Doing pretty good today. Went swimming, and have stayed within my calories so far. A few more carbs than normal, but nothing major.

I'm going to have to do a test of the So Delicious coconut milk "ice cream" to see if it's spiking my blood sugar. I have a feeling it is, but I won't know until I test it by itself. Will do it tomorrow. I hope it's not, because I really like it and was excited to find it. But if it raises my BG over 100 for a little 1/4 cup serving, well...it has to go.

I shall report back tomorrow!

Oh, it was SO GOOD to be able to change my stats to a lower number this morning! Lost 2.8 from last week - new weight is 192.0.

Great report on the ice cream! No BG spike at all. However, if you are at all sensitive to inulin, I would suggest not eating this if you're not going to be near a bathroom for a while. If you know what I mean.

Hahaha. It's a little carby for me to try now on Induction, but I think it would be fine closer to goal. So great that it didn't cause a spike - win!!

Aaaaaaand once again, I bounce back up 2 lbs. Sigh...

I'm thinking of trying the Primal Blueprint plan for a while, see if it helps.

Sometimes I see pictures of a "forbidden" food and I get such an intense craving for it, like I can't believe that still happens after almost 2 years of LC. I honestly think some of the craving is for the convenience factor. I can make LC chocolate, or buy 90% dark or whatever, but it's like the craving is for eating MILK chocolate, or a Caramello, or whatever. There's still the child part of me that wants to stamp her feet and go, "But I WANT it!!" and have a tantrum.

I've never been good with being told I can't do something, so even when it's ME telling me I can't do something I want to rebel.

Hmmm...well, I don't tell myself I cannot have anything...that is why I am fat. Now, I've no desire for sweets at the moment except some fruit. Usually the desire to eat what you desire goes away if you don't label it as forbidden. You are doing great Vilya. I cannot wait to be in Onederland...

This heat has been great for my eating this week. In that, I don't want to because it's so hot and I can't bear the thought of cooking! I've barely eaten anything the past few days.

Think I will do bacon and eggs for dinner...

Here's a picture of a beautiful grass-fed pork chop I made the other day, complete with pan gravy. It was SO delicious!! The pork came from a local ranch and was so much tastier than commercially-raised pork. I couldn't believe it.

Welp, back down to 192! I really need to keep this going, instead of bouncing up and down 2 lbs. every week!

I went on vacation in late July and actually lost 2 lbs., but this week I've been not exactly bingeing on carbs, but eating waaaaay more carbs than normal. Like, in the 150 per day range. That is NOT GOOD for my blood sugar. And of course it's causing more cravings.

I'm terrified to weigh in this week.

OK, so I gained up to 198 in the past 2 weeks. Not acceptable.

I have begun damage control, and today was a very good day. Three-mile walk, and good food choices. No excess carbs.

Weight this morning was 197, and my official weigh day is Saturday, so at least I'm heading in the right direction.

I was 195 this morning.

Just shows what cutting back to my normal carb levels does in a short period of time!

I had gained 7 lbs. in 10 days, because I ate THREE bags of chips in that 10-day period. That is the biggest relapse I've had in 2 years, and it wasn't fun. I'm really happy to be eating normally again!
