DD today and it's Saturday.
I feel anxious already...nothing new for me .
I need to find the inner calm.
I'm think a walk with DS, we have graduated to the wagon so I'll get some arm work in as well.
Pissed with the scale this morning up .8, I really need to let this go, the scale will not define me
I dipped my foot into calanetics last night, I was able to get half hour in, with DD right by my side, so it can work for me if I can manage 30 minutes under those conditions. I am feeling my arms this morning I think this will be workable.
Need to find me some peppermint oil today. I've already hunted for Vicks Vapo rub but I have none!
I will make this day count. I will concentrate on finding the inner calm. I have some yard work to do today as well so it will be nice to be outside.
Laying off the coffee today- does not help with the inner calm.

Monthly Totals so far.

2.75/12 - Walking
.5/12 - Calanetics
0/6 - Escarpment Stairs
1/0 - Biking

B-tea with milk
L-Cucumbers and tomatoes
S-broccoli, cucumbers with rice vinegar and salt (whole bunch of broccoli and atleast 1 english cuke)
D-2 cups kale (120 cals) with Braggs Aminos and spaghetti squash (1/2 a medium one) could not finish this dish probably due to the tonne of veggies above
S-1TBSP peanut butter (100)
I think it comes in less than 500 cals. I need a battery for my scale.

Hi Hope,

Sounds like you're nailing the DDs -& getting lots of veg in too- well done
I really admire your exercise habit... It's one of my goals for my May-June challenge and I need to really get started. I find it so easy to make excuses with my little ones about so I'm inspired that you are managing with yours

Hope you have a great UD today.

Thanks Lucky Lou . Love the support.

Here we are with another DD today! Cant believe I am up 2.4 since starting JUDDD again. I think I went overboard last DD with the veggies, so i am going to reign in in today. I have upped the protein so hopefully I will not be snacky. I will see how this goes , it's all i can do. I was 142 in November .

Hope - so how do you fix your kale? I tried some yesterday sauted with garlic and mushrooms YUCK! Even my DH wouldn't eat it and he eats ANYTHING! I bought a big bag of kale because it was only $.99 Now have no clue what to do with it.

Not sure how you are approaching JUDDD, but it doesn't matter WHAT you eat, it's all about the calories. Even if your DD is all veggies, if the calories are in line, it's all good. Go to the JUDDD board and search for The Scale does Bounce! It's a thread about how JUDDD the scale bounces around a LOT and that is normal. I personally only weigh once a week, if not, sometimes once every other week. True JUDDD is calories only. Are you getting in all your UD calories?

Hey Monica

My kale is frozen, came from Costco. I saute in garlic, Braggs aminos then add crushed peppers...which makes it nice and spicy, along with salty. I have never cooked with fresh, just juiced fresh kale, which I like as well.

I did not weigh or measure the veggies last DD so it is very possible that I went over my 500 cals But a 1.4 pound gain no I do not eat that many veggies .

Today is going better I am having protein and I feel much more satiated. Hopefully I can carry this through the rest of the day.

Today's DD has been great! No anxiousness. I fueled myself with protein. I had 2 ptero pills on Monday and I skipped those today. No headache either, I don't think I will take them anymore.

This is how the day ended up:

B-coffee with milk 40cals
L-2 eggs with feta - 270 cals
D-Salmon Patty, 2 cups romaine lettuce, vinegar and mustard - 170
440 cals

I have juiced veggies . Pineapple, carrot and kale is a wonderful juice! I always add some fruit for sweetness. My DS 13 had foot surgery 2.5 weeks ago. I made him juice daily. I just wanted to up his nutritional intake. He had this same surgery last October and ended up with a bad infection. I know his sugar intake is too high for my liking. So just to be on the safe side we practiced no sugar and no processed food. I have eliminated his "Frosted Flakes" for breakfast and replaced with a smoothie or eggs. I let him know I will not be buying that "poison" again. At least it is one area where we have worked together to create positive change. I am so happy about it. The latest smoothie is banana, 1/4 pineapple and yogurt and a bit of milk so it blends nicely.

Monica your son is doing great with JUDDD - I think it is so important to help our kids live and lead healthy lives now so they can carry that forward into adulthood.

Great DD yesterday. Biked, did callanetics.

Looking forward to a good day today. I've got the Maytag guy coming for the washer, then at least an hour walk in the sunshine by myself this morning/afternoon. I am looking forward to the sun shining on my head, listening to tunes and having some solo time!

The eats...
B-3 eggs, feta cheese, cream in coffee. 346 cals
S - Banana, peanut butter - 300 cals
L-?
D-

2.75/12 - Walking
1/12 - Callanetics
1/6 - Escarpment Stairs
1.75/0 - Biking

How is your DS doing? What's up with all the surgeries?

I hope my DS14 keeps going. He follows religiously and counts everything. There have been a few DD's where there were plans and he was out or with others for dinner. When those happen, he fasted all day and then ate within reason. So far, so good!

I can't do those juices! I am not a juice type person anyway. I never drank any fruit juice and I barely like any fruits. I'll let you have your fruit/veggie smoothies! How healthy for you!!!!!!!!!! Wish I could, I just can't even imagine it! I'm a DORK!

Monica - DS14 has flat feet. He had a procedure done called hyprocure. We are well pleased with the results!

DD today...and not a great one in terms of calories.
B-coffee with milk 34
L-3 oz salmon with romaine 225
D - 3 oz salmon with romaine 225
S-Cheddar -260
I'd say 100 extra calories trying new things bought at the grocrty. Pumpkin seeds, fruit nut bars etc...but I stopped!!

So about 844 cals for a DD. Not a disaster, but not the day I was hoping for! I did get a walk in...45 mins, but too tired at the moment to do a callanetics workout!

Thanks Lou .

Okay so I need to set some intentions for myself this week.

What actions will I take?

1. Big Ass Breakfast - M,W,F - This morning I had two eggs with cheddar, 3 pieces of bacon, then a whey protein shake with almond breeze, PB2 and a little stevia to sweeten, oh and not to forget the 35% cream in my coffee. Hopefully this will tide me over till dinner. We are out for dinner this evening for little bro's birthday. I imagine I will have a salad of some sort along with a piece of cake.

Not sure what to do with BAB's on DD's?

2. Callanetics - I need to try harder in this area. Funny thing is I enjoy the workout - so I need to schedule when I am going to do it! So Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday it is!

3. Walking - keep this up. I am enjoying it.

4. Steam clean carpet in sunroom - this is a workout that's why it's going here

I need to get the calendar out and stay focused on life. Sometimes my focus is so targeted on food and woe(ing) that /i let everything else slip.

Interesting, were his feet debilitating? My son has flat feet as well, but has never had any issues. Just curious!

You know, sometimes 844 on a DD is a huge success! You kept it a DD girl!

Monica

He was walking on the inside of his foot. It turned out severely. This developed over time. It was putting pressure on his knees, hips and back...and he was generally crooked! The ortho surgeon said he could break the foot and place the arch but there was a 50% chance it would fall again. yeah, no thanks. When I found hyprocure, which is a relatively new procedure, I knew we were on to something. DS13 is delighted! He might even be able to pedal a bike this year! This is huge, especially cause Mom and Dad are avid recreational bike enthusiasts!

OH WOW Hope, thanks for all the info. My son, we call him platapus when he walks in our room his feet suck up and slap down.... but in no way has it stopped him from doing anything. Now a runner, he will not or ever be!! Other than that, he was always able to do Football, baseball and such, oh and riding a bike!

Hi Hope! When I was following LR, my DD breakfast usually consisted of baked white fish (cod, haddock, sole) and HB egg whites or turkey meat as it is also low in calories. The white fish is only 25-30 cal per oz and about 6 gr of protein per oz. So if you get 8 oz it came to almost 50 gr of protein. I think it is smart that you allow yourself to go higher on DD calories. On DD about half of your DD calories will be filled at BAB.
I am sure you will do great on it. Best of luck!!!

BAB is great, it really keeps you full for few hours. The problem I had with it was I was not ready for lunch till around 2 or 3 PM and then it was too late to have dinner. I usually like to be done by 5 or 6 PM with my last meal. I was kind of stressing over the 4-5 hrs no eating window.

I'm finding I like the stretch with no eating. DD's I do breakfast and dinner. Dinner here is around 6, sometimes 7. On UD's in addition to BAB I had two boiled eggs for lunch then a bigger dinner. So far so good.

Hi Monica

I'm in slow 'mo today.

It's an UD.

I had a protein shake for breakfast. Not the best choice. But I like the convenience. I've been "shaking it" quite a bit this week, on UD's and DD's. It's nice not think about "what" to eat sometimes, especially breakfast when trying to get 50 grams of protein.

This mornings weight 152.6.

Hormone Hell? Not in the the game past 3 days. Days 19-21 of my cycle. Too much Strongbow Cider and BBQ. Yesterday was a complete fail with a Blueberry Fritter for breakfast, followed by afternoon beverages hanging out in the garden - then ordered Chinese cause I could not be bothered with cooking.

Feeling like crap about myself this morning.

Whatever I'm doing is not working. I was 145 at the beginning of April. I am on a new regime with the bio identicals and supplements. Feeling so frustrated and summer is here. Celebrating the first long weekend this weekend....blah!!!

Ok. Stop!!! What will I do today to make things better? BAB breakfast this morning. Protein shake with at least 50g of protein and limited carbs.
