We got home yesterday afternoon. Left on Thursday and came home on Monday. We loved the RV park we ended up in so we stayed a little longer
Lots of cooking (not LC) and laundry last night and then DS2 came by and stayed a few hours. -- haven't been following any diet plan last 2 weeks --

Was hoping to sleep late this morning, was awake before 7 !! Boy, it's gonna be a long shift till midnight ;(

Cowboy still is digging up the yard ;/ Poured cayenne pepper in holes yesterday to see if that helps. Not sure why he keeps doing it, but we spent a lot of money last year buying grass and trying to get it to spread, can't let him ruin it all.......

Foggy and humid here. Yuck !

Hoping this week is wonderful at work and goes by quickly ! That would be such a blessing

Have a great day !

Had my Dr's appt last week before I left and had my Premarin changed to Clonidine of all things. Explained that i was still having hot flashes and the premarin was $600/yr ! He said I don't have to take hormones if that's the only symptom i'm having -- clonidine is a blood pressure pill and one side effect ~ helps with hot flashes ! Woohoo !! It's super cheap and does seem to be helping a lot !

Black Cohosh is something that was recommended to me for hot flashes. I didn't know you were taking Premarin. It's a terrible drug from the standpoint of how they make it. It is made from the urine of pregnant mares and there's a whole industry around keeping mares pregnant and once the foal is born, taking it from it's mother and reimpregnating the mare. There are places that just take in these foals because they are basically no good to the industry so otherwise would be destroyed. I'm guessing that many are disposed of because there aren't enough places to take them.

Just talking about it because the more women who know about it, the more we can spread the word to other women who are taking the drug or know someone else who is and maybe someday we can end this terrible cycle of abuse and waste. They even prescribe Premarin for dogs (and maybe other animals) who suffer from urinary incontinence. I considered putting Cissy on it when she had intermittent, unexplainable incontinence. I was told about it then.

Anyway, not sure if you should check out that Black Cohosh and see if you really need to be on that Clonidine. That was one of the meds my late husband took. It will probably have bad side effects along with the good one of suppressing hot flashes. I'm sorry. I feel like the bearer of bad news at this very moment. Please forgive me.

I'm glad you had a lovely time of RVing and hope that your work week is the best ever!!! Sorry Cowboy is digging. He's used to roaming so he has all that pent-up energy he used to use by logging miles. He might just be one of those dogs who can't be contained. Maybe he needs some drugs too! A little Xanax might do the trick.

Okay. Shutting up now. Get back on the wagon, chickie! Remember how good it felt to be in the zone? You can do it. If I'm doing it, you sure can!

Welcome back Laura! Missed you!
When my dd had Molly penned up in a yard... she buried some of Molly's poo in each pile that Molly dug up, when putting it back. It worked. Some good bones from the butcher might help him stop digging, they need something to do.
Glad you could get off that expensive drug. Hope your HF's stop soon.

morning Cheryl !

Yes, i knew there are lots of side effects of Premarin, but I had tried lots of OTC things - BC was one - and nothing was working. Well, premarin didn't either. I didn't know about the horses -

Nope, I don't need xanax.

Yes, I'm planning on getting back on track gradually the next few days and be back on track completely by the weekend. Just needed a break I guess. I enjoyed the food, but did find myself eating ALL THE TIME ! Just grazing.......

Hope you have a wonderful day !

Thanks Debby It's nice to be missed

That's hilarious about the poo ! I will tell DH we may have to try it !

All the digging started AFTER DH bought him some huge bones to give him something to do ! I think he started out burying them and then decided digging was fun

Have a great day !

The Xanax was suggested for Cowboy, sweetie. Digging? Not being able to roam, etc. Oh no! I'm sorry it all started after being given some nice bones. I hope the poo idea works. Maybe buy him a couple mitts for his front paws. That would take the fun out of it.

Have a nice day. How was work last night? Did you go back yet?

Hi Laura!
Hope your last 3 days go good. What a marathon work schedule you're on. I really can't imagine working such long shifts.
Planning an over-niter for Shelby? Pretty cool one on one.

When will Shelby come over next? Or when can you go see her? How far away do they live? I'm glad you're half way through your work week. How are the new Dr's working out? I hope it's a better working environment.

How's the weather? It's 14 today. 10 mph wind. I'll be wearing a ski mask under my knitted hat and coat's hood at work today. 6-8" of snow coming on Monday. The winter from hell lives on. I turned the page on the calendar today cause I didn't want to wait another day! I did that with Jan/Feb, too. UGH!

Have a lovely day.

How's cowboy? Still digging? I hope not.

Work. Was. Horrible. We ran our butts off with no lunch -- night shift came on and it settled down for about 30 minutes -- ordered pizza (starving) and of course we filled right up and the night was horrific !

I'm so tired. Stayed over after shift 1 hr 40 minutes ( too busy with transfers and admissions to be able to pass off my pts to other nurses ) - getting home at 2:20 am :/
Woke up with migraine of course... I'm so done. Just done.

I hear you loud and clear. Those are the shifts that add up in your head and cause PTSD over time. I still sometimes have dreams that I'm at work and it's always a night like that.

Are Fridays typically bad nights in your area? At least it's over now. I hope the rest of your shifts go smoothly. If you're not praying all the way to work, you should start now. The benefit of a long commute.

Breathe.

Wow : What a difference a day makes ! Today was good. No complaints here ~ except headache stuck around all day..... just now going away at 1am ( after multiple meds all day ) but I know it was stress and it will probably be gone when I wake up.

Yes I pray on the way to work every day for a smooth shift and that we will "do no harm" to anyone ~ today was a blessing for sure !

Thanks guys for putting up with me

Night all

Lol ! I slept late...... 12:15. So nice to wake up and know I'm off . Happy Girl !

Headed over tomorrow afternoon to watch Shelby do gymnastics and then bring her home with me - probably for 2 nights I've missed her !

New GBaby is due 1 month from today ! went by so fast !

not a lot of extra money this time of year around here. Taxes, insurance for cars and house, etc... but that's ok. Going camping for 3 nights later this week at a little park about 1 hr from here. We are meeting my brother and his family to just BBQ and relax for a few days. That won't cost much

Weather is just beautiful this morning. Last night ( 2am) my phone said "light snow showers" in our little town. I ran and opened the door and there was none ;(. But it got down to 28 I heard......
It's 41 and sunny here now. I love it !!

BBL...... gonna watch a little TV and get a hot hot shower ...... and of course do laundry. There's always laundry :0
