Well, I bounced up again today. 167.4

I have come to the realization that none of my UDs have been near my UD calorie goal. They have all been several hundred calories over. I am going to do a better job of tracking AND PLANNING my calories on my UDs. I have a great habit of saying to myself, "You can have that tomrrow." when I am struggling with something on a DD. Now I am committing to telling myself that, "You can PLAN that for your next UD." when I am going too high on an UD. I am just going overboard too often and need to QUIT IT.

Lori- I hear you on going over UD calories. I am sure once you get the UD calories in order you will do just fine. Are staying LC on your UD?

Hi Marika - I am trying to maintian mostly LC, but allowing myself an indulgence here and there. yesteray it was homemade mashed potatoes. I think I just need to do a better job of tracking my calories on UDs. In my mind I'll be OK, because it is an UD, but really I have no idea what most calorie counts are because I've only been tracking carbs.

I'll get better, eventually.

You are doing so well! Keep it up girl! With JUDDD the bounce of the scale happens. Maybe only weigh after a DD? Me, I only weigh about once a week, it not once every couple weeks and always after a DD

Thanks Monica! You have done very well! I just have this fear of staying away from the scale for too long. I think that is how I gained weight back in the past is rejecting the scale. So I am my own therapist and forcing myself to jump on the scale every day that a I can, whether it is ugly, bad, or good!

I understand we each have to have our own relationship with the scale! Me/mine, I HATE IT, no matter what the number states!

Mine is the mirror! No matter how many people call me skinny or go on about how much smaller I am, I can only see the fat and cellulite in the mirror. Will I/we ever be happy with our entire body image in the full length (evil) mirror??

To answer that, it is probably NO we won't. There are always imperfections that can be found. In our society we hold those we feel are PERFECT up and regard them as how we all should be. It will never happen. No matter how hard I work, I will never be Angelina! I don't have the build for it, nothing but what I can be, is the best ME I can be! You are beautiful INSIDE and OUT! Start requiring yourself to see the good. YOU are definitely worth it!

Thanks Monica! I do tell myself a lot that I WORK HARD at being the best ME I can be. My DH agrees that I am much harder on myself than anyone else ever is.

I think it is just how great women and moms are wired. If were didn't push ourselves, would we be such great women/moms?

I have decided to not stop pushing myself, to find the good things in the mirror, and to take a moment (if even a small one) to enjoy the amazing progress I have made in the last 10 months!

Well, after a crazy couple of months and crazy busy summer. I am back. Gained about 10-15 pounds. Back to work on losing it and more to work down more toward my goal.

I have a senior this year so this year is going to be busy also, but I'm hoping to stay on track and get back to work losing. I have been on plan now for 7 days today and am down 4.6 pounds.

Thanks to you both. I am chugging along. I feel broken today, because I did my second day of P90X last night. I hurt BAD. LOL, but in a good way.

My daughter is doing it with me. I used to have more energy than she did, but that has definitely changed. I am hoping though as I get further and further from restarting LC and lower and lower in weight that will change.

I have tons going on as usual:

Planning for senior year as my oldest is graduating in 7 very short months. This involves house remodeling, landscaping, party and menu planning and all the great ordering and worrying that goes along with all of that and the graduation too

Currently other HS student has qualified for regional CC tourney and I have that to plan for on Saturday

In addition I continue to chase the 8 yo and 3 you around nightly What fun!

Up side is the DH will be returning from out of town tomorrow and be home until Sunday. YAY!

P90X - 4 more workouts til rest day. YAY!

up a little in weight today, but not discouraged because I ate well yesterday and have been on plan for a whole 8 days now!

Great job on doing P90X. It is not an easy rotation. I am planning to do it in couple of months myself. Recently I have been doing Cathe's strength training DVDs and I have some serious DOMS. It is a sweet pain though

Wow, you have your hands full, girl. KUTGW!!!

Documenting:
10/21/13 - started P90X
10/22/13 - P90X day 2
10/23/13 - 2 miles on treadmill run/intervals

I have decided if I cannot fit in the P90x for the day I am committing myself to a minimum of 2 miles on the treadmill.

Date night Friday with DH was yummy ribeye steak and salad. The waitress is so fantastic remembers us almost every Friday and doesnít even ask me anymore if I want the baked potato. Alas, this week she brought me the two rolls anyway. I didnít have the heart to tell her I wasnít going to eat them. But I feel bad when the rolls just sit on the table and go to waste. Oh well, I didnít cave and stayed on plan all weekend!

Saturday was busy busy. One son going to drivers education class in the morning. Cleaning house with the others. Going shopping with DH for a generator and a couple of new windows before winter hits us fully. Sunday more of the sameÖ I was the sponsor for the youth church luncheon, so spend 5 hours cooking, serving and cleaning. Lunch was a hit though: chicken fettuccine alfredo, mashed potatoes, green beans and roll. Onward home to pack up the DH for another two week stint in Canada, dropping off two little ones to the sitter and taking teenage boys to Veteranís dinner. My oldest when to Ohio Buckeye Boys State and from there was chose for Ohio State Highway Cadet School. This was all paid for by the American Legion and we were there last night for him to speak about it and say thank you to those to sent him. I was a very proud momma as everyone told him how great his speech was. This morning I attended the Veteranís presentation at their school before heading off to work. Now I am taking a deep breath for the rest of the busy week LOL.

8 successful days on plan completed. In addtion DH has begun to work out each day and run every other day. We are very competitive, so in the back of my mind there is that little voice nagging me to get moving, because DH is getting ahead of me. Isnt' that funny?

So my goal this week, since I've been on plan for over a week now is to find the time to start C25k back again and attempt 3days/week minimum.

Monday Night Goal: C25K Week 1 Day 1

Snow on the ground here this morning, very pretty. Yesterday evening was busy as was expected. I had to work over because I went in late and the older 3 children had to heat up leftover veggies. I did put some pork ribs in the crockpot yesterday morning with a steak rub. All I put in the bottom of the crockpot was a tablespoon of vinegar and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. OMG, this was the best rib meat I have ever had. I pulled all the bones out of it last night and put some Low sugar (low carb also) BBQ sauce on it.

YUM!!!

I have been struggling for a couple of months on what to do with these ribs. I stumbled/searched for this recipe on PIN Sunday. And it worked great. I highly recommend it.

When I got home I threw together another broccoli-cauliflower salad for the week (YUM again!).

Sometimes I just want to put it all on slow motion. I was sitting back thinking about this month last night and with all the running around we have going on (5 more driverís ed classes in 13 days!) I just want the really fun parts to be in super slow motion so the kids remember. I donít want November to be a blur of activity with no fun memories. Am I being silly?

DH was home for the weekend. I ate horribly (AGAIN). When am I going to learn? I usually eat better when I am exercising, so that is my new goal. Stay on plan (as usual), but get some form of movement in daily. (OMG! I feel like a broke record. Ugh!)

My daughter is wanting to work out with me and I feel very guilty for not getting into a routine with her. I am going to work on this because I want my children to be more active when they are adults.

2014 goal: Ĺ marathon.
2015 goal: marathon ( I will turn 45 in this year).

C25K is a wonderful program. I did it back in 2002 and did numberours 5K's 10k's and 2 half Marathons. Stick to the plan, no matter what. It helps avoid injury.

Back in 2010 I injured my foot really badly, so I don't run anymore. Now I walk 5 miles a day, 5 days a week!

I have landed on a program that I want to do for the next couple of months and see if I can get back some of the progress I had the end of last year, beginning of this year.

I am going to do very low carb/high fat intermittent fasting. I actually started the fast last week, hoping to mitigate some of the eating I know is coming up in my future. I have inlaws yesterday, inlaws again tomorrow, and travelling Wed-Sun. Today is a down day, which is good because I am up 5 pounds from yesterday morning's weight due to the carbs yesterday. I am so sensitive to carbs. I have to learn to give them up!

Also, I got DH to agree to start back running "with" me on Jan 2 (C25K). With all of his travelling he will obviously not be able to run with me all the time, but we are going to stay on the same schedule so it will be like we are running together. Also, we can celebrate and commiserate with each other.

I'm not sure how much I will be around the rest of the week with Christmas Eve Pageants, Santa, Puppies, and travelling, but I will try to check in.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!!

Posted on January Challenge:

I'm almost ashamed to post a 13 POUND GAIN in 10 days. That has to just be ridiculous water gain. Needless to say. I'm committed to my way of eating, because in addition to the ridiculous weight on the scale Jan 1 I have also been feeling like dog dung for the past 10 days. I needed the reminder, but wish I had pulled myself out of it a little sooner.

Jan Goal - 175 (This was my Nov and December goal and I made it both times. I hope to never make this my goal again)

Also, DH and I are started C25K again today. my secondary goal is to stay on C25K plan all month.

Jan 1 - 188
Jan 2 - DNW

Today (Down Day):
B - 2 Decaf coffee w/ 1 T HWC each (2/100)
L - Grilled Chicken breast from KFC (0/220)
D - cooked cabbage (12/88)
S - lemon ginseng green tea (0/0)

14 Net Carbs / 408 kcals

doing well so far. I have been on plan this entire month. Even did a few days of m&E fast. took the weekend off and had a few veggies (lettuce, cabbage, etc) and cream cheese muffins. This put me up a pound or two, but back on meat and egg fast today and looking forward to more losses.

Jan 21 - 177.4 YAY!
