Wow! She probably didn't even need that epidural. That's wonderful news, Laura. I have seen the pics and it's a wonderful thing. Enjoy your new grandbaby boy.

Those are some wonderful pictures, Laura! Thanks for posting them. "Just back from Walmart." I don't look that good after shopping at Walmart! They make a very handsome couple and you can see what happiness you are all experiencing. Such a blessing! Thank you Lord for all you give us in life.

Thanks so much Cheryl and Susan !

Lazy morning here. DH just ran to town to get tomato plants and such. He is putting in his garden today. Wyatt is doing fine ! Shelby is excited that her birthday is coming up

think we will head to Houston this afternoon. The new bed we got recently is still hurting my back ( we have 100 days to exchange/return it ) ~~ I thought it was too soft , but told DH I would give it a try . Hoping to find one with more support that DH can stand too. It's hard.

Beautiful sunny day here ! Was 77 yesterday !! they say rain sat night and sun so DH wants to get the garden in before that.

Hope you all are doing well.

That's good news, all except returning the mattress. I need a firm one, too. Maybe get one of those sleep number beds. Probably cost an arm and a leg but you get two different sides with different controls for firmness. Can't imagine what it feels like if you were to be in the middle of the bed, though.

When's Shelby's birthday? So the two kids will have their birthday parties one after the other. I'm glad the weather down there is so pleasant and that DH will be planting his garden.

Have a lovely day, Laura.

All great news! Yippee! Enjoy the rest of your long relaxing day. Mine was anything but! Had volunteer orientation at the farm then pm feed shift. 6 hours plus one hour of "lunchtime." I'm pooped. And the WIND! O.M.G.

Oh yeah, they went home 24 hours after he was born and we took Shelby home that evening. She is doing great with him <3

Went to Houston today and picked out another mattress ( firm ) I think it will be much better. The other one was firm but with a fluffy pillow top and was just not enough support for my back. It will be delivered Tues !

left Houston and went 1 1/2 hours to see Shelby and Wyatt ! He slept the entire time ! But he tooted on us the whole time lol ! They are doing really good and DS1 is so glad to be off and home with his family. DIL said he made her breakfast the 1st 2 mornings she was home and it was ready when she woke up

Hope you all had a great Sunday ! Night !

morning !

Ribs marinating ....
Chicken in crockpot.... my sil made this when we went camping and it's really easy and good.

Frozen chicken breasts - skinless
can of jalapeno slices - pickled
can of green chilies
can of diced tomatoes - I used Fire Roasted
pkg of taco seasoning....

Put the lid on and cook 6-7 hours in crockpot - then shred and eat ! Can eat plain or with sour cream, cheese. She makes tacos and then uses leftovers to make enchiladas.

Sounds yummy! Glad you went to see the growing family. Too funny about the tooting. How's Cowboy doing? Glad you bought a new mattress. Firm is the best for my body, too.

I definitely need a firm one ! Poor DH.....

The chicken is yummy. Might be good for you when you have to work , come home to a hot yummy meal

We bought all the stuff for the fence ( underground ). Have to go back to work tomorrow so it will get done next days off. Dh's brother was supposed to come recently, I think I told y'all - he got sick and cancelled - anyway he will be here 4-5 days on our days off so maybe he can help DH and get it done quickly ! I can't wait !!!

Got cowboy some big rawhide bones yesterday and a new ( hopefully indestructable ) toy ! He still digs some. ;/

overcast and drizzling here. Guess DH will grill ribs in a bit .... I'm making him potato salad ( yuck ) . Gotta make some poppers too

That's great! Was the underground fence expensive? My sister is interested in buying one too. Hope your BIL helps install! Is the weather pretty nice there?
At least if the toy in indestructible it will last longer... LOL. I put 3 of Molly's balls inside her "tire" toy... that challenges her to try to get 'em. She's pretty good at destroying her toys too, but the rubber ones seem to last.
Sorry you have to go back to work. But that baby's arrival couldn't have been more perfect!

Potato salad. Sorry, but my mom makes the BEST potato salad. It's the thing she always brings to family picnics. WTG on the underground fence! And I agree with Deb on the timely arrival of little baby Wyatt. Such a handsome family you have.

Goodnight. I'm pooped as usual but I should rest and relax for at least a couple days. We shall see how that plays out.

Debby , yes Wyatt was born at the perfect time !
The fence was about $400 because we had to get extra wire - DH is going to fence in about 2 - 2 1/2 acres . Also had to buy an extra collar for Allie.
I can't wait till it is installed
So far Cowboy hasn't completely torn up his newest toy

Cheryl, ooh I have NEVER liked potato salad.
Hope you are off and resting.
How's the bunny and Cissy ?

Back to work today. It's supposed to be sunny and 72 today and then rain for several days after that .

Ended up making so much food yesterday. DS2 came over and ate and took his GF some soup too.
Had leftover cauliflower so I made cauliflower/cheese soup with it. Also big pot of taco soup.

Hope you all have a great week !

Bunny and Cissy are well. Thank you for asking. Be patient with training both dogs when the fence is installed and activated. Be sure to place those little flags all around and walk the dogs with their electric collars carefully on leash. Get them just close enough to hear the tone, then yank them back hard so they never get the zap. Once zapped, you'll be lucky to get them to leave the porch. Cissy was so freaked out at first, that is exactly what happened. I didn't think she'd ever adjust.

I hope you have an excellent week at work. Ooh! Your soup sounds so "comforting." Taco soup too? I wish I had your ambition.

debby when I use it I use about 1 tsp chia in my protein shake
Use CO in my coffee - about 1 tsp in each cup - usually 2 a day

Cheryl, that's what I had read. Walk them several times a day NEAR the flags, but not letting them get a shock. Should work out good on our days off. They will have several days in a row to get used to it !

Work went good yesterday ! Hoping the rest of the week goes smoothly
