Thank you for the compliments. I am so happy I got through my hardest hurdle, which is about 1-2 weeks in. I usually binge and everything is out the door. This time I have been much more dedicated.

Unfortunately, I have found out other things are dipped in a simple flour coating as well. My beloved Chicken Scallopine and Chicken Marsala from work!! I have been ordering them with a side of asparagus instead of pasta. Imagine my surprise when I watched them make it the last time!!! It is amazing the things that restaurants do to make food taste the way it does.
GG, do you work for a chain restaurant? If so, can you warn us of these evil practices so we can make better choices? Thanks.

thanks !

Staying home today ! All i am leaving the house for is to mail off some scrub tops to exchange them.

Will do some housework and laundry. Hope to go through some cabinets or closets for "garage sale" stuff. If we aren't using it, out it goes !!

Didn't see Shelby yesterday, they had gone camping... bet they are having a blast !

We went and looked at about 10 campers yesterday, none came close to the one we LOVE in Boerne ...... hope we can get one by next year !

marinating a roast..70's outside....fixing to scramble me a bunch of eggs

Must be a great time of year to go camping down there. One where you might actually be able to enjoy sitting around a nice campfire!

I hope you find the perfect camper. You haven't talked about that in so long that I forget what you're looking for. Was it a 5th wheel? That's what I really hope to have one day, but I'd even prefer just one of those mini-motorhomes on Toyota chassis. Those are perfect and I like that the bed is above the cab so the rest of the motorhome is just for living. I really like the ones with the dinette in the rear. You get a horseshoe bench all around the table and big windows to look out. You can kick up your feet and get really cozy.

What did you marinate your roast with?

Yeah cheryl, we did find a great one in Boerne ~ We were just seeing what else is out there. Need more money before we bite off a big expense like that . ;/ Hope you can find one for you and Cissy soon.... maybe you could go more places !

I'm marinating it with salt, pepper, garlic pwd, and a packet of italian seasoning and a packet of ranch pwd..I put it in with a little beef broth.

Vacuumed and swept ......was sweating like a pig. I have been having sweating episodes last week or so, can't wait for cooler weather !

Supposed to be 85 today .....was 87 yesterday while we ran errands. So humid too ! Yucky...

Ate early . I was starving ! Those eggs didn't last till 6 .

Roast had a great flavor, super tender, but a little salty. I don't use as much salt as I used to...... I love salt too much ! Hope I don't hold water due to it .

ttyl !

Sorry the roast came out a little salty. I tend to like salty things but if you go too far, it ruins everything. I really hope you enjoy the pork chops. Have a great night. I hope it cools down some. I thought it was cooler than that. We're in the 30's at night but still above freezing. It won't be long and we'll be plugging in the horse's water buckets and putting on their sheets at night.

Hi Hope you get past the bloat... salt may delay that... I got brave the other day & crock-potted beef ribs in spaghetti sauce, thinking it would be better than BBQ sauce that I can't have. Well, it was good, but the salt in it was brutal to me on the scale. I hadn't even noticed a salty taste. Oh well, it was gone again, but now I don't want the left-overs.

Oh Laura, your story about the other nurses TV watching was funny! I hope they realize how totally inappropriate that was at the work place!

Sorry your weather is hot and humid - that really gets "OLD" after a while. It's been nice these past few days here in Maryland! Crisp and clear!

Hope you get the salt bloat out of your system soon! Water! Water! Water!

It was funny when the minister showed up Susan, not so much when I was having to put up with that immature behavior ;/

80 and it feels like a wall of water when you step outside ! Cool front and rain on the way later ! yahoo !! I need cooler weather !

So bummed.... I scored when I found a 3 pk of almond milk at Sam's the other day . Only like $10 !! Went out to get one this morning, and it's not the UNsweetened ..;/ It's over an hour to the Sam's. Guess we'll end up dragging it up to Austin tomorrow in an icechest with ice to return it ....and my OCD husband who saves every receipt for everything we ever buy, threw away the receipt !! Oy vey....... :0 Hope they let me exchange it !

Allergies are kicking my butt ! Come on rain !!

Oh, what a pain in regards to that Almond Milk. Such a long drive! I hope you didn't go all that way just for that. Oh, well. Live and learn. If they exchange it without a receipt, I'll be really amazed. Maybe because it's Sam's Club and not a regular store. I know Costco has a great return policy.

Have a good day. Sorry for the bloat but it will pass.

I almost forgot I wanted to tell y'all about some sausage I found at Sams. You know how they have samples ? I usually just say no thank you .... cause it's usually something I don't eat. But, this lady had some sausage.. wow.....it smelled so good. I said what kind is it ? Black pepper and feta she said.. hmmmm. I looked at the package and it's 1 carb ! There were 7 links for $7. I tried it . OhMyGosh !!! So good !

Anyway, I forgot the name of the sausage but if you happen to go there... in the deli/meat section, ask someone about the black pepper/feta sausage and I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.

Oh, and it's fully cooked. Just steam, grill , or microwave !!!! Win /Win !

Ummm. guess what I'm heating up right now ?

Yummo! We don't have Sam's Club up here. BJ's and Costco only, as far as I know. I'm glad you enjoyed the sausages, though. Get you some!

I wish you weren't in such a remote location to everything. That must make everything so hard. Bet you have to plan ahead and make sure you hit all the places you need to hit each time you go to town.

yep... we do.

DH doesn't want to move. We are outside of a small small town ...

I think we will change our membership to Costco after this one runs out at Sam's. We are 1 hr in one direction to Sams and 1hr in the other direction to Costco ! Won't matter

Sausage was good. ) yum yum

Yeah, I missed that part at the end where you said you were warming one of those sausages up. Glad you found something you like. Sounds like you could flip a coin to decide which club to stay with. I guess it would matter more what other stores and restaurants and sites are around one or the other. Is one closer to the beach or something?

I miss Padre Island. I have some great pics and video of my times there. Long, long ago and far, far away. Have a great night off, Laura. Pleasant dreams.

Did my 2nd day Plank ~~ asked DH to do it ~ he said "heck no, I don't want to be sore tomorrow " lol !

Going up to Round Rock ( outside of Austin ) tomorrow and will eat out with DS1 and family and then go trick or treating with Shelby and the whole family ! Hope the rain has stopped by then.. supposed to be a wicked storm tomorrow !

We will stay the night there and we are going to look at RV's and mess around for another day . Yay !! We aren't going to buy one, but make sure the one we like is still the best fit for us
DS2 will stay here and keep Allie ( snickers will entertain her ) ;0

Hope you all have a wonderful , blessed night !

Enjoy your time Trick or Treating with Shelby! That beats opening the door 50 times! I'm not a fan of Halloween! I'm stuck with the door duty every year! It gets OLD!

Hope you have fun browsing the RV's! We browse boats every year in Annapolis at the power boat show. It's fun to see whats out there, but could never afford !

Sorry the scale went up again. Your rain is moving out and ours is moving in! They are predicting wind gusts in the 40-50 mph range! Hope it's all over by the time I go to work tomorrow afternoon.

Have fun in Austin and enjoy your eating out!
