Ashamed! Back again!
Well, I'm gonna try it again. WOW, if only I would have stayed on it. Anyway, I've got the hardest part behind me. 2nd day of induction.

Well, made it through first 3 days. To me, the hardest is behind me if I'll only stay motivated.

Find something that will motivate you to stay the course. Is there a special event that you are looking forward to attending feeling healthier and strong? I know that recently I got tired of feeling like a stuffed piece of sausage in my already tight jeans so that made me say "enough is enough!" You will find the motivation because you got back on track. Hang in there, we are all along for one big ride to getting healthier.

No shame, you made the right decision to come back. You're taking control, which is empowering!
After a low carb break, I am starting day 4 of induction. Here's to much success and to getting back to feeling great! ![]() |

No shame - it often takes a few tries before something clicks! I'm a newbie myself but what I'm doing in terms of motivation is thinking of short-term things that motivates me and then longer term things. I mentally go to them several times per day. You can do it!

WOW! I'm amazed at some of the other journals. If they can do it surely I can stay motivated to get to my goal. Sometimes you just think it is too big an obstacle and then give up. I've dieted 1000's of times with no success. MAYBE, just MAYBE this will be the one that counts.

Congrates on Stepping up.
I had great success back in 2000 (-84 before I got stuck), also before I got sick. It is what it is. The interviening years have not been easy. I found I am metabolically challenged... Atkins 2002 didn't work for me so I am back on the 1972 plan... at too near my previous high weight. I've made the first week, through the cravings... weight coming off. I'm just happy to see the numbers going down. My clothes were at the next size point & now they are not. Hope to see you around. It is hard to stick to any plan... day after day... we need to find non-food rewards. Russ

I bow to all of the success stories. My prayers are that within 6 months I can encourage someone to hang in there, forget what everyone says of this CAN't BE HEALTHY!! WOW, so many success stories as I read throughout the forum. Thanks to all, Griz |

Good for you! I am on round two as well. Remember, (and this is what I tell myself) you didn't screw up and gain the same pounds overnight. It took many days of bad choices to gain back part of your loss. So every morning i repeat the same thought mantra that says, "focus on today." i am determined to catch myself before I suddenly find myself lamenting a month of lazy eating. One swig of OJ absolutely counts (though this was one of the rationalized habits I let myself slide into last fall.)
