thank you...i did have a great birthday and a really good time this weekend.I managed to stay on plan all weekend, we ended up just going to Subway for dinner. everyone else ordered subs and i ordered a chopped salad with lettuce, spinach, green peppers, cucumbers, black olives and chicken..it was perfect It feels so good to have managed the whole "birthday thing" without going off plan at all. in the past things like that have always messed me up. I would often say.."well its a special occasion" theres christmas, easter,halloween,valentines day, thanksgiving, camping trips, family get togethers, little trips....and so on...and so many times when i would eat off plan because of special occasions but not anymore........im getting ready to go to work..working 3:30am till noon...have a great day everyone...down to 244.2 this morning

good morning....i had such a great time this past weekend ..yesterday was kind of a hard day for me..i kept wanting to munch and ate more than i wanted to ( all low carb things though) like cheese..and turkey...hard boiled eggs...all stuff that i can eat... just too much of it..I am at 245 today which is a few ounces up from yesterday but thats all.......today i was thinking about trying not to eat much...but i want to eat like this for the rest of my life so i need to learn that its okay to eat when i feel hungry..just low carb things like i have been...i will try to drink more water today though....

Eating when you are hungry is probably the key to any plan. Honestly, if I only ate when I was hungry, I wouldn't have issues.....my problem is HUNGER isn't necessary! You are doing great. Keep it up!

thank you for helping to keep me on track..i know that i need to eat when im hungry..just not OVER eat and eat low carb things. well my scales broke this morning..so i had to buy a new one..on these new scales i am down to 240.4 today..not sure how different they were from the others..but i will be weighing on these scales from now on so i have to count it..I have a doctor appt on May 1st and i will compare them to the doctors scales....having a good day today...hope everyone else is too

so um....you guys are gonna laugh at me..you know my scales that i thought were broke?? well I happened to look on the bottom and they had accidently gotten switched to KG instead of LB...it was kinda funny..so i switched them back and they work fine..down to 244.. was 245 yesterday so pretty happy with that

this picture is of me from last summer while we were camping..i had my pant legs and sleeves rolled up trying to get some sun and my daughter in law snapped a picture and posted it on facebbook along with the other camping pictures..i was horrified...i hate being fat... the scale has actually been staying right at 244.4 the last couple of days but im not getting discouraged..im not ever giving up...one day at a time..i feel good this morning..lots of energy..i think i will start logging everything that i eat here..it will help me keep on track so every night before bed i will post every thing that i ate and drank for the day....

today i had 2 deviled eggs and coffee for breakfast before work ..on break it was three slices of turkey breast with mayo and coffee.....when i got home i had a can of white tuna in water with mayo..and then 4 more deviled eggs and a diet mt dew. ...very sleepy tonight

Just stopping in to offer support, you are doing great!

I had to laugh about your scale issues...I did the same exact thing and thought it was broken.

For pictures I believe it has to come from a photo hosting site? I could be totally wrong so don't hold me to that

okay..giving up on that for now...down to 242.4 this morning..a two pound loss from yesterday also i slept so good last night..tonight after work i am picking up my grandkids and keeping them for the night...we are having a campfire tonight with hotdogs..everyone else will eat theirs on buns but i bought some sauerkraut to eat with mine. i have a bunch of clothes that dont fit me ..some are just a little too small and others are clothes that i might never be able to fight into but i have a closet full in all different sizes and on the first of every month im going to try them on ..pick out a few that fit me finally and get rid of some of my " bigger" clothes..excited about it..the first is on wednesday annd so far ive lost 16.4 lbs this month...i will log everything that i eat today before i go to bed tonight

didnt get a chance to log on last night and put down everything that i ate yesterday..so it was....coffee and 3 thin slices of hard salami and white american cheese(2cubes)....three slices of turkey rolled up with mayo / musturd and coffee...1/4 of a small ham steak and two overeasy eggs with am cheese.....1 diet mt dew....and 1 hotdog with sauerkraut...
this morning i am down to 240.4..another two pound loss from yesterday ..and i feel great...18.4 lbs so far this month...my husband still hasnt noticed so things are still going smoothly for me here at home...no one else has noticed yet either but im a big girl and it will take me losing probally a lot more weight before it really shows...also i tend to wear bulky sweatshirts a lot when im not working.....i plan on having a wonderful day ill log my food for today before i go to bed tonight .

yesterday was ham with scrambled eggs...white tuna in water mixed with mayo..and just ham for supper...2 cubes of american cheese...and three cups of coffee.
I'm up early as usual..have to be to work at 3:30....I have been doing really good not eating much of the bacon at work..am thinking that it might have a little sugar in it..will eat something else on my break and gonna try for a no cheese day today....am down to 240.0
I am starting to really feel the weight loss in my belly...my fat there was hard and solid but now it is like water ...i guess that might sound weird but i know everyone here will most likely know what i mean. I am feeling really good this morning and im hoping for a good day at work..

thank you both today is the last day of the month..in April I lost 18.4 pounds..im very happy with that ....Ive been thinking about it and it really doesnt bother me that no one has noticed because..IVE noticed...and I'm doing this for me and not to please other people. yesterday was a good day..ive been staying right around 10 carbs a day..i did have some oysters with butter which was a little high..well it only had 4 carbs in what i ate so its still not bad..tonight i had steak tips with butter for supper...0 carbs for that but it feels heavy in my stomach so we will see what the scale says tomorrow..think im going to bed early tonight...i could use a couple extra hours of sleep...hope you are all having a good day

Down to 238.2 this morning...feels good to be out of the 240's. I had a drs appt yesterday my blood pressure has been high the last two times i have been to see her and she wanted to start me on meds for it but i told her i didnt want to.....I told her that i was eating different now and losing weight and to give me a few more months and see where i am then.....just one more of the many reasons why my weight lose is so important to me...me and my DH were not getting along very great last night..hopefully ill have a better day today.

good morning..yesterday was kind of a hard day for me..I have one sister and one brother..i dont get to see either one very often but yesterday my sister ( who is older) came to visit..it seems that my mom has told her that i was doing Atkins and she is VERY much against it...telling me that my brain can only function on carbohydrates ...and that my body was now taking nutrition from anywhere it could get it..even from my heart..saying that i was losing not only fat but muscle..that i was just gonna gain all the weight back and that Atkins was a yoyo diet...and she went on and on ..it was awful...but i BELIEVE in this WOE....i feel good..my body feels better and i feel better about my self..no one can break me.. I "BELIEVE"...and so i decided to make a signature and use that word as one of my inspirations...thank god i have you all as support...we can do this...just believe

YOU CAN DO THIS! Honestly, even your sister has no right to try to tell you how to eat. Meat/Veggies with no processed crap, how can that be BAD??? Stay the coarse girl!

You ARE strong, You CAN do this. Like Monica said, your sister doesn't really know what she's talking about. My doctor even says that she knows a lot of cardiologists that recommend this way of eating to their patients. I would politely recommend that she completely read the 72 version of Dr Atkins Book and gather all her facts before discussing it with you.

thank you both so much...I am staying on course..I went camping over the weekend and even though i ate a little too much..i stayed on plan and feel really good about it..had a great weekend and am ready for the week...hope everyone else had some fun this weekend..ill write more in the morning just wanted to let everyone know that i was still here and havent posted the past few days because ive been away...right now i need sleep..lol...i am TIRED..gnight everyone

good morning..down to 236.8 this morning ....one thing that i love about this woe is that no matter what the occasion there is always something that i can eat and most people wont even notice that im doing Atkins...camping this weekend was a success..i went to a baby shower yesterday and had veggies from the veggie platter..and ham and cheese ..and a deviled egg...ive lost 22 pounds in 34 days...feeling great....and sleeping much better
