Thanks, Maggie. Yes, I always get tripped up in Phase 3 and have never been able to stabilize. I am going to do my best to stabilize this time!

12 days to go...

03-17-13; VLCD 27; 191.4 (+1.0)
03-18-13; VLCD 28; 191.6 (-0.2)

Busy weekend and it went by too quickly. I almost got into the 180's, but I guess my body wants to hang on to this number a while longer. 191 was always a set point for me and it seems to take a while to push through.

Hopefully, I'll push through this week, since this is my last week of hCG.

C'mon 180s...

Week 1; (-9.0)
Week 2; (-2.6)
Week 3; (-.4)
Week 4; (-4.2)

03-15-13; VLCD 25; 192.2 (+.8)
03-16-13; VLCD 26; 190.4 (-1.8)
03-17-13; VLCD 27; 191.4 (+1.0)
03-18-13; VLCD 28; 191.6 (+.2)
03-19-13; VLCD 29; 191.4 (-.2)

Well, I'm afraid this is going to be a fight to the finish. As previously noted, 191 is a set point for me, and my body is having a tough time accepting the fact that we need to get into the 180s and stay there within the next 8 days.

I am going to eat all of my food today -- including both fruits (but no bread sticks). Usually, when I push the envelope and eat every ounce of my allowable foods, I have a slight gain and then experience a release a few days later.

So close to the 180s...

Week 1; (-9.0)

Week 4; (-4.2)

03-18-13; VLCD 28; 191.6 (+.2)
03-19-13; VLCD 29; 191.4 (-.2)
03-20-13; VLCD 30; 190.8 (-0.6)

I forgot to take my hCG injection yesterday morning, so I dashed home and took it about 2:30 p.m.

I didn't get to eat hardly anything yesterday, it was so busy at work. I only ate 1/2 apple and 2 ounces of sliced deli ham. For dinner I had 4 ounces of cauliflower, 1 packet of hCG-approved chicken bouillon (bought from my doctor's office), and 1 ounce of shrimp.

The soups are 60 calories each, with high protein. If nothing else, I will try to get in soup soup today while working, if today is as busy as it was yesterday.

We are all different. Embrace it.

Well, I suppose I managed to honk off a few good people here on these message boards, without intending to.

So, since I don't follow Simeons' Protocol to the letter, I only think it fair that I don't play at that playground any longer, so I took my marbles and now am in search of a new playground, where people aren't put in their place for counting calories, as my doctor told me to do.

*sigh* Deep breath. No more crying.

I have just a few more days on Stage 2 (even though the same people told me not to call it that, but my doctor's booklet here calls it that), and I will just post here until I am ready to go to Stage 3 and, hopefully, find a home for 3 weeks.

Or...what if...and here's a thought...I can make a new thread just for me for Stage 3.

I just may do that.

Onward...

You can count all the calories you want on your own journal. You can call is stage 1 or stage 3 if you want to on your own journal. Lots of Simineonites get "snarky" so I don't even bother responding to there ignorance and just drive on and fly my freaky own flag. I trully hope no one had you in tears, they should know better. Believe you me even if you put a smiley face and respond to some on here it still gets taken the wrong way, what's a person to do. JOURNAL! It's your journal and if someone doesn't like what you say than don't respond right? I am sorry you have had such a hard time today. Have a nice night and weekend.

Oh, thanks, Maggie! It's wonderful to have support! That's why I chose these message boards in the first place. I truly did choose the incorrect forum to post in for my P2, however, since the name of it is P2 Simeons Protocol (even though it was pointed out by some posters within the thread that P2 was never uttered/written by Dr. Simeons...go figure).

Water under the bridge. It's a new day. I need to find a rouge forum for my P3. Do you know of a good one?

Yesterday was stressful, so I didn't eat much. I've got a lot going on lately and some are life changes:

#1: our sons -- aged 26 and 21 -- are moving out of our house here in Ohio, and moving across the country to Arizona. Our daughter already lives there with her Aunt. All of the kids wll be there and, well...we will be here. :(

#2: I have a class to pass and had a goal date of the end of March. The class entails writing 4 separate papers on microeconomics. I've only written 1 paper and don't think I'll meet my goal by the end of March.

#3: My boss is becoming more and more surly and I'm going to have to have a "Come to Jesus" meeting with him to let him know that I don't appreciate being talked to like I'm an incompetent teenager.

All week this past week I thought Easter Sunday was today, so I took my lunch hour on Wednesday to buy Easter goodies for everyone at home. I felt foolish to realize that Easter Sunday is next Sunday.

Going to get ready for church now.

Two more VLCD days (today and tomorrow). I must admit that I am looking forward to having eggs, cheese, cream in my coffee, and peanut butter on my apple (which I've never done before in P3, but am allowed to!).

This is a sample P3 menu from my doctor's office:

Breakfast
1 egg
1 grapefruit

Mid-Morning Snack
1 apple
1 TBSP peanut butter

Lunch
Chicken breast
Green beans
Salad
1 TSP regular dressing

Afternoon Snack
Nuts
Strawberries

Dinner
Fish
Cauliflower
Small salad
1 TSP regular dressing

All of that will add up to approximately 1,500 calories. My doctor and dietician told me to not eat all of the fruit allowed and to stay around 1,100 calories the first few days of P3.

Good Monday morning to you!

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling somewhat down about your sons moving away. I know how you feel but mine only moved out of the house and yours are moving out plus moving out of state.

Whoo Hoo on making it into the 180's, I knew it would happen.

Your Stage 3 or P3 menu sounds solid and very doable and I like the peanut butter added to the menu.

You have done well this round and look how far you have come, you should be so proud of yourself!

I don't know how I got my days mixed up, but today is actually my 37th day of VLCD, and my 39th day of Round 6. Thus, tomorrow is day 40 of this Round, and day one of P3.

I've lost 21.4 pounds for my VLCD P2 of this Round. That's pretty good, considering that I've got 15 pounds of excess skin that needs to be cut off (per two surgeons' opinions). So, since I'm supposed to weigh 150 for my stature, if I take 15 away from my current weight, I'm really only 22 pounds from goal.

When I lay down at night, my hip bones and rib cage stick out and I can easily count my ribs. My face looks very thin, but not gaunt.

Maggie, I have to get ready for work now, but will reply to you once I get there.

Yes, I am sad about them moving so far away. But I have to trust that they will be okay. We all have our own journey.

I am excited to start P3 this morning as I sit here sipping my coffee with 1 teaspon of HWC. Tastes so smooth!

Thanks for your support, Maggie!

So, here I am, sipping my coffee with 1 teaspoon of HWC, starting Day 1 of P3 -- Stabilization!

According to my booklet, my "last HCG weight" is my weight from this morning. So, I need to stay within 2 pounds of 186.2.

This is the lowest I've ever weighed in my adult life.

I'm excited!

You're doing great! Wow only 22 lbs. to lose to reach your goal of 150 lbs. that is awesome. I know what you mean about hanging fat, so the surgeons actually said it is about 15 lbs. of it that needs to be surgically removed? I will have to have this done if I can ever afford it. I do have hanging skin but it seems you might be much taller than me. The 180's are really the first time in your adult life that you ever weighed this? Wow, you certainly must be celebrating that milestone. I am sooo excited for you and cheering you on to stabilize in P3. I am only 5'2 so you can see that being 250 lbs. at one point in my life was killing me. I will be finishing P2 tomorrow and will have my last dose of hHcg and then I will do 2 days no hHcg so we will see where that brings me. Congratulations of a successful round. Have a wonderful Thursday!

Yes, I received a quote from two separate surgeons, and one said 15 pounds of skin and fat, and the other said 12.

Yes, I am tall at 5'9" and I have a size 13 shoe. I'm a gal with a large stature!

Yes, the last time I recall weighing 185 was when I was a teenager and in 10th grade. So, that wasn't my adult life, I suppose.

I am using my first day of P3 weight as my stabilization weight, and not my last injection weight. I had to look and look in my doctor's booklet for that bit of instruction, as I was confused on that issue, but I finally found it! I don't use my last injection weight. I use my first weight of P3. So, I will stay 186.2, plus or minus two pounds, for P3.

Thanks for cheering me on, Maggie!

Staying well within my 2 pound-window.

Eating more protein and, thus, more fat.

I need to drink more fluids, however.

I'm at the top of my 2-pound window, despite eating less than 300 calories yesterday, and not eating off-plan.

I'm not going to worry about it. It is, what it is.

Time to get ready for church. He is Risen!

I'm an idiot.

My stabilization number is 186.2 and I weigh 187.2 today.

Uh...that's only ONE pound up. Not two.

Get it together, SkepticalMe. Get ahold of yourself!!

I ate a lot of food yesterday (773 calories and 24 carbs), but the number on the scale stayed the same. This is awesome! I do believe that I will stabilize this time.

As always, however, the skeptic inside is telling me to eat the same things today as I did yesterday, and see what the number is tomorrow. Tomorrow is always a good indicator of what today's choices are.
