That's wonderful that the "scarey" popping helped. Gotta love that!
DH was just saying how scarey it is to him, getting "cracked"... feels like its going to really wreck him (he also has not been to them much). Hope it helps your DH also.
Good for you, losing 2 lbs. Finding what works for you & sticking to it is what its all about.
Oh that rib-eye steak sounds so good! Perfect diet dinner out
My DH is late getting home & I'm getting hungry, snacking on my veggies & meat.

Wish you could have joined us for supper...... Wouldn't it be fun if we could meet ? lol

Yep, that "popping" was scary, but didn't hurt at all ! Supposed to go again this afternoon ~~ back is doing great :0

Have decided to try a meat/egg fast after reading the egg fast thread last night. I have some deviled eggs in fridge and some ribs (leftovers ) that I need to eat anyway. So, i fried 2 eggs and had a few ribs for br/lunch while ago. Going to make myself drink plain water today - had coffee with CO earlier - and see if it makes any difference on scale tomorrow !
People are saying they are losing about 1-2 lbs a day and it is staying off ! That would be great

Deb we cruise on Sept 1 for 7 days !
My brother invited us to Houston on Sat Aug 31st so we may stay in a hotel near Galveston so we don't have to drive all the way home and then all the way to Galveston the next morning.

Well, my weight is still higher than I want it ~~ so I feel really fat right now

Not feeling well today...... very sore and sluggish. Cancelled appt with chiro and just resting and taking it easy.

Ate some greek yogurt around 1pm and later some deli meat and a cheese stick with a few grapes. Not sure if it was the egg/meat fast or the chiro making my joints hurt ?? Just taking it easy .........

Feeling a little better now. Just put a pan of jalapeno poppers in the oven ( they always make me feel better ) and making a simple shrimp recipe that looks yummy.
DH is outside painting without my help. It's really hot too. I feel bad for him...

Here's the recipe if anyone is interested :

Ruth's Chris New Orleans-Style BBQ Shrimp

Ingredients:
-Makes 4 servings
-20 large (16/20) shrimp, peeled and deveined
-1 ounce canola oil
-1 tablespoon plus 5 teaspoons green onions, chopped
-2 ounces dry white wine
-1 teaspoon fresh chopped garlic
-4 tablespoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
-1 teaspoon Tabasco
-1/2 teaspoon cayenne
-1/2 teaspoon paprika
-8 ounces (2 sticks) salted butter

Directions:
Place a large cast iron skillet on a burner and heat over high heat. Add oil and cook shrimp until they are just done. It's best to prepare shrimp in batches if you do not have large skillet. Remove shrimp and set aside on a large platter.

Add green onions to the oil in the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Add white wine and let simmer until it is reduced by half.

When the wine is reduced by half, add chopped garlic, Worcestershire, Tabasco. cayenne pepper and paprika. Shake the pan well and cook for 1 minute. Reduce the heat to low.

Cut butter into small chunks with the knife and slowly add into pan, shaking fast to melt butter.

Continue to add butter and shake until all butter is melted. Add shrimp back to pan and toss well to coat shrimp with butter and seasonings and to heat the shrimp. Place shrimp on four plates and enjoy.

oh thanks, I feel much better now. Wasn't sure if it was from being "popped" and stuff the last few days or if it was the no carb making me feel lousy but much better this evening !

Jalapeno poppers are whole jalapenos cut lengthwise and seeds removed. Fill with cream cheese and wrap with a slice of bacon. Cook outside on grill or in oven till bacon is crispy ! The jalapeno gets mellow and isn't hot anymore I just love them

Have a nice night !

Oh no!! Gotta keep the "hot" in the jalapeno! Sounds good otherwise... wonder if you left the seeds in...

I love my protein shakes made with raw eggs. We have our own chickens so I don't worry about them. So creamy!!

supper was just tuna/mayo/egg and some celery and grapes. Lots of water.

Did eat a handful of mixed nuts ( not peanuts ) and a cheese stick earlier ~~

DS2 and his GF invited us out to eat and go bowling ~ but with my back like it is we didn't go ( even though I really wanted to eat out )

Good day today. Had our fajitas for late lunch and DS1 was headed over since he has to work next few day shifts, and he called and said Shelby was asking for us so he brought her with him ! <3
She is still up since she had a late nap ~~ DS is already asleep. Shelby is confused ~ it's my son's room, Shelby thinks it's HER room. She said "Daddy , that's my room. Where will Nana and me sleep ?" So cute.....

Right hip is hurting again, so will go see chiro tomorrow. Last day off ~ can't believe I've been off so long with 2 sick days (back) and 3 vacation days !! It doesn't feel like it since I was pretty miserable the 1st 4-5 days .....what a waste of vacation days ;(

Hope you all had a great day . God Bless and good night

Shelby has gone home....I'm pooped ! So happy she got to come though....she says constantly " I love you Nana " ~~ lots of kisses <3

made the recipe I think I put on FB ~ from Vanessa's blog on FB ~ meat and cabbage and spices ....it's good !!
Just grated carrots - going to make the Chicken Lady's carrot cake ~ here on LCF's ~ it's really good. Will portion it out and freeze part of it and put icing on some and take to work tomorrow ~~ All LC of course

I'm loving my new appliances ~ man , it sure makes cooking so easy !

House is kinda bombed - not our norm - we are pretty neat but I don't care. Don't feel like killing myself when I start back for my 6 shifts tomorrow ------DH is a neat freak though so he may work on it some. Doing laundry and dishes of course tonight .... can't leave those undone !!

Hope you all are having a good day !

Yeah, if your dh is bothered enough about the mess, it may just magically disappear!
Glad you enjoyed your sweet night-owl kiddo!

DH is a neat freak. He can't stand the house messy or cluttered at all. Dishes are done. Clothes are done. He's bathing Allie right now

Needed to sweep dust and vacuum...... oh well. I'll do it next Monday.

Yes, had a great time with Shelby. Told DH I would LOVE to be a Nana without a bad back......oh how much more fun we would have !!

Back to work today...... I'm ready. Living in a small town and it being so hot, it's easy to get bored. And I get bored easily.........

Going to have to update my stats now. Honestly, usually when I have gone off plan for a few days the weight came back off easily. Now, I finally have a vacation planned ~ and I can't get this weight off ! Only 3lbs down after 12 days back on plan !! Yikes :0

So....... I am going to be super strict. And I think I'm going to make an 8pm cut off for eating. ( that's hard since I work till midnight ) I think that last little snack before I go to sleep needs to go. And my grapes........wah wah....... I LOVE red grapes !! But alas, the carbs aren't helping me get to where I need to be even though i ration them out.

OK....truth time. Change the stats and get this weight off. 12 lbs !!! That's how much I have gained over last 6 months or so.......most of it over 2 weeks. I just can't get over that part. Dang it !!!!!!!!

Have a great week ! I love LCF's and all the great friends and support here

Ah, I feel the same way about too much time off. Work tends to break up the boredom that would set in without a structure.
Good on you, updating your stats. Hard to do... but it will help you.
Your changes to your diet are a great place to make small changes. Packing a dinner to eat at work? The more you plan ahead, the better.

Hope everything goes well!

Two days down, hey?! So happy for you that your back feels good! Do you think the chiropractor treatments helped?

Me too. I always pack a lunch & make a big one for dh as well, every morning.
I need to go see a chiropractor too... pulled something. But, I probably won't get around to it... just keep stretching.

Hope your sleep went well & have a great day
