Yesterday went well! I opened window at 4:20 with my usual 100 calorie bag of almonds, a protein shake, coconut oil, little bit of leftover hardboiled egg and mayo salad and a little cucumber with ranch. After workout I had some pan fried bistec (like a beef breakfast steak, real thin slices) and some scrambled eggs with shredded cheddar cheese on top. Window closed at about 7:40.

Scale this am was all over the place from 186.2-187.0, I got 187.0 the most, so that's what I'm going with!

Also and this may be TMI, but another reason I'm loving Fast 5... When doing JUDDD I frequently felt like I had put my body in starvation mode, I had low energy workouts and BM's had slowed to like 2 days a week. Now on Fast 5, so far my workouts are going fine and I'm back to a regular once a day bm routine, usually about 30 minutes after opening my eating window.
Have no idea what the difference is, but my body seems to be alot happier with this eating schedule.

Scale said 186.0 this morning! Have a feeling I'm not going lower for a while though.. I'm thinking I'll float around in the 186-187's for a while.. Opened window yesterday at 4:00 with my usual almonds. I switched things up with my protein shake and did it hot instead. I used my protein powder, almond milk, coconut oil and instant coffee. It was yummy, so think I'm going to stick with that!
I didn't have much energy in my workout, but that's not very unexpected since it was my 3rd day straight with Kathy Long, who's classes are just rediculously hard and fast paced..
Ate dinner which was pork chops and salad. Window closed right at 9:00, so a little on the later side for me, but still a 5 hour window..

Yesterday was great! Opened window as usualy with almonds, "hot" protein shake, andsome broccoli with ranch. Went and did a boot camp workout. I had very low energy during the workout the day before, so I was thinking I was just going to be worse yesterday, but all in all, I had a good workout! Afterwards I had big salad with ground turkey on it, so kinda a taco salad without the taco... Closed window at 7:40. Scale said 186.6 in the am.

Not so hot day yesterday.. Opened window at about 4:30 with my almonds, hot protein shake thing, I made a low carb tortilla with bacon, egg and cheese wrap thing. Brought my son to soccer practice, where I ended up eating almost half an organic orange, I had a hard time from there on out, so I'm sure it was the "sweetness" triggering something.... Got home and all I could think about was food and I wasn't even really hungry! I had another lc tortilla with lunch meat, sliced cheese and mayo, had some brocolli and ranch, 2 cheese sticks, couple more slices of lunch meat, some store brand peanut butter , the last kiwi in my fridge, a pinch of trail mix and a bite off the end of a grilled hot dog (just the dog, no bun)... Pretty sure that was it, already makes me feel better now that I've written it all down. It was a hard struggle to not keep eating but somehow I managed to close that window at 9:00, so did stick to the 5 hrs.

I'm sure my sodium was pretty high yesterday, which gave me a weigh in of 188.4 this morning, I guess I'm glad it's not worse. My plan for today is to just have 1 meal, so a 1 hour window and drink lots of water to start flushing out that salt. No workout scheduled today, so shouldn't be a problem!

but really, an orange?! less than half of one at that!

Last 2 days have been good. Had about a 1 hour window both days. Yesterday went to a Mexican restaurant and had carnitas! They had onions on top, I skipped the beans and rice and had them give me all lettuce with some sour cream. I also had a little cheese dip and part of my son's hamburger patty. When I got home I had some coffee with HWC. Scale this morning said 189.2.

I'm thinking about counting my calories for a while... probably aiming for 1200-1400. What do you all think?

I had a pretty good day yesterday. Calories were 1300 something.. was hard to count dinner since I had thrown a whole chicken in the crock pot. I don't have a food scale, so hopefully I didn't guess too high on the calories. It'll be interesting to see after a few days, whether or not I feel like I'm eating a lot less than I was... Scale said 187.0 this am.

Melanie, I would definitely invest in a food scale. I think I paid about $5 on ebay for mine, and it's a life saver. I still weigh everything just to make sure. I thought I could get comfortable and eyeball things, but I continue to weigh and continue to be surprised how "off" my eyeballing is!

You're doing so great, especially with your amazing workouts!

Well a food scale is supposed to be my reward for whenever I get down to 184, but it's been taking forever!

Good day yesterday. Went to my bootcamp workout and had a chat with the instructor afterwards. She's an amazing lady, works full time and then comes and teaches these killer classes, on Monday and Wednesday she does 2.5 hours of back to back classes and is no spring chicken since she's been teaching them for 30 years, rock hard body. Anyways I asked her some diet advice. She's about the same height as me and right off the bat she guessed I should be eating like 2000 calories with the workouts I'm doing. I was like but to lose though? Anyways I guess I'll go higher on workout days and then maybe a little less on the weekend..

Scale said 186.2 this morning and I ate almost 1700 calories yesterday. I feel like I always drop in the beginning of the week and then after Thursday I start going back up. Hopefully somehow this week I can put the breaks on that!

Well yesterday I ate 1950 calories. I had about 800 when I broke my fast and then the rest for dinner after my workout. Energy for my workout was pretty good. I'm also happy with my fat, protein and carb ratios. Scale said 186.4 this morning so not bad... pretty hungry today, which is kinda surprising.. also need to figure out how many calories I'm going to be eating on non workout days...

Yesterday went well. I worked out and had 2030 calories. I bought some pickles and have been eating one a day for the last couple days, which isn't the best thing in the world due to the salt content. Scale said 186.6 this morning, so happy I'm holding these 186's, hopefully it'll drop lower soon. Really need to make sure I keep up with my water on the weekend!

I went a little over my calories yesterday, it was just under 2200. Had a busy day and couldn't log them until after I was done eating, so I was like "whoops"! I still technically ate less than I burned though.. I went with a friend to walk/jog. I did a 15 min jogging segment and a 5 minute one during a total of 40 minutes, so it was 20jog/20walk. If we keep going on Fridays I'm going to try to up the jogging part by 5 minutes each time.

Scale said 187.6 this morning, which isn't too bad considering the calories and how much sodium it said I took in.. No workout scheduled for today, so I think I will do a lower calorie day.

Calories yesterday were 1459. Those came mostly from high fat coffee, sauteed yellow squash and a lettuce wrapped bacon, cheese, mushroom hamburger! Yum! The scale this morning gave me a small new low of 185.6! Usually my weight is spiking up over the weekend so I am very happy with that! I've been trying very hard to get in the same amount of water as I do when working too.

Busy day yesterday but did pretty good. Calories were 1723. Sugar alcohols were pretty high from eating some chocolate covered peanuts... Scale was nice though and gave me another small new low! 185.2... Now to start this week's workouts this evening!

Scale said 184.8 this morning! Super exciting! Got to get as low as I can before the pre TOM bloat hits. Maybe I can actually hit my goal for April which is 182... calories yesterday were about 2100.

Scale was a butt this morning... gave me 187.0! I was thinking it would be up though cuz I did a lot of strength training yesterday and am sore and stiff. Plus my sodium was on the higher end too. Calories were 2000.

Been getting a lot of compliments lately from people saying I look like I've lost a lot of weight! Makes me feel good since progress has been so slow...

Yesterday went well! Ate about 2000 calories and did all my workouts. TOM surprised me this morning, a little ahead of schedule. Scale was nicer than yesterday. Said 185.8. Still sore today since I've added in more strength training this week.

Didn't weigh this am... I wimped out, I'm so bloated and fingers so swollen my ring was tight this morning. Oh TOM... Also didn't help that I stuffed my face with ground meat yesterday... I love low carb taco salad and I just kept on adding the meat.... thinking calories were 2450 yesterday. High, but at least my workout enabled me to be ok. Planning on calories being lower through the weekend since whatever workouts I do won't be so intense..

I guess if I'm going to have a pms binge, there's worse things than taco meat! Least it was low carb!

Well I weighed in today... 187.2, not bad since my calories yesterday were restaurant calories. Don't know how many they were, I had some almonds and peanuts to tide me over till I got to the restaurant and then I had carnitas, lettuce w/ sour cream, cheese dip, grilled shrimp, then a little coffee later on.

Went for a jog with a friend yesterday too. Don't remember how many laps I did exactly, but think I jogged a little over 2 miles. I know I could have kept going, but time was up.. I think I probably could jog a 5k now and am excited to do it sometime, just to see what my time is at!

You're doing fabulous!

How freakin exciting to know you could do a 5K!!! If I could run just 1 lap I'd probably die of shock & excitement!

Keep on truckin, I'm so thrilled to see you doing SO well!

Thank you Danielle! I'm excited too, I feel like after almost 4 months of working my butt off I'm finally starting to see results, both in my workouts and my body. When I started I don't think I could hardly jog a 1/4 of a mile at gunpoint...

I didn't get my calories logged over the weekend, but I've been good and they should be fine... Yesterday was on the salty side though..

Weighed in this am at 187.4. I'm more than ready to drop back down another 2-3 lbs! Been reading a lot of good stuff in Peter Attia's blog. Love, love, love it!!

Yesterday's weigh in was 186.something and today's was 187.2, which is a little irritating since I've been doing good and Tom has hit the road... Granted yesterday was my heaviest strength training day and I ate some of those jalapeno cheddar little smokie sausages that are high in sodium...

I haven't been the best lately... I ate carbs this weekend, including ice cream! I have stuck with my workouts though! I'm planning on doing a low carb/Fast 5/5-2 combo...

Monday was supposed to be a DD, but turned into a MD. Banana chips and peanut butter are a pitfall for me, but thankfully there are no more in the house! I need to stay out of all the salty processed foods too or really limit them, been lovin me some pepperoni and salami! My weights been 188-189 lately.

So the plan is to get all my food logged and have Mondays and Fridays DD's. I can do this, I so wanna be in the 170's someday! Monday started a new session of a local online weight loss challenge and I really want to rock this one!
