Great you're caught up on your sleep!

Texas heat = scarey!

Out of curiosity... what do people with the stomach flu come in for? What do the Dr's give them?

Most have vomiting that won't stop, multiple watery diarrhea stools and are dehydrated. Fever too......

It's usually several days before they feel better.
We start IV's and give them 1-2 liters of fluid. Zofran is wonderful for the nausea and vomiting.

Hope you don't get it where you need all that. It's rotavirus when they are that sick usually......

Thanks Laura, for explaining that!

Sounds like DH's montezuma's revenge... scarey. Thankful that I didn't get it that hard.

Yes, it does kind of sound the same...... miserable for the person that has it.

Went to bed early and slept till 5:30 am ... finally feeling really rested.

Craving pizza, may have to pull out a LC recipe for one ! I have some pretty good recipes I've saved for them.

Kind of feeling sad that I can't eat carbs without the constipation and other issues . Know that I feel better when I don't have them and I also have read lots of info about carbs causing ( or making worse ) Alzheimers.......which after seeing my Dad suffer with it ( he loved carbs by the way ) - I don't want to do anything that will increase my chances of getting it. Reminding myself that i am now off my b/p med and cholesterol med too. !!

Don't feel like this very often, probably just stressed and tired........ I know I can do this !

That's great you're caught up on your sleep!

I'm on a thread MARCH WINDS...BLOW OUR FAT AWAY They post lots of carb-substitution recipes there. Its a low carb/high fat thread... great for getting rid of carb-cravings, probably more aggressive then you need, but the recipes should work for you.

I've developed such a hate towards foods like that... kind of extreme, but it works for me.

Have a marvelous day!

Really ? Is that because of your allergies to so many foods ? What happens when you eat flour, eggs, and such ?

I have stomach issues if I eat 1-2 regular meals with flour. I can eat a small amt of sugar with no problems. But the headaches come back with flour too......ugh.

I guess you can't even have the pizza crust with cauliflower crust.....there are eggs in there. That really limits what you eat !! How do you keep from getting bored with your food ?

Hope you are feeling better today !

Hi Laura - thanks so much for dropping by my journal. I was just checking out your stats, you've done extremely well, and you're so close to your goal weight. I can't believe you guys are experiencing high temperatures already. I'm in the Bahamas and we've been having high 60's & 70's; funny you would think it would be the complete opposite. Hope you have a great day!

just back from town with DH. We went out to eat : Grilled ribeye, grilled shrimp, green beans with bacon and onions and brocc/caul mix. Was good

Went to Walmart and got Allie a new pool for the yard and got one with a little slide built in for Shelby . Allie LOVES to put her head under the water and run around and around in the pool ! It's so funny..... I'll try to get a video of her doing it. We tell her "go swimming " and she runs over and does it in the summers when she's hot

Bought TONS of produce. Gonna try turnips .... hope I like them. Man, groceries just keep going up ! I can't believe it week to week :/

No exercise yesterday or today except shopping. Lots of housework to do tomorrow and I will definitely get a good long walk in and maybe some pilates too !

Have a wonderful night

Yum! your dinner sounds excellent! Way better than pizza!

Yay for the swimming pool! Sounds wonderful for your heat!

Shopping & housework will add up! I always count it in mine, vacuuming makes me sweat!

Yeah, groceries do keep going up. Let me know about those turnip fries!

G'nite!

Hey that sounds like you & your family had a delightful day! How wonderful!

Puppy breath is sweet. Its a protection to them too... all other dogs will be nice to a puppy because of that smell.

Uh oh... seeds ... WORK! Hope you enjoy it. Guess you have to use quite a bit of water there huh? Its so hot I'd think it would be hard to keep things moist. What are you going to grow?

Good night!

I've been here for quite a few years now. I think it's the beach that keeps me here The weather is generally beautiful but in the summers it can get extremely humid, almost unbearable. My DS say's it's more like a sauna.

It's great that you enjoyed golf, all of that walking is definitely good exercise and I'm sure you'll be able to detect it on your scale the next time you weigh in.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Yes, it was a really fun day and the best part ?? My son texted me twice telling me thanks for going and how much fun it was

Yes, it is a lot of work, but with my bad back I don't do a lot of the bending over stuff. DH loves his big garden and refuses to downsize it...... so he does most of the work for sure !! We give a lot away to friends and co-workers. And he has to water with sprinklers every few days Never enough rain here

That sounds amazing to live in Paradise
It is super humid here in Texas too......unbearable at times !
Not sure I'll see it on the scale since I made a pizza from scratch and ate it
I love it and the kids stayed at the last minute so I made one . Woke up in the middle of the night with a migraine from it

Oh well....... Have a great day !

Slept late and then DH suprised me and said "let's have a date night" !! We ran some errands and took off to Houston. Great restaurant - grilled beef fajitas, grilled shrimp with jalapenos all wrapped in bacon, really nice salad, and guacamole -- super yummy !

Thought about going to the movies, but we just piddled around instead. Very sweet of him.

Dh has been pressure washing house all afternoon and I (yikes !) have been cleaning out the china cabinet drawers, the drawers in the island ( better known as the junk drawers ) -- What a job !! They are the absolutely messiest places in the whole house ! But I threw away tons of old receipts and junk papers....... much better

Ham out of the oven....turnip fries in oven....gonna steam some broccoli to go with them.
Did have the salad for lunch so today is very LC ......

Hope you all are having a good evening !

Well, supper was a flop.....

Ham was pre-cooked, said to heat 1 hr..... wasn't even heated all the way through.
Turnip fries were eh..ok....... but DH didn't like them.
Broccoli with cheese I didn't mess up..... haha

Had a small bowl of fresh pineapple and cantelope since I wasn't anywhere near full. Didn't eat much ham or fries .

Oh well, wasted time making that meal !
