I am excited to be going down again and do not look forward to upward fluctuations on the scale. The great thing is my clothes are fitting better.

I still have to check into this compression top thing. I gathered from a discussion on another board that this isn’t just a regular tank top. I wear tank tops under my clothes all the time. I will have to get recommendations. I wonder if they are very expensive.

I am travelling for business in about 5 weeks and would love to get something like this to wear with business attire!

I had some broccoli and zucchini in the fridge last night and decided to experiement with a casserole. It turn out great! My teenage BOYS (I know this isn't saying much, they will eat anything) LOVED IT!

Anyway, I'm putting the recipe here for future reference.

Cheesy Broccoli/Zucchini Casserole

2 cups broccoli, shredded (This was two crowns and stems)
2 cups zucchini, shredded (This was two medium green zucchini squash)
8 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup heavy cream
6 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 to 1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Shred the broccoli and zucchini with a food processor, then put them in the microwave covered with plastic wrap with about 1/4 cup of water on 5 minutes (just enough to begin softening it up). Soften the cream cheese in the microwave about 40 seconds then blend in the cream. Add 4 oz of the cheddar cheese and microwave on high about 3 minutes, stirring at each minute. Added the broccoli/zucchini mixture and fold until mixed with the cheese mixture. Spray a 9/13 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour the mixture into the pan. Sprinkle the garlic salt, salt and pepper on top before baking. Bake on 350° for 35 minutes, until brown and bubbly on top.

Well the above recipe made for dinner last night and couldn't resist having it with my grilled pork chop. So up 1 pound, but I expected it. That made it a little easier to swallow.

Posting for history's sake:

Storytime: Last night my daughter (8 y.o.) said she wanted to find a hobby and she wanted me to teach her to sew. I offered croqueting and cross-stitch, which is what I know. So, I went to the closet and dug out all of my old stuff. Mind you I have not touched it since I was pregnant with her! I let her go through my cross-stitch books and find a small simple pattern. We got her started and she seems to be catching on well. The other interesting aspect is this; I had 3 blankets that I had started croqueting and all were unfinished! I finished one last night! YAY! I have decided to send it to my grand-niece for her 1st birthday. I also hope to finish another one in the next week or two (another baby blanket) for my best friend’s son. The third one is a king size afghan I started for myself and my husband. I have found my love for croqueting again and it was quite relaxing.

Here is a pic of the one I finished last night:

OH that is awesome! My children each have a croqueted blanket my Grandma made for them. Very special gifts indeed. I did cross stitch when I was younger too! I loved it! :hert:

I cannot for the life of me remember or discover what or why I was so motivated a year and a half ago and I'm not now.

I think I have to all or nothing. We shall see. I have written down some goals for the next few months and I will post them here later. Basically they consist of cutting out thing that I still think are stalling me. Increasing exercise and improving water consumption.

I do want to get them down though and then start logging here exercise, food and reflections daily.

Something has GOT to help with my motivation! Ugh!

Girl, I am so with you. I tend to be all or nothing. If I mess up a bit, it is all thrown to the side till the FOLLOWING Monday. As if I can't restart that same day....I am a mess!!!

Super excited!

My workout goals are this:

1. C25K - stay on track every other day
2. 30 day Burpee challenge
3. P90X

My plan is to do at least 2 things a night, all three if I have time. So Wednesday night, I did 1 and 2 and then didn't feel like I had time for #3.

Last night I did 2 & 3, because it wasn't a C25K day because that program is only every other night.

I am very happy. I can't believe how loose my pants feel after only two days of exercise. It is so amazing to me.

Tonight will be 1 & 2 for sure and three if I do not make dinner plans with friends.

I have also been on plan all week and am not entirely bothered by what the scale says, even though I am still weighing every day.

Feb 19 - 181.4
Feb 20 - 177.6
Feb 21 - 178.2

Friday night did C25K and Day 3 of Burpee challenge.

I was extremely sore Saturday and Sunday. So, sore it hurt to cough and laugh! I took Sat and Sun off to let my muscles recover.

Tonight's plan:

C25K
Day 4 burpee challenge
Day 2 P90X (it time permits)

I love that I have made a list and am letting myself off the hook. I feel relieved that I still am staying on plan and not beating myself up, but making what I feel like are healthy choices both mentally and physically.

It also feel healthy mentally, because I can drop off number 2 or 3 if I feel as though the kids need more time or I just need more quiet time and not feel guilty because I have prioritized them and promised myself to do at least one if I am physically able.

I am really glad I took the two days off though, my back was killing me yesterday in addition to the extremely sore abs and gluts!

Today, however, I feel fantastic and I have so much energy my co-workers can't stand me! LOL! I love these kind of days!

Well, somehow I managed to NOT work out last night. Tonight is run and burpees though, unless life gets in the way. There are some family issues going on that may cause these plans to be tossed out the window.

Good news is I have mananged to be cheat free for quite some time.

Good and bad news is I have NO APPETITE. Good because of obvious reasons, bad because I'm not getting enough calories.

Bad news is my weight if fluctuation like crazy. I think it may be due to lack of water, so I'm trying to make sure I get my water in each day.

ADDITIONAL GOAL: DRINK MY WATER!

Yes, throw in the fact that I'm trying to wrap up several projects at work and at home (taxes and office stuff) before I leave on Saturday for an 8 day business trip and things are even crazier than usual. Ugh!

stayed the same on weight today 178.2

Still no workout
