Day 16.. did not weigh today, no sleep. ugh. On track in every other way. EXERCISE!!! doing my peddling right now and will for an hour or so..
After work, POOL TIME!! 30 min of taebo in the pool..

Good morning, Deb! Just thought I'd stop by and see how the exercise Queen is doing!! I walked to work this morning and felt great! I'm feeling a lot better when I arrive at my current job. I found showers...woot woot!! Have a fantastic day Deb!

Btw, I absolutely LOVE that you do Taebo in the pool. I love Taebo. It is one of the only exercise videos I really got into....Good going with you peddling this morning. I am enjoying my coffee and fast today.

Thanks Jen! I have all the tapes of Billy Blanks memorized!.. I can do any and all of his routines from memory and I do!..

Back in 1998 or 99? I got to talk with Billy on the QVC channel when I was supporting his tapes and had lost like 120 pounds...( they had me call into the show and they showed my before and afters on TV!) it was an awesome experience, and I think I have that VCR tape somewhere..

Anyhoooo.. I love me TAEBO!!..

Omg! That is so awesome!! What is your favorite Billy video? I'm thinking about getting into them again. You should show your before and after photos. 120 lbs is a big deal!!

Well, that was a few years ago, and I got to goal at that time. My before and afters were on my old computer and I can't get to them. I have tried. Anyway, I am not at goal now, so WHEN I do, I am going to put them up..

I have tons of befores, but ugh. until I get an after, aint happening!..

My favorite tapes are his originals .. 8 minute workout, basic, and advanced. From there he uses all his basic moves, but adds a few things here and there to make NEW videos.. haha.. Smart MAN!.. Any of his videos are great!! The basic moves are all you need to get strong and healthy in my opinion!

That's too bad about the before and afters on your old computer. I cannot wait to see the photos of your before and after. I shy away from the camera so I do not have a lot of before pictures, but I have enough.

As for Billy, you are right I loved the basic and he had one that was extreme that I loved. It was called Cardio Explosion. I would always go back to the basic video in between the Cardio Explosion. That video kicked my butt

I wonder if they are on Youtube so I could watch at least Basic...going to go peak at Youtube.

Yep, I bet they are!!

I do have my after from a photoshoot I had to do before they would pay me... LOL oh yes, I won some contest back then too.. I'll scan it tonight if I remember..

haha.. well the guy who was doing the interview said, WOW, nobody must recognize you.. dang, wish I could get back there!!

Hey Deb! Just read the Shape Magazine article. I loved it and so true to the fact of how you continue to lose weight. I'm certain you will get there again especially now that you are healing yourself and not fearing food. I cannot believe how long I feared food. You've got this Deb...it is working and you will be able to be one of those runners who can eat whatever they wish. I was looking at some other exercise boards and found Callanetics...I'm really into finding more exercise at the moment because I want to make sure I stay busy with exercise on the weekend as well. I just have so much energy that I don't want to lose it

Thanks Jen.. I agree, I have feared food too long. Back then, although I kinda sorta followed it, I most of the time relied on exercise to get me there! WE CAN DO THIS AGAIN!!!

Yes, we can! I'm amazed at how far we've come in the few years we've corresponded. We absolutely CAN do this again...we know exactly how we got here and how to get back to where we were. We have the map and everything we need. Time to buckle up and enjoy the ride back

Jen, I just wanted to thank you for bringing back some good memories for me and when I was able to really get the weight off!!.. Watching some of Billy's videos at work ( well listening) while I peddle, and remembering the feeling I got when I did those videos everyday! POWERFUL!!!!!

Once I let go of my food fears, it is all coming back to me.. wow.. so many wasted years... oh well Today is a brand new day!!. Thanks Hon

Awwwww...anytime hon! You have been such an inspiration for me. I started watching some of the videos at work...Billy's exercise suit is so cute! Anyway, I remember doing these videos and not following any diet really, just eating to satiety and moving a lot. I was active with my kids sports and joined a kick ball team. We were all in okay shape, but definitely not prime shape. Those days I would have burgers and pizza and still lose. Although, i didn't eat like that everyday, but my body loved that I loved food. I was pickier about what I would eat...hardly any sweets from refined sugars and definitely no hydrogenated oils. Those things are just bad news! Frozen yogurt, granola, fruit, veggies, and grains were all okay. Sorry this is long winded but it's really been on the top of my mind today.

Very true, I think our bodies just naturally want to eat that way. The way that makes us feel good. Why don't we listen more?... Well I know for sure this process is making me take notice of everything I do. Not JUDGE, just notice what works and what doesn't. I am loving this ...

Here is my AFTER back in 98 or 99 when I had lost over 100 pounds that time, and did Taebo everyday.. I'll try to find my before. ok can't find one in my files at work, but this is one I posted before HCG. I was around this size before I lost all that. UGH.. gained it back, lost more, and still am not to after again yet. OH WELL...

Thanks Jen! I was able to get into the pool and did not want to get out! It was well over 95 degrees out and very very humid. I am sure you know how that is!.. The water was perfect though, because we have an areator? that cools the water off with a fountain.. so HEAVEN!!..

I also peddled again in the afternoon so basically 2.5 hours of movement yesterday.. happy with that!!..

How did things go with you?

Wow!! Good going with the movement! Things went great; I find myself full of energy when I arrive home and did some floor exercises with my 3 yr old. Today we'll go to the pool as I think TOM has officially left. Nearly 7 days....Yuck! Keep on peddling my friend!

OH wonderful on going to the pool!! I know having young kids is sure a butt kicker and they LOVE water usually.. have fun!!..

Thank goodness TOM is packing his bags.. that makes a long 7 days.. ugh.. Enjoy your day, and I am peddling as I type.. excuse typos.. haha..

Yeah, Deb!! Peddle away those lbs. Do you have any small dumb bells? I'm going to bring mine to work to do a few arm exercises. Can't hurt....lol!

I do at home and often think to bring them. then I forget!.. I will put them by my stuff or in my car when I get home.. I have been using resistance for my arm exercises in the form of my own body.. Weights will be better!

Ugh. I did not get my exercise in yesterday at home and I can tell by my mood that I needed it. Our house was struck by lightning Monday night, and we found all sorts of things that don't work now. BLAH! So we have been dealing with that.

This is our third lightning strike since we have lived here. First one was our first year in the house and it knocked out our cooling and heating unit. Second time we lost our huge beautiful tree in the front yard, and now .. window busted, alarm doesnt work, TV cable does not work, TV's don't work right, router does not work, etc etc.. Electricity is a powerful thing!!!

Anyway, I was so busy trying to go through everything I missed my pool time and I am a grouch today..

Hopefully as the day goes on, things will get better.. hope all of you are having a better day!..

Hi Deb!! So sorry to hear about the lightning striking your house. The last storm that came through wiped out our router. It was on it's last leg, so definitely not a big deal. Good thing you have your under the desk peddler. I was a mess yesterday without exercise. I kept myself busy with the kids and we had a great time. We didn't make it to the pool; I was still feeling a bit blah. I had a great walk this morning. I hope you have a much better day today!
