Hi Shelle,

I just wanted to add, in response to your request for help in my journal, that the HCG diet/protocol is not for everyone. Perhaps it's not for you? Maybe you should get the JUDDD book and see if that appeals to you? It was wonderful in getting me out of my previous stall, after low-glycemic calorie counting, just prior to my beginning HCG.

Thoughts?

Hi Buttah!

I appreciate your input on this. However, I am not ready to say that this is not for me. I believe in it so much! But sadly, it has revealed to me the real eating issues that I have, as well as medication effects etc. So if after trying round 2 I go through this again, I will def agree. AND I also am very interested in the JUDD diet for maintenance. So I will be doing my homework on that as well.

***********************************************

So I have ended Round one- PH 2 and moved to Round one Phase. I am considering r1ph2 to be productive as in showing me the things that I need to work on. They are:
Giving up and/or Breaking Bad Food Habits
a. Late Night Snacking
b. Binge Eating
c. Portion Control
d. Hunger Scale Method
e. Not exercising
f. Overcoming Cravings
g. Cut-off eating times
h. Removal of Hurtful Carbs for Ph 3
i. Ability to stick to a regimen for dieting purposes

As of right now i am awaiting word from my doctor on what he would have me do since the end of Rd1Ph2. I am going totally low carb until I hear from him assuming that I am in Ph 3. The issues with Ph 3 is that I did not do the protocol correctly and therefore I don't believe that resetting my hypothalamus is even possible. I am assuming that I will need to be in Ph 3 for a month and then redo Ph 2. I want to lose weight during this phase. As much as possible!!! That would really help me!

Shelle, I found P3 to be very easy, thanks to things like mug cakes (recipes all over this forum), my favorite seaweed snacks from Trader Joe's (these are like my potato chips!), even sugar free chocolate covered almonds (but be careful - it is hard to stop eating them; possibly not good for you).

I enjoyed fats, gradually easing them in... and when I felt I needed that pasta vibe, I had yummy sauces over Miracle Noodles (the ones that you have to rinse to death out of the package), which have 0 calories, all fiber. I sprinkled cheese on things. I had Greek yogurt. Once in a while I had a very low carb tortilla, which I purchased through netrition. But mostly I avoided carbs and sugar like the plague. I did have fruit.

I love P3. But I don't lose on it. I carefully, vigilantly maintain.

Best of luck. Let us know what your doc says.

Did you lose anything on P2? If so, I'm sure there was SOME resetting going on.

And if I were you, I would not start another round until you are really, really ready.

Time to check in....

As of today I am free of the most potent pain med that I was on. I detoxed at home privately and it is officially out of my system. The Xanax is still being tapered and I am very happy with my results. So proud of me!!! And thankful to the Lord for His strength!

I truly believe that all of the meds I am on to treat FM and CFS has been a HUGE issue for my resolve, ability to conquer cravings etc. As of today, I feel like a totally different person without this pain med in me. And the great news is that my pain levels have decreased significantly, more clarity in my thinking, no up and down fatigue bouts. I am so thankful to hcg for exposing that there was "other" elements effecting my weightloss efforts.

So today I am on Ph 3. I am looking for 21 days of perfect ph 3 eating before returning to round 2, ph 2.

Round 1, Phase 3
Day 1.... 235

Ok... saw dr and am going again.....

However, this journal is very, very disturbing for me given all of the hard battles I went through. So as I turn over a new leaf I am also turning to a new journal. The following is my link.

New Journal... Living by Design!
