167.2 up today, but not unexpected. I had the first horrible cheat, binge eat I have had yesterday since starting this WOE. It still wasn't terrible, but I haven't had that much sugar or potato chips in 9 months!

I'm actually surprised that I am only up 2 pounds. My plan today to contain the damage is lots of water, strict low carb and increasing fat if I have any hunger cravings.

Also, I have a 3.5 mile run tonight.

165.8 today. I expected to be up, but apparently all the water consumption and my run last night helped to deflate my 2nd day gain affect on the carb binge!

I feel much better today and was on track wonderfully yesterday! Loving the LC WOE!

Note: The running must be paying off, because I have basically plateaued for the last few months, yet I went down another pants size!

I have this pair of pants I have been trying on weekly for about 2 months. They fit well enough to wear towork today!!! YAY!!

169.8 today.

I have not been running for the last week due to a back injury. My plan is to run today as my back seems to have recovered.

I am also noticibly up due to some bad carb choices over the last three days.

I am putting those behind me.

I am starting today with a meat and cheese fast to get me back on track. I have 3 freezers full of beef and pork, therefore, no excuses why I cannot do this and get back on track.

I am, however, missing my 7 y.o. DD because she is visiting her grandma in TN for the next 10 days! That is killing me!!

I have tons of projects at home to keep me busy though. #1 is to repaint and rearrange her room while she is gone. Won't that be a fun surprise?!

Today's plan:

B: 2 scrambled eggs w/ american and cream cheese
L: 6 wings w/ mild and ranch sauce
D: Beef

Lot's of water
Run a minimum of 20 minutes!

Looking back over the last several weeks some adjustments I need to make:

1. Get my water back up to a daily acceptable level 8+ 8 oz cups.
2. Stop eating peanuts and almonds (for now).
3. Decrease the diet DR Pepper intake.
4. Keep running 3-4 days a week.

Today's menu

B: 2 scrambled eggs w/ 1 T cream cheese and BPC
L: Tuna w/ mayo
D: Steak w/ grilled asparagus and grilled squash

Water, Water, Water

I decided I needed to do something different. Made the decision and cemented it by posting the above on the JUDDD newbie board. I intend to continue with my LC, because wheat makes be ache, but with more choices now.

More of my first DD experience:

Up day today. Resting # says I should be at 1735, light exercise says 1988. Any suggestions.

I also eat LC. I started back on Atkins 9/2012 and have lost 51+ pounds. I intend to continue to eat LC, because when I eat wheat products my joints ache badly. So any suggestions from other LC/JUDDDers would be great!
I am super excited to be started a new adventure that I think I can live with. I have been stalled for about 3 months now and in the recent weeks have begun to get discouraged. I hope to use the JUDDD program to get back on track, get to goal and not feel so guilty when I choose to have those breaded boneless wings instead of the traditional ones While I can't eat full out wheat bread or cake or cookies without paying the price with joint pain, the occaisional breaded item doesn't usually affect me. So, here's to a fun new adventure!

Having a great DD! weight this AM 167.0! I completely overindulged on my UD yesterday. I wonder if that is normal to overindulge on your first UD. It was wonderful though. I stayed away from wheat and wheat flour products mostly, but allowed myself to have a smore at my daughters Girl Scout Smores party. it was so nice to join in! I also had a few hundred more calories than I had planned, but all in all I feel really good about it.

Today has been fairly easy so far. Just 1 T HWC in my coffee and about 10 cups of water!

Looking forward to spending the rest of the day with my kids, because I spontaneously took a 1/2 day vacation. YAY ME!

6/19 – 169.2 (start day) first DD
6/20 – 166.6 UD
6/21 - 167.0 DD

I weighed this morning, but can't for the life of me remember what the scale said.

I had two UDs Saturday and Sunday. I suspected this would happen as we had out of towners planned in cincinnati and columbus with the kiddies, so I'm okay with it!

Yesterday was a fantastic DD at less than 500c.

Today is turning out to be a good LC UD also, I have yet to check my calories, but my fear is not getting enough.

Happy Tuesday All!!

6/07 – 166.6

Ok, my reasons behind modifying my LC diet to incorporate JUDDD. Maybe I’ve already listed these, but these are for me to have a historical account just in case I need to remind myself in the future. (My memory has never been that great.)

#1 I’m getting frustrated with not being able to have food once in a while that I long for. I’m not talking about cupcakes, candy or bread. These things do not really appeal to me. But the occasional helping of mashed potatoes or candied yam is frustrating. And before all you LCers jump in…I know you can add these in @ maintenance. Perhaps this is just my way of adding them in and experimenting with something fun and different, which leads me to my next point.

#2 I need something different. I think another of my problems is I am tired of counting carbs. I need something else to renew that initial excitement of tracking and seeing results each week. JUDDD has helped with that.

#3 I need something that I can maintain for life without feeling guilty every time I want a helping of potatoes. I do not want to feel like I am cheating. Having said that, feeling like I’m cheating might just be something I have to live with as I have to accept the reality that I will have to consider everything I put in my mouth for THE REST OF MY LIFE if I do not want to be over 200 pounds again within a year!

#4 I think everyone has to find what works for them and continually experiment and adjust. My body has decided that this 163-169 range is comfortable. I say, I still do not want it. I’m running and exercising now and I want more off, because when I am working out I can feel the extra weight and I want it gone. I’m currently fighting with my body to get past this plateau.

#5 Nothing is forever. I firmly believed 4 months ago that LC would be with me the rest of my life. I’m sure that in some form it will be. When I eat bread my joints ache, so I will avoid large amounts of bread. But I want to be able to say yes to the occasional garlic cheddar biscuit and not feel bad about it. Hello, UP DAY!

#6 I do realize that I can never go back to just eating. I HAVE to have a plan…Refer back to #3.

Week 2 of JUDDD is coming to a close. Today is a DD and I believe Sunday and Monday may be a down day. We will see. I am also toying with the idea of just doing MWF DDs, because it is so difficult with such a large family and busy summer weekends to do DDs on the weekends. We shall see.

I may call this “The Great Eating Experiment.” Isn’t that what it is?

I am definitely going to stick with it through August. My family just has too many crazy weekends during the summer to try and get on/stay on track on a Saturday or Sunday.

So, for the 6-7 weeks I am going to do the MWF DD and see how it goes. So far, so good! If I maintain through the summer, I will be extremely happy. If I lose, I will be ecstatic!!

Then in September, it will be time to get serious again and get these last 30-40 pounds off over the fall/winter/spring again.

Sounds like a winning plan to me. I am determined not to put the weight bck on a 3rd time and have to lose it again. (Yes, this is the 3rd time I have lost over 50 pounds in the last 15 years.) I'm tired of it and am determined to find a way to maintain. Still running. Enjoying that also.

Up a little from the weekend, but still under 168, so happy for now.

Saving thoughts posted to another board by me on 7/6/13:

"Well Thursday didn't go quite as planned due to Mother Nature, but we had a great time nonetheless. Rain caused the fireworks to be cancelled, so we opted for a movie marathon. We had popcorn and peanut m&m's and watched Rise of the Guardians and Oz the great and powerful. For my range of ages, these two movies were perfect! Yesterday was the town festival and run the night 5K. My 15 yo DS and myself participated in the 5k. My son took 3rd overall out of 340+ runners. I respectably ran the entire 5K except for the last .2 miles, my 3 yo DS decided to join me to run to the finish line and I had to stop to walk 1 or 2 times for him . I love that they are becoming more active with me! "
