Awww. Glad she liked them ! It was a fun time

How have you been ? Are you still doing ok adding things into your diet ?

Ugh. I told DH the other day when we bought groceries that I was SICK of being on a diet and I wanted to cook and eat like everyone else ! I think I put something on here about that too.....

Cooked all week, we ate out, made cookies, had ice cream almost every day........ on and on.

And, surprise surprise !! I felt like crap all week, I took naps every day, My back hurt every day...... didn't do any walking.....and I GAINED 8 LBS as of today !!
Also, had headaches every day too !

I can't be bad even when I want to !

Well, now there's bread, crackers, tortillas, etc. in the house. DH will have to eat them. I feel like I kinda wasted this beautiful week just sitting in front of TV and napping ;(

Rant over !!

Ah Laura,
Sorry you had to go through that. The old "flesh" just doesn't want to die, does it... Such an obvious object lesson though hey?

I'm doing well on my diet. Have added more fat, salt, dairy & some fruit. Its nice to have a slight shift in my eating, but I'm pretty happy with "routine." I don't need variety like most people do. Very comfortable with familiar.

Hope your day goes well & you can flush out those pesky lbs.

Oh i know I can, but man, I can't wait to feel better !

I just love to cook and kinda miss making all the things I used to..... but , boy, I don't miss feeling like I feel right now !

Funny I am way less upset about the lbs gained. More upset about how achy and tired I feel, ...... life lesson ?

that's great that you can enjoy adding in some tasty things. I envy you for being able to eat the same things all the time. I can't . I am a foodie..... I love food and variety !

Not Focused is my problem Susan Every time I lose 2-3 lbs and get closer to goal, I go on an eating splurge for 2-7- days and ruin it !
I'm Maintaining.....but I want to be at GOAL !

You will jump back on when you are ready... you know how that feeling comes over you and you start eating and feeling better Guess we all have to get to that point and life gets in the way sometimes .

So glad you are back, it's great !

Hi Susan
I've tried Chia seeds. They are very good for thyroid sufferers... also very full of B vitamins... so, when I added them to my breakfast cereal they gave me nausea. I didn't have that problem eating them at my snack time in the afternoon though. Pretty cool seeds. Soak up lots of moisture!

sorry Susan, I forgot to answer... ( thanks Debby for reminding me )

I have never tried them although lots of people really like them.

Good 1/2 day today and then I hit Walmart and HEB before I headed home and actually got here just as it got dark !

have to head to bed really early ( before 11 ) ~~ that's SUPER early for me

need to be in Houston at the church before 9:45 and it's over an hour away ~~ not exactly sure where it's at either.

Hope you all have a good evening !

It looks like the closer we get to our goal the harder it becomes. I'm having the same problem, found myself eating just a wee bit more of those naughty foods. Next week I'm back to staying focused; I see you're so close to your goal weight, continue to stay focused. I'm sure you can do it, I'm definitely pulling for you!

Well, haven't heard from her, so I put some huge chicken breasts in oven to roast and am thawing out some beef tips ( DH loves them with gravy over mashed potatoes )

Fixing to pour down here Crazy weather !

It's almost 4pm and I just now took my shower and changed out of my Jammies Lazy day here .

Not even in the mood to go out now, with the rain and the drive, guess I'm just being a dud. But , i'm a happy dud

Remodeling !!! Love updating things !!! We just had hardwood floors put in the family room after 17 years of the original carpet ! Looks great. I wanted to go ahead and do the living room too, but my DH didn't want the added expense. He's the finance handler in the family and believes in cash vs credit. I guess we are better off for it in the long run.

Yep... $$$ ! We did our countertops, light fixtures, pulls & knobs and kitchen floor 5 years ago. Had to get rid of the 1996 gold tone stuff and update to a brushed nickle finish. (Still have the gold tone stuff in the rest of the house though ) Have changed out the appliances as they have died. Still waiting for my dishwasher to die . I want a stainless steel one. Someday!

We had crown molding put in throughout the house
Tile floors/carpet throughout house
All new appliances - fridge,freezer,washer, dryer,microwave,dishwasher !!!
All windows framed out and painted
Tubs removed and tiled in

The list goes on and on........ spent a ton of money !

This time I hope it won't be as $$$

Scale is not my friend today ;/ I have that " I feel lighter " feeling, but scale says NO

Have a good day !
