show day. Making spaghetti and meatballs for family gathering. Meatball over zucchini for me. Micro cheesecake after show.
Saturday: Dining out? Leftovers? Micro cheesecake for after the show.
Sunday: Marinated chicken with veggies and rice?

Sunday I will shop and prep for the following week.

Food today:
B: Coffee with cream, 1 HB egg, Cup tuna salad
L: 2 cups salad with 3 ounces roast chicken thigh; Greek dressing (1TBSP)
D: Ribeye steak, artichokes
Snacks: 6 slices pepperoni; maybe jello or hot cocoa.

I'm back. Personal crises abated, ready to roll.

Day one Binge free.

Goals for the week:

1. Check on on daily weigher thread and here, every day.

2. Plan menu/food the night before.

3. Induction level carbs.

Menu plan for the week (this is just for planning and shopping purposes. I might switch meals/nights. I might snack on iced coffee and deli turkey. I might make a LC "dessert" some nights. I'm unpredictable that way!)

Sunday:

B: eggs; coffee with cream

L: celery sticks with lobster dip (2 C per 2 TBSP)

D: Steaks and chicken breasts on the grill; salad. Rolls for the kids (make ahead "emergency protein" ground beef to freeze).

Monday:

B: omelette with cheese; coffee with cream

L: salad with grilled steak or chicken

D: Salmon with roasted brussels sprouts (peas and rice for the kids)

Tuesday:

B: protein shake

L: leftover salmon, sliced cucumber

D: Zucchini pasta with meat sauce (reg pasta for the kids)

Wednesday:

B: tuna salad, coffee with cream

L: protein shake before kids' picnic, followed by mock danish at home)

D: Orange roughy in lemon/garlic/butter/parsley (make ahead pork roast or beef roast for Thursday); cous cous for the kids

Thursday:

B: HB eggs

L: Greek salad with chicken or salmon (restaurant)

D: Roast pork loin or beef; steamed broccoli with butter; rice for the kids

Friday:

B: protein shake

L: lunch out with friends - salad or omelette

D: Dinner out with friends at seafood restaurant

Saturday:

B: Omelette

L: leftovers?

D: chicken cabbage stir fry with curry (from nom nom paleo)

Hi guys. Sorry for the long absence. I had some complications from my knee injury and ended up in the ER due to a suspected blood clot. Thankfully, it was a false alarm and I am doing MUCH better.

If nothing else, this latest fall has been a wake-up call for me in many respects. I've blogged about it elsewhere but I will cut and paste it here.

I've done ok with the eating - had to change my menu somewhat but overall not too shabby. But now I want to do a real detox/induction just to start feeling less "bleh."

BBL with a longer post. Thanks everyone for checking in - that's so kind!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I usually plan out in the morning what I am eating for the day. I have never done by the week, but that is a great idea! It would save me time for sure. I think I will start incorporating that come monday morning.

You are doing great, Greeny.

I need to set some kind of a goal for myself. The Jewish Holidays are crazy early with Rosh Hashana on September 5.

That's 4 days before I have to get dressed up. I vowed last year I would not go through another High Holiday season having done nothing about my weight.

Since I am quite heavy, and starting induction today, I think 20 lbs in 4 days is reasonable.

So that's the goal: 20 lbs down by Sept. 5. Gonna change my siggie later.

How did that chicken cabbage stir fry with curry turn out? I know you posted it a while ago, but if it was as tasty as it sounds, can you post a link? Do you have a link? I would love to try it

First, Hi, Gail! Doing ok. Taking baby steps this time, which seems to be working. I will update here shortly.

As for the recipe, I followed one on the nom nom paleo website, but we're not supposed to link it here. Just google "paleo garbage stir fry curry" and it will pop up. I use chicken instead of beef b/c it's a great way to use the breast that still has tons of flavor. It's very tasty!

Something great I read today on a low carb reddit thread:

"eat meats. eat oils. eat green stuff. don't eat other stuff. Eat when you're hungry, don't eat when you're not. Lift big heavy stuff, move around a little. We're not building the space shuttle here, so don't make it complicated!"

I'm doing well for once! Down almost 9 lbs this October. I keep meaning to write a decent post - will get to that tonight for sure!
