Today's plan went almost as planned. While cooking dinner, I got hungry, so I microwave a grilled chicken breast that = 0 carbs. so proud for finding a snack that worked. Dinner had lots of cheeses - chicken parmesana, so I didn't want to eat any exra cheesesince I am officially on induction. Wow. Ive never been on induction.
Tomorrow, I will do a 35 minute step workout. Some people on the March Challenge board workout while on induction and are having great results. so, since I do better with food when I work out, I will try it and see. It's hard to believe I kept carbs under 20 today. I did add an extra cup of coffee with creamer and splenda and greenbeans at dinner, but that altogether for the day = 19. Yeah. Will see what Ms. Scaley says tomorrow. I call her Ms. Scaley cause she stinks like last week's fish if I don't see what I like. ![]()

The only thing I've ever called my scale is a liar.
Great job, keeping carbs under 20. Do you count total or net carbs? Cheese has always been my weakness - and nuts. I can pass by the sweets and desserts with ease, but I can't stop stuffing my face with cheese! You're so close to the 170's... |

Thanks Jinny. Sweets are my down fall, but I'm holding strong.
Today's weight 180.4. Knock, knock, knock 170s, let me in. The workout was a little hard at times. My resting heart beat was up as well. This is probably due to a sporadic workout sessions. It should inprove as I figure out what wiill and wont work for me. |

OMG! 178.0 today
! I havent seen the 170s since sept. Induction is my friend. I sort of knew working out yesterday would make me hungrier. And it did. I knew I was serious about 'making' induction work when I did get hungry 2 hours after lunch, I pulled out a small bowl of a cut up chicken breast and just ate it, then on the way home, I got hungry and pulled out my porkrinds, then after dinner, I was still hungry, I ate some sf jello and an induction approved Atkins bar. That did it. I went to bed very late, and altho I was a little hungry, I didnt eat anymore. I was able to stay busy and ignored it. Whereas, earlier I couldnt ignore it. All the information I've been reading from the boards really helped me stay he course and adhere to the program. Onward and downward! |

Wow, another pound gone. And I feel great. So today, I'm happy to say I weight 177.
That's 4.8 in 4 days of induction.I rememember eating a tsp of CO as I walked out the door with my bag of porkrinds thinking, You're crazy Reta. Then when I got off the scale this morning, I thought, crazy aint so bad. ![]() I do plan on working out this week, but schedule won't allow it til Tuesday. Someone noticed I don't eat very light carbs, and I simply said, They are not good for me. And walked away. It's just amazing. I think the best thing about this woe is that I havent craved any sweets. I want to put strevia or truvia in my coffee, but now it's not worth that carb. I will save that carb count for later, or simply be well below 20 today. planned menu: coffee with co and hwc 2 eggs, mayo hamburger, a few porkrinds chicken and veggies Magnesium pills |

Laura![]() 177.4. Today, I'm up .4. And thanks to all I've learned here, I know exactly why. I had two doses of Benadryl, a few nuts, not enough of the right kind of fat and beef tips in some kind of teriayki sauce yesterday. I should be headed back downward on tomorrow. Not bummed at all. I should have ordered a regular steak with minimum seasons or a fat hamburger. I'm learning, aren' I? also, I was hungry when I went to bed. That let me know I had gotten some unexpected sugar or crazy carbs in my system. They won't get me today, though. Today's menu should be coffee with co and hwc small atkins bar bacon and eggs (from ihop or waffle house) porkrinds beef tips recipe from here, with small veggie lots of water Magnesium pills before bed Last edited by Reta; 03-11-2013 at 03:35 AM.. |

Many recipes exist, it's usually coconut oil, almond butter and regular butter melted together with some sweetener. If you search the forums, you'll find many variations. It's very high in fat, so even a little bit of it will keep you full for hours, and coconut oil is very beneficial for you.
I will be making these soon. Today, was stressful and busy. coffee with hwc and co eggs, sausage and bacon from ihop porkrinds, diet sprite double whopper with cheese and veggies without bun evening weight 178.8 Will be working out tomorrow. woohoo |

Gotta love fat bombs. I don't even sweeten mine. I think I lose faster when I add them in the mix, plus they're yummy. Win-win!
Enjoy your work-out tomorrow |

I decided to up my carb count to at least 18 today. I read somewhere that on induction, keep veggie carb between 12-18. That wlll help with bms also.
So veggies for lunch were 5 and dinner were 8 well that's higher. I'll do better tomorrow. |

I think that's a good idea. I keep getting into the rut where I think lowering my carbs is better, but I also know if one of my meals is one big fat salad, I will lose weight. I don't unless I eat that salad. I doubt a meat and egg fast would work for me because of this! It sounds like you are knowledgeable in your food though!

Man, 178.4. What is going on? Okay, changes I will make today.
workout - I did today, felt better than last time. only 30 min easy on the hwc - I enjoyed it in coffee and cooked with it last night up veggies - no changes needed here stay under 20 carbs - Im sure I am. I am very careful in this department This is frustrating. |

I think it's normal to hit a low and then go back up. I predict if you keep on doing what you've been doing, it will go back down. It works exactly this way for me. I know it's frustrating.

Nothing but meat, eggs, a little cheese and butter today cause I'm back to 178.4 today. Carbs will be really low today. No workout though, but I'm going on an 8 mile hike with hubby tomorrow.
I just love how I can see sweets now and say, 'no, thanks, I just don't want none." This is what LC will do for you. |

7:46 am, I just finished a step workout and added some Tabata trng on the end. I was winded at times because of lack of exercises since I started LC. I've got to figure out a way to do them both because they both are important to me. I burned 890 calories in 60 minutes. I feel very good. Don't know if the working out will stall me, but I can't live without exercising. I'd rather be a big girl than a weak girl. I will probably have to add in more carbs to sustain.
