Morning!

I suck at journaling and will be impressed if I post more than once a week/month but here goes!

I weighed this morning. 322.2 Up 4lbs after only half committing the last 3 weeks. Not horrible, but don't want to keep going back up. I have been playing with the same 15lbs for like 3 years now

So far for breakfast today I had 15 black olives, 20 green olives and a diet Dr. Pepper. Lunch will likely be Linda Sue's Cauliflower Bisque and dinner is going to be pork roast and sauerkraut.

I am working really hard at just focusing on one day at a time for food and weight because I have soooo much to lose, it's overwhelming. I also want to break it in chunks with my first goal of getting to 299 but I don't know what time frame to give myself. I tend to set unrealistic goals and expectations for myself (in everything, not just weight) and then when I can't meet them.

Made it through the day. Craving sweets pretty bad tonight which is weird since I don't normally care for sweets in general - probably the detoxing from regular soda.

Dinner was yummy (not the best pic because I didn't think about taking a pic till after I slopped it on my plate and started eating ):

Pork Roast with Balsamic Glaze, Sauerkraut, Sauteed Garlicky Green Beans

I had probably 3 servings of the green beans, but at least I over indulged in something good instead of crap.

Tomorrow's meal plan is:
B: chunky cauliflower soup
L: leftover pork, sauerkraut, and green beans
D: Creamy Chicken Picasso « Kayotic Kitchen made with ground beef instead of chicken and a big salad

My other goal is to drink at least 4 big glasses of water.

Hi guys! Thanks for the encouragement

So far today is going as planned. Only been up for an hour but I'll take what I can get

Todays plan is still:
B: chunky cauliflower soup
L: leftover pork, sauerkraut, and green beans
D: Creamy Chicken Picasso « Kayotic Kitchen made with ground beef instead of chicken and a big salad

My other goal is to drink at least 4 big glasses of water

I am not hungry yet so I haven't heated up the soup. Instead I am working on some Vanilla something or other tea (plain, no sweeteners)

Another day down!

I didn't get all the water in that I wanted to but I am okay with that.

It took every ounce of my being to stay out of the Christmas candy today but I did

Dinner was changed. The boys really wanted Carls Jr. so I ordered a low carb burger. It was hard as heck but I didn't even have a single fry.

Thanks for the support guys

Weighed this morning and was 317.6. Down 5lbs since Tuesday. Of course it’s water weight, but that has to come off before the fat can. I am happy with it. My goal is to get to 299 by Feb.

Today’s food:

B: Chunky cauliflower bisque (if I can ever find 5 mins to get in the kitchen and heat it up )
L: Double Chicken Chopped Salad from Subway (chicken, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, olives, bell peppers, cucumbers) with homemade ranch
D: The Ground Beef Picasso we didn’t have yesterday and a salad

One day at a time is the best way to think....we gained one day at a time and now we will lose one day at a time.....sometimes slowly and sometimes with a bang loss...but just as long as we are trying to achieve our goal one day....
I journal for it keeps me honest with myself ....some days are slow then wow...I feel just great others....I dont beat myself up about the scales even though I still weigh....finally may have found a challenge to be on just to talk to others for support..
You can lose it when your heart, mind and body says you really want tooo....Each day is a new day....

Morning!

Did really well yesterday. Down another pound so that is 6lbs since Tues Still need to work on the water though.

Dinner was really yummy. I based it off the Creamy Chicken Picasso recipe from Kaylyn's Kitchen. Just browned 2lbs ground beef, added in a crushed chicken bouillon cube, some Italian seasonings and garlic. Then added in 1 can diced tomatoes, ½ cup heavy cream, ½ cup water and diced bell peppers (the recipe calls for 3, I used 2 because one of mine was bad and it was plenty) simmered till the bell peppers were cooked and then added 2 cups shredded cheddar. Everyone wolfed it down. I had planned on having salad with it as well but wasn’t that hungry so I skipped it.

Today’s plan is:
B: Chunky Cauliflower Soup
L: Leftover Beef Picasso
D: Boys want spaghetti and I am not feeling green beans as a base so I will hollow out some zucchini and make mine in that with parm melted on top. We also have to get haircuts this afternoon too though so we may grab something while out and I’ll have to plan from there.

Happy Friday! Hope everyone has a great weekend

guys!

Woke up this morning to 313.4. My highest pregnancy weight was 313 so I am thrilled to be back down that way. It's also the lowest I have been in about a year. Just need to keep moving in the downward direction.

We went to Hometown Buffet last night for dinner and I was good. I ate a lot but I was also very hungry. I didn't leave with that uncomfortably full feeling at all.

I ate 3 hunks of steak (probably 3/4 to 1lb worth ), steamed broccoli, 2ish oz roast beef, salad, and I really really wanted fried shrimp so I let myself have 2 and that was that. They weren't even that good

They also had sugar free frozen yogurt so I got about 1 cups worth, ate about 4 bites, decided I was full and left the rest.

I was very proud of myself. Buffets are usually hard for me because I want all the carby stuff (like fried shrimp).

Todays plan:

B/L: we are going to Costco so I'll get a bunless hotdog there.
D: Zucchini stuffed with spaghetti sauce, ground meat and Italian sausage then baked.

Good for you for walking away from the buffet! I am not good with buffets because I always think that I should keep eating. It's so important to recognize when you're full and just walk away!!! I'm still working on that.

I love the picture of the pork! Sounds delicious....balsamic glaze...yum.

Yeah, I usually have a really hard time not over eating at buffets simply because it's there. That is something else I am trying to work on...not eating everything on my plate/in front of me/etc just because it's there. If I am hungry, fine. If not, I can have more later.

I have serious munchies tonight. I don't know what to do to stop them. I have eaten okay I think...We got up super late, hit Costco at noon, I had a hot dog without the bun (the lady didn't even look at me funny when I asked for it that way ) and then for dinner an Atkins frozen meal and pork rinds and jalapeno greek yogurt dip. I don't think I am really hungry, I just have the psychological munchies.

I was just dealing with that myself. Had a great lunch of hot wings and salad, and wanted to eat when I got home......I'm definitely not hungry, though. I need to focus!

OooooHHHH hot wings sound really yummy!

I made it through last night thankfully.

Today is a lazy day at home. I may have to run to the store in a bit for some water (I am a water snob and will not drink tap water) but other than that I am just working on homework today.

Today's food plan:

B: Caramel Delight Atkins Shake
L: Don't know. Salad? I have some chicken meatballs I made and froze awhile back. I could get them out and make hot wing meatballs.
D: Stuffed zucchini

I was feeling snacky today but stuck with having a bell pepper and some jalapeno dip. Breakfast was an atkins shake, lunch an atkins frozen meal (yeah, I was lazy) and dinner:

Stuffed Zucchini and (boring) lettuce salad with ranch

I sliced the zucchini lengthwise, used a melon baller to get the insides out (which is a huge PITA, btw) drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper then roasted it till tender. Then I topped it with browned Italian sausage, a little spaghetti sauce and some shredded parm then back in the oven till the cheese was melted. So yummy!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Morning!

Weigh in this morning was 314.6. Up a pound from a few days ago but I suspect it is because I didn’t drink enough water this weekend. Not worried.

Even though tomorrow is technically 1 week, I am calling today the weigh in day so I can move it to Mondays. That means for week 1 I lost 7.6lbs (I am down 20.4lbs from my highest of 335 in September ). I am perfectly happy with that.

Todays plan:

B: cauliflower soup when/if I get hungry
L: left over stuffed zucchini, salad with ranch
D: taco salad (romaine, taco meat, tomatoes, sautéed onions & peppers, avocado and jalapeno yogurt dip for the dressing)

Lots and lots of water

Hope everyone has a great week

I blew it tonight.

Saturday we went and got haircuts. The lady BUTCHERED our hair. I called the corporate office today to ask for a refund and planned to go elsewhere. The district manager gave us the refund for all 3 cuts then insisted (in a polite trying to please the customer way) that we also allow them to fix it. I politely told her I'd never step foot in that store again. She sent us to the manager of another store close by and had her fix it (free of charge) and is still refunding us.

Anyway, because we were out so late, we went to Hometown Buffet. I started out good, had 2 pieces of steak, steamed broccoli, and a salad. Afterwards, I was craving something sweet badly so then I justified Waldorf salad. It's apples and walnuts, right? Yeah. Covered in some sort of sweet something. So then after that I pulled the 'Well I already blew it..." and had an ice cream cone.

Then, I felt guilty about it so I went to the bathroom and threw some of it back up

I always do this to myself. Do great for a week then sabotage myself. The purging is new and something I need to get under control NOW because I know that's a bad road to start down.

Tomorrow's another day right?

Oh Cryssi, you haven't "blown it".
Life happens in between! The important thing is to get right back on plan again THIS INSTANT!
Low Carb is such a forgiving way of eating. If you make it a way of life and just dust yourself off and carry on after you've slipped, well, you'll still see results.

Thanks Jinny.

Tomorrow I plan on having an Atkins shake for bfast and lunch then taco salad for dinner. Lots and lots of water.

That should hopefully help make up for some of my discretions.
