Vilya in 2013 - 100 lbs. and beyond! (and this year - pix!)

Hey all! Another year, I can't believe it. 2012 was awesome for me. I hit 101 lbs. lost, and I have another 15 to go. I suspect it will take me most of this year to lose that last bit, as my weight loss has slowed down considerably.

I don't care, though, as long as it comes off I really don't care how slow it is.

This year I'm going to add pictures, just for more interest. I have a great one to start with, which I'll add when I get home tonight.

Thanks to everyone who read and commented last year. It helps to know I'm actually talking to someone, and not just to myself.

6/22/13: the 100 lb. loss only lasted a few weeks, and I've since regained some of the weight. Stats updated to reflect this.

Hello ladies! Welcome to 2013!

I was feeling kind of low recently, feeling fat even though I KNOW I have done a good job with the weight loss. But we still have the old feelings, right? It's hard to think of yourself as "thin" when you've been fat your whole life.

So I found a pair of pants from my fattest, and laid my size 16 jeans over them. Reality check! I immediately stopped feeling bad about myself.

This picture boggles my mind and really shows how far I've come.

You guys, I feel like I am back in control! I've had 2 good days in a row (meaning I stuck to my calorie goal). I'm logging everything again and have cut the carbs back to induction levels. I'm also trying really hard to stick to my general "more fat than protein" rule.

I've been bouncing around between 186 and 188 for the past few weeks, and I need to get away from that! This year I need to reach goal!

My current calorie target is 1,400. Yesterday I hit 1,750. Sigh...

I fell victim to going to the grocery store after work and buying a rotisserie chicken. And then eating most of it. So I killed my protein goal as well.

Today is better. I had a faux-flour biscuit and coffee for breakfast. By the way, if you haven't checked out that thread in the Recipe forum, you really should. It's seriously the best flour mix ever. Ouizoid should be proud!

I posted this in the Recipe thread when I made it, but I'll post it here as well. This is the Almond Flour Fudge Cake I made for Thanksgiving, from The Chicken Lady's recipe. It is to DIE for.

Vilya- I eat rotisserie chickens all the time. I think I will eat a piece or two and then end up consuming 3/4 of the thing in one sitting. Those things are addicting!

Rotisserie chicken is sooooo good! I actually like all the dark meat parts the best. I eat it in this order: wings, legs, thighs, breasts. Sometimes I get an overcooked chicken and the breast meat is so dry, I just pitch it. Like, I'm mad at it for being overcooked.

I like thighs, legs, wings then breast.
And I sometimes cut up the dried out breast and make my husband chicken salad for lunch.

I know, I should use it for chicken salad or in soup, but sometimes I'm just like, "I am done with you!" and I toss it.

I'm so hungry right now. I had 2 squares of dark chocolate for breakfast, and obviously that's not enough. For lunch today I'm having a nice salad with lettuce, grilled salmon, a hard boiled egg, and Caesar dressing. Mmm!

Well, I'm still at 188, where I've been for the past 4 weeks. Nighttime eating is killing me, and I haven't figured out how to get past it. Sometimes I make it until 9:00 or 10:00 and think I'm home free, but then I cave and eat something.

It's never a lot or anything carby, but it's just enough to keep my weight stable instead of losing. Arghhh!

Confessional: I just logged all my food online and saw that I went 800 calories over goal.

One step forward, one step back... No wonder I am just maintaining and not losing anything. I didn't want to log the food, but I knew I had to do it if I was keeping to my promise to be honest about what I was eating. I can't hide from this, I am overeating, plain and simple.

I'm supposed to be around 1,400 cals per day, and today I was at 2,200. When I weighed 285 that would have been no problem, but I don't, and it is.

There is a thread in the Lobby about guacamole, and in that thread, cfine posted a fantastic recipe for avocado chocolate pudding. My 2nd attempt at it turned out GREAT. I will take a picture for y'all today so you can see.

OK, I'm going to start counting the # of days I eat properly and don't make bad food choices.

Today counts as the first day. I did very well today, stayed right at my calorie goal of 1,400 and kept my fat and protein goals intact, too.

You can do it, Vilya! Just think of the blood sugar spikes and what they do to our bodies.

Controlling my BG is the only thing that keeps me from going completely off the rails sometimes. Even when I overeat, it's very, very rare that I would do so with carby foods. Mostly, I overeat just plain LC calories. Still not good!

Weigh in this morning, and I'm finally headed back down! I was at 187, so now only 3 lbs. over my low.

I made chicken wings today, coated in ranch dressing powder. I used 1 packet of dressing for 2 lbs. of wings, and they were a teeny bit underdressed. Next time I'll use 1.5 packs.

Here's a pic:

YOU GUYS. Last night I made faux ice cream with: heavy cream, a few frozen strawberries, Splenda. Blend all in Ninja and eat! It made about half a cup, and was DELICOUS. I had been craving ice cream for a long time, and I finally got to eat some!

I will take a pic next time. I inhaled it too fast this time.
