I am really proud of myself this week. I've done better in this one week than I have in a month or so. I feel hopeful again that I will get the downward movement going again.

I'm good! I have been holding between 187 - 189 for something like 8 months now? Seems to be where my body wants to be, so I'm cool with it for now. I can maintain this weight pretty easily, and it allows me to be active and do whatever I want to do, so I'm OK. I may try to lose more, but for now I'm not going to stress about it.

How are you?

I was 193 this morning, what the h*ll????

I have not overeaten this week, or had too many carbs. I have no idea what's going on. I was 189 last week.

I swear, my body just likes to mess with me sometimes...

OK, I am kicking butt this week. I'm back down to 190 and have 2 more days to go before weigh in. Have been exercising more and tracking my calories again.

I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED. I WILL GET INTO THE 170's THIS YEAR.

Food I am currently not buying, because I can't control the portions:

-- Breyer's CarbSmart bars
-- Peanut butter
-- Liverwurst (because then I eat it on Wasa crackers)
-- Bagged popcorn (I can't eat just part of a bag, I want the whole thing)

New foods I DID buy, to get out of my food rut and eat something other than bacon and eggs for a change:

-- Pre-cooked shrimp
-- Sockeye salmon fillets

I also cooked this week, an Enchilada Bake that I found on Cleochatra's site (Your Lighter Side). It's delicious!

Just an update - I have remained exactly the same at 189 for the past 3 weeks. I'll take it, even though I wish it was lower.

I don't think I've done well this week. We'll see in a couple days...

I am having MASSIVE pizza cravings. Like, I've never really HAD a pizza craving in the past 1.5 years, and now all of a sudden I want it BAD.

They bought us ice cream at work today, and my boss is so sweet, he got me some sugar-free fruit bars that only had 6 carbs each. He is a great guy.

I'd never heard of the brand, either - Outshine, by Dreyer's (Edy's on the East Coast).

Oh! Forgot to post my pic of these PB cookies I made last week, courtesy of a recipe from someone on my diabetes board. They were good, although I will bake them a little longer next time.

Still 191. I give up.

I hit my 100-lb. mark back in Nov. of 2012. The very next week I went up to 187 and have stayed between 187 and 191 for the past 6 months. I don't know how I managed to lose down to 184 and then just STOP and bounce back up a few lbs. I don't get it.

If my body wants to be between 187 - 191, how the heck did I even make it down to 184 in the first place??

I know it's so hard. I too got to a "goal" I set last year and have yet to get back there. Just bouncing back up and down a few lbs over.....

I slip up occas and have Off meals, I don't know if you do.

You have done wonderful, just take a deep breath, you know we are both healthier and feeling better so we can just keep fighting the good fight and wait for the next "whoosh" !

(hugs)

I do have off-plan meals, apparently enough to keep my weight in the range it's been in, without losing any more. I need to tighten that up.

Isn't it amazing how quickly we want more than what we have? When I started this, at 285, I was like, "I would be happy with anything under 200!" And now that I'm in the 180's, now I want lower. We're never satisfied...

OK guys, this has now reached Defcon 5. I was 193 this week. I keep creeping up. I know exactly why, too, and it's time to stop making excuses. Things I am doing wrong:

-- Eating too many carbs, period. I've crept up to probably 50/day, and I should be at 20-30.
-- Eating too many calories. I'm at a point where I can't just eat whatever anymore. I need to watch the calories.
-- Not enough exercise. I'm going to need the extra help from exercise if I want to fix this.
-- Not planning my meals. Eating too many meals as "catch-all," which leads to more calories and bad choices.

I can fix this! I know what to do, now I will DO IT. Next week I WILL be on the way back down, not up!

6/22/13: the 100 lb. loss only lasted a few weeks, and I've since regained some of the weight. Stats updated to reflect this.

Just got back from visiting a friend in Seattle. Ate more carbs than usual, but not crazy, and I walked quite a lot. I think I did OK, we'll see on Sunday!

Lost a lb. last week, down to 192.

Happy, but all this up and down BS has go to stop. I need to go down and keep going down.

Note to self: eating popcorn 3-4 times a week does not constitute "once in a while." Same for crackers, even if they are lower-carb.

2nd note to self: stop buying these items!!! In fact, stop buying all of the below:

-- Crackers
-- Popcorn
-- Breyers Carb Smart bars
-- Peanut butter
-- SF Jello pudding mix (cannot control portions)

Carb creep is definitely killing my progress. I started out truly eating these things once in a while, but the frequency of "a while" has gone up quite a bit.

Time for a course correction.

Have done very well this week. I finally started cooking again on a regular basis, planning meals and making shopping lists. I've also managed to just stick to ONE portion per meal, and not go back for seconds.

I think I have done enough to at least stay at 192, where I was last week. We'll see tomorrow!

Yay, stayed at 192! Actually lost .2. Now to keep the downward momentum going. I'm sick of this yo-yo BS.

See, this is what happens when I have a good weigh-in. I think, "Whee, I can eat today!" When am I going to learn??

Two cups coffee with HWC, 2 measured Tbsp: 100 cals
Popcorn with 3 Tbsp. butter, popped in olive oil (that's about 700 cals right there)
Faux shepherd's pie: 320 cals
BBQ, with 1 roll (brisket and sausage): guessing maybe 600 cals?
"Ice cream" made from HWC and mixed berries: probably 500 cals
Six slices bacon: 330 cals

Total: almost 2,600

I'm supposed to be at 1,400 for weight loss right now; 1,600 for maintenance. This is ridiculous. I thought I had broken this thinking about rewarding myself with food, but I guess not...

I'm too embarrassed to post my food, but suffice it to say I had another bad day. I'm having a very rough time here lately.

I'm estimating I'm at around 2,100 - 2,500 calories today.

I know that's not textbook "binge level" of calories, but it's way more than I need, and I'm finding it very difficult to control myself (obviously). Wish I could channel the focus I had a year ago...
